The most spineless player ever in my eyes. So you know that the club want to get rid of you so badly and you yourself are confessing that the club spread lies about you, maligned your character, told everyone that you are a greedy person who doesn’t care about the club and it’s fans and you also confessed that the club don’t owe that much money to you as been mentioned or lied by Barcelona. On top of that you knew in advance regarding your playing time that you won’t play that much this season YET you still want to stay at that cess pit of a club because you like the city and weather?

Stay away from this disease of a player. He stinks. He can’t stand up for himself yet people think he’s gonna be our saviour in midfield. People compare him to di maria. Di maria might be a snake but he has backbone of a Godzilla compared to this wimp.

Even if Barcelona drag him naked for a walk of shame like Cersie in the streets of Catalunya for not lowering his wages, he would still like to stay there because the the weather was nice whilst getting whipped and he would be going to the beach straight after the humiliation to enjoy the perks of living there.

Or you could look at the whole situation last summer and come to the conclusion he's got a massive set of balls on him. I mean the club publicly disrespected him and spent the whole summer trying to flog him and he stood his ground and said due one Barca, I'm going nowhere.

What is true is that he doesn't fit there very well, has been a disappointment in relation to his transfer fee and wages, and they don't need/want him there. Only reason they did was because they pulled another lever out of their asses to cover his obscene wages and let him stay for squad depth.

Yeah I guess he 'won' in the end which is great because I don't side with barca either, don't think anyone would except for barca fans

The things we read lately makes me not want him at all here at the club. Bellingham looks like much better character to me (but that might be just a feeling).

Still having said that, I do believe any of them would help our midfield.

I don't think he is a beta ****. I think he knows he is holding all the cards and is squeezing Barcelona for all their worth with disguised gleeful spite. Kudos if it that's the case. But I still sincerely hope we don't get involved with all of that again.

Xavi for whatever reason does not rate him that highly. Could it be that xavi is not playing him because the club want him out because of his wages (most deferred) and you can’t afford to pay it because you won’t get past the group stage?

last one - your comment on absurd wages is crazy because you offered them when signed, deferred for years andnow due. Blame the club, not the player.

I agree in this case he was actually an Alpha. He said eff no, I like this city, my partner likes it, I think I’m good enough to break into the team and you arsehats owe me a ton of money and I fully intend on collecting all of it.

Disagree on the last bit. I hope we get him, he would transform this team. He is my absolute dream signing.

Hopefully the end of this transfer. I’d rather someone who is looking to become world famous here. I keep coming back to the idea that Szobozlai could playmake for us for the next few years. I really think we need someone who can make the unexpected pass and quickly beat a man to turn defence into attack. He’s a baller and shouldn’t cost as much as FDJ.

I really don’t think we need FDJ half as much now that we have Casemiro playing deeper but I also think we saw over the weekend that our midfield is majorly missing craft once Eriksen is out. For someone so important he’s not exactly a long term solution either. I think now we need more creativity through the middle and possibly a backup DM who can also go box to box when we are attacking. As long as the players we bring in are press resistant we are going in the right direction

If we can crush Barcelona down on the transfer fee I’d still take De Jong with a big salary, but we have to address the striker problem above all else.

I actually respect that. But he shouldn’t complain when he spent most of his time sitting on Barca bench, that’s all down to his own choice really.

Because the Caf has that one word they use to describe a player and it hardly changes. Varane = Rolce Royce of defender, Martial Ice cold etc.

Not a fan at all of going for players who rejected us before. The guy can rot in Barcelona.
