Its a free world and people are allowed to make choices. Let's move on to players that are ready to play for us, that way they will be ready to fight during the bad times.
Can someone point me to the source of all these claims that he doesnt want to come here?
And that's nót the same as him saying he is happy at barcelona and is looking forward to next season.
Why can't we move on from this transfer,no point in pursuing a player that seem disinterested to come.

Same feeling. I doubt ETH and FdJ let these people join their private conversation. And I doubt these Spanish sources speak Dutch. Is it me or does it feel like the Spanish media is pushing this news too much and giving a new story every other day??!!
Time to move on then.
Apparently Oriol Domenech covered the FDJ to Barca story in 2019 in a similar way(talking about phone call conversations and similar intricate details) and got everything spot on. It's why his news is being taken seriously on TwitterSame feeling. I doubt ETH and FdJ let these people join their private conversation. And I doubt these Spanish sources speak Dutch.
Likely just the drama like how Mbappe already signed pre contract with Real Madrid based on pure speculation. Only fact so far is that Barcelona has to find financial answer for new transfer, and what the way they put it FdJ is very much transferable.
Really sick of reading this over and over. Liverpool and Chelsea finished in the Champions League places by the skin of their teeth last season. Every top team in the league but City is a few key injuries away from struggling to make the top four. If Champions League is so important to him, he should join City or a league in which it's always guaranteed for the richest clubs.Worth it in my opinion, however Dominic is top Barca source and says he won't move to a non Champions League club
We have missed out on UCL too many times in the past 6 yearsReally sick of reading this over and over. Correct. There is absolutely no way we'd get to the stage of agreeing a fee with Barcelona without De Jong being interested

Considering Barca must sell players i could easily see this being two separate discussions. Barca don't give two stuffs about his opinion, i'd imagine Barca is lining up multiple offers/deals for players. The player will be told they are being sold, and then they will have to agree a deal with X club that meets their personal terms.
On the one hand, I want him if ETH wants him, but absolutely no reports/tweets in this thread have convinced me this is anything but another disaster in the making should ETH struggle. This screams that he may only join us because he has no better options and Barca are kicking him to the curb. That is not what we need coming out of this hell-season.

it's not that, why would waste time in such an important summer with a player that isn't interested? if he said no, no way, whether or not Barca need to sell or not is irrelevant, we'd move on. Whenever a deal is agreed with clubs it means the player has indicated he's interested in joining. Clubs sound out the player before making a deal with a club
So did Liverpool pre-Klopp and now that we have a manager that he knows, who knows him he should know that this is a temporary bleep. But I am not to fussed if he can't be convinced and am also glad that we have started this early so that we can move on early rather than spending the whole window chasing after him like Moyes did with Fabregas. We have missed out on UCL too many times in the past 6 years
They still couldnt sign top players until they were playing UCLSo did Liverpool pre-Klopp and now that we have a manager that he knows, who knows him he should know that this is a temporary bleep. If we do manage to get him it will be a great coup and will go a long way towards lifting the mood in the squad and he is also the type of player that will enable ETH to implement his style seamlessly and will also help improve our attack indirectly. So it is worth dedicating some time talking him into a move.
Liverpool signed Sadio Mane and Wijnaldum right in the 2016 summer when they missed out on the Champions League by losing in the Europa League final. And mind you, Sadio Mane had already agreed terms with Manchester United for a summer move. But then a Klopp's phone call changed everything. Mane then joined Liverpool and became a part of their attacking trio. (All of these came from Mane himself). They still couldnt sign top players until they were playing UCL
I'd be a bit baffled if we're trying to agree a fee without having a pretty much full agreement with the player. So I doubt that's the case.
Big 56 hours ahead by the looks of it. I think we'll be pretty clear of what way this is going by the end of this month.
