Football Manager Wonderkids who never were...

Pfft. Cherno Samba. 3 words:

Tommy. Svindal. Larsen.
He was epic.

A few other worthy mentions that I haven't seen here yet is Kennedy Bakircioglu, the Swede from Brommapojkane (who had quite a few exceptional talents at one point, I think a local researched might have been a bit biased) and the Watford pair Paul Robinson (epic left back, slotted in at any team from the get go) and Gifton Noel Williams (scored tons from the age of 18, and became all time top scorer at United for me several times).

Also, before he went to Blackburn in real life, Morten Gamst Pedersen was quite a steal from Tromsø. One of my friends was the local researcher, and a good few of their players had a tiny bit too much potential, although it wasn't that far off in the case of Gamst.

Edit: How could I forget Andri Sigþórsson?! What a legend.

That Russian goalkeeper. Might not have been a wonderkid. Igor something.

Freddy Adu

Christ I've forgotten half of them.

Oh my god Bojan is literally at Stoke City
Akinfeev? Still very good goalkeeper. Not the 180PA+ that's for sure :D

Im playing the FM 2014 handheld and the best player by far is that Ferreyra lad who just joined Newcastle on loan. 87 goals in 2 seasons for me
(ac milan) I remember a striker from Iceland way back in the early CM days that was unstoppable. Did anyone ever do the old marking the keeper trick in CM/FM?

Ahh great shout. Watford had a couple of good strikers back then.

Jairo Fernando Castillo
Alan Tate!!
Ganso? Or is he still young enough to get his big break.
Keirrison

Yep he was hames before he was popular. My star player in my 2015 United team along with Nicolas Milan.

A lot of the Swedes were over-rated and under-priced in the CM3 series - Bakiricioglu, Selakovic, Lunden, Andersson, Mild, Lucic, Kallstrom. Peter Prospar was one of the stars of CM3, I think they got his age wrong by about 15 years.

Remember Daniel Braathen being amazing at some point, was always a must buy. Back in 06 or something like that..

Jan Kristiansen was pretty beasty in 03/04 too, but probably not really on equal level.

Andri Sigporsson  back in the champ manager days. True legend, better than Zidane, Rivaldo the lot.

Bit harsh to say Akinfeev never made it. Granted he's not yet hit the levels FM predicted but he's already Russian captain.

Aye and there was a keeper too; Hugo Pinheiro (SP).

Nah, To Madeira is the only time they've made one up entirely. They vowed never to do it again, too.

He even appeared in those articles you often find that list the top 10 young talents in the World too iirc

Pinheiro was in the same CM as Madeira. Always assumed he was made-up too. Used to become one of the best keepers in the game.

Paul Ifil
Jonas Lunden
Julias Agahowa

Levan Kenia currently a Free Agent after beeing released from Fortuna Dusseldorf. Great talent on FM, 23 years old now tho'.

Macheda. He was banging them in for me for fun in my QPR save. We're talking, 30 goals between January and march stats.

Evandro Roncatto, a goal machine :)

don't really remember what version FM that was - 2007, probably. I only remember that every time i started the game playing Bayern, Real insisted to buy my hapless amateur attacker Borut Semler for obscene ammounts of money

funny about Cardenas, had him in my FM team, too
