Maybe it's a sign though?fecking wanker, funding the glazers
We've got another month of this to go. Roll on 2k
Maybe it's a sign though?
Mikky vetoed it.Has he ordered one of them too?
You think the likes of Jason Burt would fall for pressure tactics?Obvious tactic from us to put pressure on Barca
Yes. Yes I do.You think the likes of Jason Burt would fall for pressure tactics?
Maybe. I hope you're right.
Frenkie can sit in the bench until November and he’ll still start at the WC. He’s their best midfielder (player) by some distance. Is FdJ guaranteed game time till the WC? If he stays will Xavi be permitted to bench such a high earner for the entire season? What if Barca start poorly?

We have an ownership who don’t give two shits, a boardroom incompetent beyond belief and a fanbase ready to storm Old Trafford - we finished 6th last year and currently have an inferior squad - can someone tell me why in the name of feck FDJ would want to join this club? It’s an absolute mess.

I hope you'reright. I can't buy it thoughYes. Yes I do.
Nothing wrong with me at all. You don’t know what the player wants, there’s no evidence at all that he wants to go to Chelsea other than sources that haven’t been verifiable. But there are some facts that we can base on make some measured conclusions e.g, are the player is a Dutch player, playing for Barcelona having previously worked with Utd’s current manager. There’s a deal in place awaiting player’s approval. His agent has already been in Manchester. These are all hard facts and they’re all in Utd’s favourI'm not disputing that fact? What is wrong with you
My point is about player preference. We can agree a deal 100 times with Barcelona - that's not the hurdle mate.
Look at all the journalist quotes Chelsea, and the Telegraph updates today re. us and SMS.
I hope you'reright. I can't buy it though
Besides what the others have already mentioned, the biggest thing is that de Jong and his camp both haven't told Chelsea that he wants to join them. The moment Chelsea contacted de Jong and his camp, they were told that the player prefers to stay at Barcelona. Everything coming from the reliable sources is either based on other reports ("it has been reported", "as reported", "according to reports", etc.) or based on conjecture ("Chelsea believe", "it is believed", "it is likely", "looking likely", etc.). The moment a reliable Chelsea/United reports something coming from their sources about de Jong wanting to join Chelsea, that's the moment when we can forget about him joining United.Matt Law said Chelsea believe they will have preference their way.
Rob Dawson gave credence to persistent rumours he wants Chelsea.
Mitten said last week he had two sources that confirmed he would prefer Chelsea. I dont know how this is ambiguous.
Telegraph said United resigned to the fact that Frenkie doesnt want him.
There is absolutely no insinuation from anyone that Frenkie would prefer United over Chelsea.
None of those are panic buy. The only one which was by the deadline is ighalo because we worked the whole window to address the squad depth issue and the player with that profile (offer alternative and was happy as backup and was available) was difficult to find and materialize. You must be kidding? Falcao, Ighalo, the Arnautovic pursuit, deadline deal for Cavani etc etc.
The "problem" was your evaluation of my logic - which is actually on the premise that our club has incompetent people making transfer decisions. I'm saying their transfer IQ is average, or below average. You strongly disagree - which is odd.
Also if you look at the SMS transfer pursuit last minute, it points to panic, because we somewhat daftly put all our eggs in the FdJ basket.
You must be kidding? Falcao, Ighalo, the Arnautovic pursuit, deadline deal for Cavani etc etc.
Jesus, and you called me foolishNone of those are panic buy.
Do we? I thought it was over. When two tribes go to war…We've got another month of this to go. Roll on Sept 1st.

They'll activate another lever, and reduce some salaries and will be fine. Sell or loan a few players. They’ll be fine… so we keep being told
Not to mention the implication that a player played the league under an illegal contract (if we buy the Laporta PR machine line). Other teams might appeal for Barcelona to lose their Champions League spot. The part that makes no sense though is that if he is not a free agent then he reverts to the old deal under the terms of which he has not been paid 17M that he is due and for the record the old deal would still put him above the ceiling they have established for their new wage structure so the benefits to Barca in this don't appear to exist. This appears to be more of a bullying tactic with the threat that Frenkie is somehow implicated and could face penalties if their case is proven but considering his agent will have represented him and La Liga signed off on the deal their case looks insanely flimsy. If Barca actually try to push this and some of their fans are baying for them to do so they will not only lose but you would have to think that this would be the line in the sand for FIFPRO and UEFA to get involved and the consequences could be very ugly. I think it is just another tactic to get Frenkie to sign for 50K a week and offer his eternal thanks for the privilege of being allowed to stay which he is simply never going to do.

They really might keep Frenkie I am thinking, they really like him but would prefer to sell. At the same time they refuse to give in. Well they do, but they don't care about the future.
That's exactly what they are doing. They can’t just keep taking out loans
Not for or due to this. You think those players are panic buy. I guess the reason you think so is that you are not well informed on why, how, and what happened for those transfers.Jesus, and you called me foolish
Cavani was a panic buy, Ighalo was a panic buy, the recent Arnautovic pursuit is panic. Not for or due to this. You think those players are panic buy. I guess the reason you think so is that you are not well informed on why, how, and what happened for those transfers.
Eventually they run out of things to sell offThat's exactly what they are doing.
That's exactly what they are doing.
Think they have some way to go yet, they haven't sold 100% yet of most assets and if the investment banks are stupid enough, they will sell the assets for the next 25 - 40 years etc.Eventually they run out of things to sell off
Yep..I mean in a sustainable sense though.. it’s absolutely ludicrous
