Absolute mad-dogg performance. His aggression and world class ability to sniff out an opposition pass and turn it into a counter attack along with quick one touch passing is immense.

Right now he's unlucky after a great preseason not to be preferred, but perhaps a bit misjudged to be trusted as a no6, which he's not but as a no8 he's Brazilian international quality and extremely valuable player. I am sure his time will come and he plays himself into starting 11 at some point. He's too good not to be given proper chance by a smart manager like ETH. Season's long anyway.
 
An absolute pressing machine. Will press in odd situations where the opponents won't expect it.
 
This winger/midfield hybrid role suits him really well.

I love watching him run around like a terrier snapping at ankles then speeding off with the ball. I have to say he really helped us get control in the match.
 
He won't get the plaudits but he was absolutely superb when he came on. He gets a lot of stick, but when played in his favoured position as a box to box forward pressing CM, he's brilliant. Rather than a sitting DM which has never been his position and he should never have been played there.

If one of Bruno or Erikson get injured or are rested or even if we just want an extra man I. Midfield and on less attacking player against the better sides, Fred is the guy for me.
 
His hair reached it's peak coolness about two weeks ago. Needs to shorten a tiny bit now.

In less important news, he did alright at football today.
 
Box to box fred is the Fred to have. That's why Casefred works for Brazil. Casemiro entirely focused on being CDM and Fred running around like an annoying Mosquito everywhere and pressing. It would be really well complemented by someone like Eriksen as CAM which would mean Bruno benched. Would bring us midfield control during a game which we severely need. Bruno isn't a midfielder, he just loses possession going for a 1/10 Hollywood pass. He said as much himself in the post match interview
 
He needs to play more, we had no control in the 2nd half till he came on.

Our possession went from 20% to 45% with him on the pitch.
 
One of the fist things he did he cut their pass near their box and we had a chance from that, he was waiting for the pass to cut it like a bulldog. :D :drool:

Thats partly because we added an extra midfielder to the middle
 
He pressed well, run and tackle, as soon as the actual football came to be played, his level shows. This is a good role for him IMO, and should be used like this, to tighten and finish the game off.
 
Reckon we might see him as a sub sooner in games when our second halfs start like yesterday. Just to get some more bite in the middle and a higher press.

Should have had an assist to Ronaldo, wasnt a good pass nor a difficult one to execute.

He can play well, but he's inconsistent. Not accurate enough with his passing today.
 
Fred is one of those players who needs regular game time to perform at his best.

And his best is questionable at times.
 
Please. Just get him out of this club.

He should go back to U-18 and work on his basic passings.
 
Worst player on the pitch by a significant margin. Barely did anything right, if anything at all.
 
Shown us way McTominay starts ahead of him. A nothing player really. No outstanding qualities for PL level, and barely for EL level. Hope he can be a decent squad player.
 
Absolutely abysmal.

Was competing with Ronaldo all night who the worse player was.
 
His performance tonight is shocking. Can't control the ball, can't pass as well.
 
Astoundingly diabolical. Unless there is an injury crisis in midfield, I don't see him starting any serious game going forward. We would be wise not to activate the 1-year option on his contract. Needs to be let go.
