How is it dilly-dallying if the issues lie between de Jong and Barcelona regarding his deferred wages? How exactly can we speed that along in any possible way?
We can't just turn round to Barca and say "Oi lads, hurry up, this is getting daft now". I don't think it works like that. Plus de Jong isn't going to just give up 17m is he? The club will stick with him until they either sign him, or it becomes absolutely crystal clear that he's not going to come, and we're not at that point yet
Well, in that case, we will have to wait and see out the transfer window, or the signing up of FDJ, whichever is sooner.We still have 3 weeks for the window. Plus, it's not like we've been dilly-dallying doing nothing.
We've agreed a fee with Barca. We're just awaiting a resolution between FdJ and Barca. In the meantime, we've signed other players, and looking to sign others. Wouldn't call that dilly-dallying.
