You are mistaken. The deal was agreed ages ago - we’re not still negotiating anything. We wait for Frenkie and Barca to sort themselves out.
Also dunno about last option, I’m not convinced of the chelsea links I think we’re his only option.

Why is it so hard for people to understand this?

Also, people keep talking about embarrassment? That term has only really come from our own fans. All the reputable media outlets have spoke about how we've done all we can and now is up to Barca and FdJ to sort their stuff out.

All these fans calling us embarrassing would be doing the same as United on this deal, if it were their own money.

Who looks at a Football club in the middle of transfer negotiations and think about how hard or soft they look? People are getting weird, extremely weird.

Or, the manager has been assured by his ex player that he will come here, as soon as the wage issue is resolved.
Doesn’t mean he’s hell bent, doesn’t mean he can’t find another player, just means he has his man, but knows it’s a waiting game. Just because fans like yourself piss your pants when a saga drags, doesn’t mean the manager and decision makers should piss there’s also.

And as for you calling two of the new players “back-ups”, well I call bullshit on at least one, and who knows, the left back looks superb so maybe it’s two. As for RW, it was our strongest position in pre-season, including the RB, amazing really considering it has completely taken over our left flank which has been our strongest for years.

1) Well if has assured his previous boss and really wanted to come here only after Barca sorts out wage issue, then we would not have gotten info from Orny or Ducker that Chelsea is also in pursuit and he prefers a Champions league club. Simply he would have gotten info like the Martinez case that Arsenal & Utd are both interested both he prefers Utd (which was the case and Arsenal backed out). Plus the least he could do is stop declaring his love for Barca every two seconds, he should shut up his gob like every other player does until negotiations are sorted.

2) We have no backups, Ronaldo wants to leave, Rashford, Martial & Sancho is our best hope, with matches every 3 days (world cup year) and Martial out injured, Rashford will probably start as ST and Sancho LW, who is our RW now? We need a RW, because Sancho prefers LW and so does Rashford.

Your first point is void. If he says I’ll come when I’m paid in public he loses his money. If he signals his intent to leave, Barca shut up shop and refuse to pay him or even negotiate as he publicly wants out.
Our fans think they know better than the board but most couldn’t negotiate there way out of a wet paper bag.

We always talk like the football world is doing everything opposite to us. You say every other club is ready with their shiny new toys. We are playing Brighton who have lost their two best players and have needed a number9 for two years now. Can anyone confirm if they have fixed these issues?

There is still plenty of time to sort out our window and I’m sure we will have 3 new players minimum before it closes. Chelsea are in the same position as us but they still get talked of in a positive light.

Our competition is not Brighton, so I don't care about them, Spurs and Arsenal have seriously improved their starting eleven, we needed to have a better window then them to secure a better chance of getting top 4, which we have not by now.

If we sign 3 players which will actually improve us, then I would be happy and content with the window, currently, two days before the season start we have a void as a striker and our CM is same as last season, we have also not signed a RB which was a weak position. Chelsea have signed Sterling, Brighton LB and Napoli CB, they need a Striker only. whereas we need 3 players.

I think 100% we’ll get Frenkie and if not, we’ll get someone else later in the window, and there’s every chance we employ a fluid 3 behind a striker in some games, in others we’ll use Rashford.

FDJ—— Fred
Sancho— Bruno—- Eriksen/Rashford

We likely bought our new attacking left back who doesn’t stop making forward runs, for the games in which we employ a true inside left.

Our striker situation has nothing to do with De Jong and everything to do with Ronaldo. It’s a completely separate issue.

There is absolutely no journalist who knows he would prefer a CL club, or London, in fact every single one of them states that it’s simply an opinion. My personal opinion is that our new manager would not be so stupid as to go this far with the transfer of an ex player without concrete assurances that we are his preferred destination once the wage issue is resolved.

Sancho doesn’t prefer left wing at all, you’ve completely fabricated that.

If Rashford plays up top in our first game, I’d simply stick Eriksen as inside left and play Malacia to keep the width.

I personally wouldn’t sign a right winger, Sancho has looked absolutely ace there.

Every top club need at least 5 established players for 3 positions with matches every 3 days, we currently have 3 (Rashford, Martial & Sancho), even if you count Ronaldo its 4 only. We need a RW or somebody who is comfortable playing in front 3 positions to provide us options. We can't go into the season praying none of our front three gets injured, that is poor planning (FYI Martial is already out).

19% "embarrassing". pfft. Has he signed for Chelsea? No. Has he given us the cold shoulder? No. Is it taking a while? Yes. How embarrassing! (clutches pearls, grabs quill and writes to "Points Of View" in protest)

I never said he should declare his love for us, just keep quiet until the transfer is sorted, there is no need to say. Keeping quiet will not hamper his negotiation position does it? But he has consistently publicly declared his love for Barca multiple times.

It's Barca that have come out of this looking just horrendous, not us, not yet anyway.

Only United fans (understandably) give a shit about this "moral victory" tbh, I don't think everyone else cares how Barcelona look. Clubs have shady transfer dealings all the time, it will be forgotten as soon as the season starts and they're playing well. It's not like they still won't remain a dream club for 99% of players.

The biggest question is who'll be the bigger loser between the two clubs if the transfer doesn't happen? It certainly won't be Barcelona (who while stalling this transfer) have had a good transfer window otherwise, while United wait on their "gave assurances to the manager" target to pan out, but have numerous glaring weaknesses in other areas that haven't been addressed with 26 days to go.

I'd say about 95% of those feeling "embarrassed" couldn't even point to Old Trafford from the Stretford Arndale.

hmm, if only we had a certain Danish attacking midfielder who has spent his career at right midifield, number 10 and inside left to make it 5 established players.

Neither the player nor his agent have said any such thing in public.
I think you are guilty of taking Twitter/tabloids as gospel when most of the noise around this transfer is merely opinion and conjecture.

He is a backup to Bruno or CM, We can't deploy Bruno or Eriksen as LW or RW, they don't have the pace to play those positions, it will be square pegs for round holes again.

Spurs and Arsenal are so far ahead of us in terms of squad quality that it's not even worth looking at them now. Our competition for the next 2-3 seasons is going to be exactly Brighton, West Ham, Wolves etc. I don't think even the most optimist fans would have us anywhere near top 4. I expect that the plan with ETH is to wait 3-4 years before we are challenging the big clubs, I cannot explain the lack of transfer activity any other way.

1) Its come out today that Boehly is prepared to spend £300m this summer, if a player see's that level of funding you automatically think they are a serious team and there only intent is to win.
.

Meh, we had a bloke telling the World we could do things in the transfer market others could only dream of, it means jack shit.

No one is looking at Chelsea’s scattergun summer, getting rejected left right and centre and thinking it looks amazing, like a team intent on winning.

I’m done with this transfer until Ducker announced we have switched all our attention to another midfielder and the chaos that ensues

Yes it most certainly is as they cannot register their ‘solid squad’ to play for them, have sold their clubs future short to sign those players and are in very real danger of ceasing to exist if things go badly on the pitch.

Please, Please, let it be last day of this saga and we can move on. Manchester United, and we don't have a CF or Defensive Midfielder for our first game of the new season. How have we let ourselves go to this.

Sure coach. Eriksen has played there plenty, but if you say so la’.

https://syndication.bleacherreport....ttenham-midfielder-christian-eriksen.amp.html

You don’t need pace to play inside left, you have the starting position and drift in field leaving the left flank to your left back, just as he did there at Spurs.

If we look at the other signings we might line up in addition to FDJ, I think paying FDJ the extra 17million as a loyalty fee with a clause that he has to return that money if he requests a transfer from us in future is possible way to go.

It's like Chelsea hired Woodward

Yes, continue telling yourself any of what you posted is actually likely to happen, as opposed to Barcelona continuing to shore up their squad as they enter the new season, while this transfer might fall through and United win the moral victory.

They are still 150m short of registration - this is a fact announced by LaLiga. They will have to pull a 4th lever selling off more family gold to resolve that. I know which club I’d rather be right now.

We do have a CF but he has a minor injury. And we have others who can score goals too. But am sure another forward will be recruited this window.

Looking at his latest IG of his training pics. Looks happy and seems to be happy where he is at the moment.
He might have been glum when off camera. It is understood (third hand) he was heard whimpering. Joking aside, I would be happy if I was him. There is no “bad” outcome for him.
