I honestly don't know how some of you are still doing it. After yesterday, any appetite to see us gamble until the last day for him (when it is now painfully obvious 1 CM won't be enough anyway) should be dead and buried.

The potential for us to sign nobody is too risky.

Poor Frenkie will be holding T-Bag's pocket before long.

:lol::lol:

Can’t see Chelsea’s interest being all that credible after Tuchels comments. I wonder if the manager not really on board is harming their bid

It's been over for the past few months, mate. In fact, it has never been "on" as the player clearly does not want to join United.

Yet, all the deluded muppets keep on going in circles in this thread to the tune of rehashed media bullshit posted on Twitter every few days.
Quoted for reference.

Andy is very well informed, especially when it comes to Barcelona, and of course he is, IMO, one of the best United proper journalists (i.e. does not speculate, actually makes the effort to speak to people who actually know what is going on).

Ignore if you don't like his work, but please don't feel the need to tell me you don't like his work.

They pull one more lever and that 100m deficit gets resolved. Barca won't pull that until they know exactly how much transfer fee revenue they will make before the deadline. They want to see how much the players bring in before taking out that loan.
And every lever reduces income streams for years, decades.

It's reckless and based on them either winning lots or thinking they're immortal and there will always be someone/something to bail them out.

Andy is pretty great indeed.

We should be signing 2 CM this window and have plans in place for another 1 next summer at the very least.

Frenkie. Deal donio. Dealio. Frenkie dealio donedone. De Jong. Frenkie. FRENK. Muppet Train. TOOT TOOT. Still on. Toot. Manchester Red. Is Red. Man..... *cries*

That'll be like what a 90 million deal? And they are negotiating for that striker as well? Fecking obscene the money they will spunk this season. Feck ffp useless crap.
So Chelsea are ready to spunk £85m on Fofana, £97m on de Jong and STILL buy a striker??
Thats nearly £200m on two players right there, add in however much for a striker and however much they've already paid upto now for other players... £400m+ window? Hmmmm

Oh it’s absolutely reckless, but the most recklessness has already happened. If it means they have to pull one more lever to register the massive investment they’ve made this summer, they will absolutely do it without any hesitation.

They will take it right to the deadline to see how much they can recoup from transfer fees before then. But even if worst case scenario, FDJ stays on his current bloated wage they’ll still get them registered using another lever.

By pulling another lever they’ll increase their short term “revenue” figures which will increase their salary cap which is linked to revenues versus salaries.

I hate to say, trust me, but trust me they’ll get them all registered. It’s the one thing that is most certain in this whole mess. We are dealing with the biggest hoodwinkers in football.

£400m+ where did you get that from?

Incredible. Spanish radio claim Barcelona jointly set-up a holdings company to which it paid €150m of its own money to buy its own assets (to inflate value of sale). La Liga rejected it as not "new" money. Barça must now pay €37.5m tax on this payment. (per Collin Millar).
Love it. We all knew they were fiddling books and I’m glad La Liga isn’t accepting their BS just because of how big the club is.

This whole thing is an absolute fecking mess. Should’ve never got involved with Barcelona in the first place, a shambles of a club and we’re not much better.

I absolutely love that some Barcelona fans' reaction to Ornstein's article is "Well, I'm not believing any of it until our tier one sources are reporting it!"

You can be absolutely sure that the mouthpieces will deny any of this is going on and their fanbase will lap it up. This is one of the reasons I'd consider our journalists (Ducker, Mitten etc.) to be fantastic; they evidently acts as mouthpieces in the sense that the he receives the information he reports because somebody higher up wants him to. At the same time, though, they maintains a critical eye over this same management and it definitely adds to the credibility of their reporting.

Cucurella = £58m
Sterling = £50m
Koulibaly = £34m
Chukwuemeka = £16m

Fofana = £85m??
de Jong = £97m??

Striker???

Before a striker (if they get Fofana and de Jong+wages) thats £340m right there.

How much on a striker?

They can always sign Arnautovic for ~10m. Pretty please

They’ve been linked to walkers-peters/Dumphries plus some Italian midfielder too.,
Exactly, they have a lot to spend, but it's not unlimited amounts.

Fofana is pretty much nailed on, they want him and they'll get him.

de Jong is, in my opinion, unlikely. They'll want a striker first maybe two?

Tuchel said midfielder is not a priority. I think Orney just does not want to admit he got bad info on Chelsea's desire to go after de Jong.

Well maybe their owners are ambitious. Not every owner is penny pinching one.

So which is which? Because a better reporter is saying he's not made a decision and doesn't have a preference yet when Mitten is saying he'd prefer Chelsea
Mitten also said that Utd are still being assured a deal can be done

It's all well and good being ambitious, but when you have so many quality players and limited positions, you're going to struggle to keep them happy and it's going to go south very quickly
