Genuinely think a lot of the material around the club, particularly that produced by the journalists, is done to incite an emotional reaction.
Reporters can easily rock up to a SSN segment, with the barest bit of preparation, and simply refer to us as ‘shambolic’ or ‘incompetent’ or ‘directionless’ and they’ll get tonnes of retweets and social media interactions. That’s not to say we aren’t without reproach, but it is ridiculously easy to put zero journalistic integrity to a piece and still pull in big numbers, because it’s disparaging us. The substance of the article does not have to be meaty, it will be successful because it riles people up.
Part of the toxic culture of the club is how invested people get with their lazy, impotent, momentary anger when reporters say anything negative like this. The sooner we roll our eyes at these tidbits and move on, neglecting to give those who use this inflammatory style the attention they are seeking, the sooner it will die.
We talk so much about how little impact fans on the internet can have, however, we can impact that. Stop engaging with the deliberately inciting comments, stop fuelling the futile hate fire and let that part of our club’s circus die.

He is right but also wrong. Reason for failure is not solely down to the debt. It's also due to the fact of the owners absolute refusal to get qualified people in for the roles above the manager and make sure they all work together as a team.

I think there might be something more to this. We can't possibly have brought in a whole new raft of people who just make the exact same mistakes. I think to some extent, their hands are tied.

I have said it like 1400 pages ago, we should have never ever even try to get players from clubs like Barcelona. Just focus on getting the best possible from smaller clubs and that's it.
DeJong ain't nothing special, and unless he was for pretty much for free, that was absolutely unnecessary. I just hope our result on pitch improve, or ETH will have very hard year, and it's going to be hard to defend him. This is all on you.

I don't think that he is a decoy or an alternative. My guess is that Rabiot is a profile for the player supposed to play next to De Jong/Fred/Eriksen. At the moment we have McTominay and Van De Beek.

Completely wrong again. We have spent more than necessary in the past decade. If the glazers had bothered with the implementation of a football structure, recruitment etc we would be competing with City and Liverpool no problem. The only difference here if there was no debt would be that we would have more money to throw until something sticks which would be be unsustainable. Our midfield is not a gaping whole because the money was unavailable but rather because its been ignored for 4 years now. For me the glazers poor running of the club has to door with their lack of interest in the football side of things.
