I am always happy when he has a good game. Such a positive player. I think, today suited him very well though, don't know why Spurs didn't stop their slow building from the back - must have realized that they were shaky.

Love the pastor. His shooting can be frustrating but we shouldn’t really rely on him for goals, he’s such a Gattuso like terrier bombing around.

Man of the match. He was absolutely everywhere and did everything, kept passing, intercepted their passes, did the press, at times it was like there are 2 Freds out there and was unlucky not to score from that nice shot in the 1st half but luckily he was lucky for the 2nd, deserved it.

What a show after that performance on Sunday. Love his tenacity, its crucial in our press.

Surprise surprise he's much better when he doesn't have Cristiano ahead of him. We dont control games without him but he's a player who needs quick movement around him or he can be very erratic. Almost like he needs to play without thinking.
I think this is true for Bruno aswell. It seems with time on the ball he will overthink it and hit a stupid ball into the box, but like his goal tonight, if it pops upto him randomly he will bend it into the far corner perfectly

Playing alongside McTominay, he had to watch himself and cover half the time because neither of them are very good with their positioning or reading of the game and if he pressed too much, there's a good chances he's leaving a big hole behind somewhere.

Now he can just be let free to run around like a lunatic because that space is being filled by one of the best DMs of his generation.

More Fred + Cas please.

Great game. Some of his passing was incredible today and played a big part in most of our attacking plays.

Can't help but love him when he's like this, still a handful of ridiculous moments thrown but an absolute ball of chaotic energy who just forces things to happen. He's great fun

MOTM by quite some distance. Many should hang their head in shame after their comments when he was named in the team.

It's also nice when you have a manager that can direct you exactly where he wants you to be pressing, and structure the team around it. Under Ole/Ralf he was a bit like a hunting dog that wasn't given direct orders. Now he can just be given a singular job off the ball, and he'll do it well enough that you take the lumps from his unpredictability on the ball for the most part.

Fairs fair, I criticise him plenty but he was brilliant tonight. Just a constant nuisance.

Go away man, MOTM, never stopped running, still can’t shoot, still missed a number of killer passes
Bruno dalot case martinez all ahead of him

He was immense today. So many times he forced Spurs in to a mistake allowing someone to make an interception or get a tackle in. There were some great passes and moments of play by him with a few standard Fred odd moments as well. He and Casemiro surely need to be the base of our midfield.

He just cannot come from a long bench time and suddenly play well, i guess. Needs some game time where he would be completely crap and then play a monstrous game.

Was everywhere.

Good today saw all the posistives in his game, the energy, the pressing, the running.

Still lacked composure in the final third but overall he was excellent.

Brilliant performance. Same role as last week, just was on it today. Clear that he's Eriksen's backup and McTominay is Casemiro's backup, but also great to see them all putting in great performances. The good type of competition. Was beginning to feel worried that Fred was just declining due to age and couldn't put in games like this anymore.

His best match for United so far.
Yes, I agree with that. At least I can't remember him having a better game. So happy for him after all the sticks he got after the Newcastle game.

This is why you never drop Fred after an abysmal performance. The correct time to bench him is now!

Never been a fan but that was superb tonight. The nutmeg he did, then the poor pass and then winning it back again was a great 30 seconds of action. His shooting is shocking though!

Needs to start aiming for defenders' legs like Frank Lampard on tonight's evidence.

Yep. Looked so much better tonight with Casemiro holding and Fred and Bruno playing more freely either side. Neither him or McT are players who naturally want to sit in a double pivot.

I think he'll be remembered very, very fondly when he does eventually leave United.
