Epic match this.
Sad for Djokovic as I like him a lot, but Federer is just amazing.

Interesting that is is Federer of all people who has stopped the Djokovian streak
I think Djokovic's game matches up with Nadal better than Federer's does. On the other hand Federer's game matches up better with Djokovic's than Nadal's does. It's how it works sometimes.
What a change of tune from you. He's the only one who could. He's the only one who would stick to his game and attack Djoko unlike the rest who're always on the defensive.
Great performance from Fed today. Now hopefully he rolls over in the final again
Absolutely. Djoko has become a superior version of Nadal who chases down everything and turns defense to attack brilliantly. Fed however attacks Djoko and he's the player who can play Djoko best.
It'll be interesting to see how Djoko reacts to this defeat now.
And just as it was Nadal who stopped Federer from getting this consecutive wins at Wimbledon, Federer will pull a surprise on Sunday to stop Rafa for just a year from break Borg's record.
Don't agree with that. One start to a season doesn't make him a 'better version'. It's just that his game is starting to match up well against Nadal. It happens sometimes. Nadal will take winning more grandslams than Djokovic over beating him in head to heads.
I don't think he will personally. Federer hates players that chase down everything and Nadal is the best at that.
Will hope he does though.
Yup. Sadly Djoko has gotten into Nadal's head now and Nadal just does not know how to play him.
ESPN.COM said:2001 Wimbledon: At 19 years old and in his Centre Court debut, Federer beat Pete Sampras in five sets, snapping the four-time defending champion's 31-match win streak at the All England Club.
2007 Hamburg: Federer ended Rafael Nadal's 81-match clay-court hot streak.
2011 French Open: Federer ended Novak Djokovic's 41-0 start to 2011 and 43-match overall winning streak.
Well a great display from Roger; the king ain't dead yet. I doubt he will beat Nadal but he should gain a lot of confidence from this which will stand him in good stead for Wimbledon where he may just be favourite again or at least joint favourite. I do think Roger has far more variety in his game but he has to have the confidence and exact timing to pull of some of his shots, but he tries for shots that no one else can do. Go Roger Go!!
rofl @ Fraudjokovic being in "Nadals head" after beating in a few masters that Nadal clearly doesn't care about as much as he used too, just like Federer stop bringing his A-game to them years ago.
Nadal is in Federers head.....and theres a bigger reason to that, Nadal probably doesn't really care about the masters losses.
Seriously man, get a grip. Novak is just a man in red hot form who has won a couple of games against Nadal. However, Nadal can still beat him on any given day especially clay. We are still talking about one of the top 2 clay courters of all time and probably one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
Roger against Nadal at Roland Garros is like United vs Barca in CL finals...it just isn't gonna happen for him
Punter 'Dead Cert Man' lost a £120,000 bet last night when tennis ace Roger Federer surprisingly beat Novak Djokovic.
The 33-year-old mystery gambler had won 26 bets in a row - with big-money wagers on hot favourites.
He had said his bet on Djokovic, who had won 43 matches consecutively, would be his last punt.
But Federer, one of the best players ever and former world No1, ended Dead Cert's dream with his four-set victory in the French Open semi-final. If Djokovic had won, Dead Cert's profits would have hit £227,000. But he is still £41,000 UP after not punting all his winnings.
He always used the same William Hill betting shop in central London and placed his first bet, of £8,400, nine weeks ago. Hills spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "Our anonymous customer has set two world records - the longest winning sequence of bets, and the highest amount gambled on a tennis match.
"But ultimately he went one game too far - rather like his hero Djokovic, who he backed a dozen times. However, he's hardly the Dead Loss Man because he has managed to win £41,000 from us.
"He told staff he hoped to win enough money to buy a house and was going to halt his current betting sequence whatever happened today."
The mystery gambler had also bet on boxing and cage-fighting.
