Not once did we have a sustained spell were we looked comfortable
I think if the ref gives a pen and VAR checks it they won’t overturn it yet if a ref says no VAR says no
Our match day thread is a complete joke at all times and I haven't read them for seasons. I'll go with what my eyes tell me ahead of that rubbish everyday.
We do struggle to dominate when we use the McFred combo which is why I'm not a fan of that against any but the absolute top teams, but for about 70 minutes today our midfield ran rings around them.
Think Fulham had multiple chances to score
Running rings around is a bit silly anyone that isn’t totally biased would say Fulham were in this game for 90 minutes
It was a nervous watch, and a good win
I’m starting to think you didn’t actually watch the game. There were only two periods where we didn’t look comfortable. First 15 minutes and last 15 minutes. Maybe another 5 minutes at the beginning of the second half. That’s 35 minutes. Out of 90. Fulham won their first corner late in the second half. How on earth do you think we managed >60% possession without a single sustained spell of looking comfortable?
He's basically Scrappy-Doo in human form. 
Might be down to Fulham allowing us to have it in certain areas, you’re a good enough poster to know that ? Same way that Liverpool had loads of possession but in areas we allowed them.

The only thing keeping Fulham remotely in the match was that our attackers were misfiring (and Bailly and AWB had a couple of shaky moments). It had nothing to do with our midfield except maybe the start and end periods of the match.
I still wouldn't want to play Fred-Pogba against top teams (although they were our best players against Sevilla last season), but I'm hoping that performance will see Ole play it more often against the lower teams.
This is exactly why I’ll watch the game back, it’s never as bad as this place makes out. Pure hyperbole most of the time.

It definitely wasn’t a comfortable win. Fulham have been a tough nut to crack this season. They beat Leicester and drew with Liverpool, Soton and Spurs. Plus we seem to be shit at closing games out. Last 10 minutes were agony. But we did dominate them for most of the game and there were long spells where we were very comfortable. They just felt a lot shorter than the short spells where we weren’t!
I'm not sure there's anything that could convince me more of the fact that we were comfortable in a game than the match thread saying we weren't!

A sloppy gk error and a brilliant goal won the game, just 1 Cavani chance and I think that’s absolutely it that I can remember.

In the current form, it’s becoming ridiculous that Chelsea prefers Kavertz and sent RLC out. Homegrown talents from their own academy are wasted there. CHO could be the next one.
His short- and mid-range passing is very very good. His line breaking pass is as good as anyone. It’s due to people’s bias which had been formed long time ago in those terrible team performances. Well, for some, time could change their opinion, and the others might never.

Remember that free kick he gave away in front of box on left? He genuinely went for a 50-50 body check with RLC. RLC has a much more mass. After the collision, Fred was wiped away to the sky. It matches very well the momentum conservation in physics.

Fred’s killer pass catalyzed the first goal and it’s something the coaches have probably encouraged him to do. Fred having an unbelievable season and we would still be in the cl if he hadn’t been suspended.
Whether he has good or bad game, his work rate is unreal. Jose said ManUtd lack mad dogs in the squad, Fred is that player. Relentless when out of possession, he way he won the ball near the corner with 2 v 1 was amazing. He never gives up.

When we signed him, it’s the World Cup year and he was in the Brazil team camp. The first news I heard was he twisted his ankle in training. I then asked my Brazilian colleague about Fred cause I never heard him before. He showed me a cartoon animation which has Neymar holding own leg, rolling all over the pitch, crying like baby. My colleague told me Fred is definitely not like Neymar.
He’s probably my favourite player these days. So unorthodox but effective. He’s winning balls he has no right to in nearly every game. We need that to hopefully unlock the attacking talent at the club. Balls to the wall workrate. He’s a pressing machine and a solid passer through the lanes on the turn with both feet and he’s been available to play a lot. He’s one of the first names on the team sheet. Money well spent.

Definitely one of mine, just love watching him Fredding the opposition. So busy and for a little guy he puts himself about physically and his passing is nowhere near as bad as lots of people make out.
I thought he was very good, the only flaw he had yesterday was that he got dribble past by and struggled in strength to strength with Loftus Cheek which not an easy opponent to deal with since he is very strong, physically like Pogba and can dribble.

Love the fight and energy he brings. He wins the ball back so many times up the pitch,and never seems to tire.

He was given big praise by Robbie Earle after the game which was nice to hear, given he hardly gets the plaudits for his relentless running and work off the ball to help us turn it over.

Brilliant v Fulham. He was everywhere and considering he was the only defensive minded player in midfield even more impressive. He must be so frustrating to play against. Like a Terrier constantly snapping at your heels.
Totally agree, Pogba has done some decent defensive work but in terms of covering. He´s covering for him, for Shaw at one minute and then you can see him hard pressing a player on the otherside of the pitch which resulted in our first goal. He absolutely deserves credit for that but noone seems to mention that, because obviously for some people only assists and goals count. Also if he lost the ball as much as Bruno he would be crucified.
Another great performance which would go unnoticed.

I don´t understand this stupid logic mentioning his inconsistent passing over and over again. He´s one of our best passers, the highest pass completion of all midfielders and he´s not an exactly safe passer either. He plays a lot in between the lines and when you count the amount time on the ball he spends, he really is brilliant. Meaning look at how quickly he gets the ball under controll and keeps it moving while not exactly passing sideways and backwards. He´s like a metronom who keeps it moving fast which is something we lack so much in many games, taking an extra touch passing too slow with Matic or McTominay and perhaps with Pogba as well but we can allow the big man to have an extra touch since his vision and ability to execute any kind of pass anywhere on the pitch is absolute key to open defenses at certain points of the game
And imagine having someone as wasteful as Bruno infront of him and keeping the midfield together. He would get crucified for that pass in the middle of the park around 75th minute which went straight to Fulham player who started a dangerous counter...
Completely disagree but been discussed to death yesterday.
They scored early which allowed them to get men behind the ball giving you this false sense of control.
When we went in front they started coming out and created some great chances.

His work rate is huge for us. Yes, he has some rough edges but an important player, no doubt. Love to see him win the ball back for us, kicking at the oppo‘s ankles until he’s got the ball. I celebrated him winning back possession for us near the end.
