I personally think if nadal somehow wins this match, he can actually go on a run against djokovic. This will help him mentally.

I don't because clay is the only surface I think he has the advantage on - and even then if Djokovic brings his top game he can beat him.

This reminds me of how nadal is vs federer. Oftentimes he will start slowly and federer will do well for the first two sets getting cheap points from mistakes etc. Then nadal seems to enter a mode in which he can just hit everything back twice as hard with hardly any unforced errors.

Yeah I think when it reaches a psychological level, the surface's influence decreases
I think he would've beaten him in the aussie open but he just wasn't mentally as strong. He really struggles against him. Forexample today he isn't playing his best tennis, trying to play safe. Well we can only speculate, anyway nadal win will actually be good for the rivalry.
Finally the rain break. Conditions have been poor for a while. Wonder what took them so long. Just because they want to finish the match tonight doesn't mean you play the match in rain.

We agree to disagree. I think Djokovic is the better player on every surface bar clay - and even that is going to be tested soon. If Djokovic is at his best, he is more often than not gonna win. Nadal is pretty one dimensional and as it's been said for ages, Djokovic isn't a good matchup for him.

Agree, Nadal will probably win this but if they meet at Wimbledon(which they will) Djokovic will beat him without question.

That's really all there is tbh, match-up and mentality. Nadal is better on clay and no matter what happens tomorrow, I don't think that's changing. Despite Wimbledon last year, I'd still give the edge to Nadal since last year was the first time Djokovic actually did anything of note on Grass and I'd say Djokovic is obviously the better player on Hard courts
Poor Nadal, according to the forecasts, the next time he'd get the kind of conditions he likes is Wednesday.
I honestly don't get it why the match was restarted in the 2nd set at all when it was quite obvious to everyone that it's still raining.
If Nadal goes on to lose this final I think it'll undo all the good work the end of the Aussie Open final and the two matches they've played since then have done. To lose from 2 sets to love and a break up in Paris will kill him.
I think Nadal will win it personally. That could help him win Wimbledon too as a big win over Djokovic in a grand slam final could be a massive confidence boost for him.
