Gaming Football Manager 2015

Insane first season at Valencia. I am basically playing with their standard team plus Kranevetter at defensive midfield. I got Kishna, Jonathas and Fischer but they play bit part roles, loaned Shaw and Rekik and intend to use them as back ups.

24 games into the league season and I got 24 wins, 50 goals scored, 7 goals conceded. Real Madrid are second by 18 points with two games in hand so they can still beat me to it but I doubt it. 14 games to go, 9 wins will definitely win me the league. How is it even possible that we have been doing so well, lots of 1-0s there but still? It's like I cannot lose (or draw). Some games I'd score in 94th minute. Admittedly though I dominate 90% games from 1st to last minute.

Could you post your tactics?
It's basic 433 to be fair. Kranevetter at DM, Gomes as advanced playmaker at CM, Enzo Perez at box to box, Feghouli and Piatti on wings and Negredo up front. Mustafi and Otamendi have played in all games. Goya and Barragan at full backs. Depending on the opposition I often change roles and players, Rodrigo comes on for Negredo, Parejo for Perez, I use two DMs etc. It has won me plenty of points. Having virtually all my players fit all the time helps massively.

Android FM is much simpler to be fair. Fun to play but there is no deep complexity to it which means less difficulty.

Walked the league with Barrow in my first Season, finishing 21 points ahead of second. Got to the quarters of the fa trophy and was awarded biggest overachiever for reaching the FA cup 4th round.

Second season with Stoke after securing a comfortable 13th place finish after being utterly decimated by injuries. Most of the second half of the season I had 4 players on the bench, two of which were keepers.

Messed up in the winter window, sold Diouf for 13M and my replacement failed his permit so I ended up without a main striker

Shipped out Shawcross (12M), Diouf (13M), N'Zonzi (7.5M) plus my 15M budget I brought in Winter 14/Summer 15:

Berahino - 21.5M
Obertan - 500K
Will Hughes - 8M
Wolschield - 2.3M
Lingard - 1.8M
Sansone - 2.8M
Tomkins - 4.5M
Jenkinson - 2.8M
Cleverley - Free
Kranevitter (sp?) - 4.5M

Does anyone have a good 4-3-3 set up for United? I'm using the tactic but keep losing.

26 games won, my 27th at Bernabeu and I think 'Yes, this is where I finally lose'. I take the lead early but Negredo comes off injured and he had been key these past few weeks... Rodrigo comes on and scored immediately, then adds another one late on. I win 3-0 at Bernabeu taking me to 27 straight league wins. Now with the same amount of games played I'm 20 points ahead of Real Madrid, 28 ahead of Atletico and 37 ahead of Barcelona (who cannot catch me despite there still being 11 games to play). I am going to win the league, definitely, and at this point I am really thinking whether I might win all league games. 100 points is almost nailed on too.

Shame I won't be able to keep Negredo next season. I don't have £25m to spend on him and I cannot afford to pay him £100k a week, my financial situation is quite poor unfortunately so I don't expect many reinforcements in the Summer. Alcacer will come back from loan and jump straight into the squad, I want an experienced center half to cover for Mustafi and Otamendi and maybe 1-2 more players but I cannot see more than £15m net spend to be allowed.

Not much of an issue against Cordoba, 1-0 at home after a very good performance (shots read 18-0), comfortable victory. Then away to Levante, plenty of domination but they managed to equalize after early goal from Negredo and when it looked like it was going to be a draw Parejo scored a long distance goal in 88th minute and Rodrigo added another in stoppage time.

29-0-0. 63-9.

EDIT: Scrapped a 2-1 home win against Getafe. 30 wins, 8 games to go. I will drop points soon, I can feel it. I've been tremendously lucky in the last few games. I have Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico and Sevilla out of the way though... Villarreal away will be tough, as will be Espanyol away in my next game, Athletic away could be tricky too. I might struggle at home eventually too. 22 points over Real Madrid with 8 games to go means I'm probably going to win the league though.

EDIT: Yes, finally done. 2-2 at Espanyol, I was 2-0 up after 30 minutes and completely and utterly battered them but conceded two late goals so this is where my run ends. It was good while it lasted. 30 fecking wins in a row!

Ended my first season with 35 wins and 3 draws, zero defeats. Title won with 108 points and my board allowed me £75m to spend which I have promptly used on Laporte (£15m), Coleman (£17m), Geis (£9m), Morata (£28m) and Rulli (free) and bumping up contracts for my top players. Cartabia and De Paul have come back from loans, I have sold Ruiz, Araujo, Fuego, Vezo and a few others to cut my team to a reasonable size (two players per position to keep good morale). I don't think I needed Morata that much since Alcacer, Jonathas and Rodrigo have looked good but I lost Negredo so I decided to go all out for a top class forward. I think I will have to sell one of them soon and I really don't want to. Fischer has replaced Piatti in my first team, Kishna is not ready yet. Laporte competes with Mustafi, they're both great but between 3 center halves it's a long, long season so all will play. Likewise Geis and Kranevitter, they will both get plenty of games.

Great campaign in CL so far, not so well in the league where I already have two defeats (to Real Madrid and Barcelona admittedly) and a draw as well as 5 wins. I don't think I'll defend the league as I fully expect Real Madrid and Barcelona to get around 100 points and I won't be able to repeat the same form with CL to play in. I think I want to win Champions League more anyway, in the league I just need a decent campaign.

I like the fact that I have a reasonably small squad. Less to worry about when it comes to player morale, they all seem content with their roles aside from forwards who seldom play. I have very few sellable assets in this team, I don't think anyone is worth more than £20m which makes it even more amazing how far this team has gone.

Just a heads up - this morning the FM Classic mode was released on tablets - works awesome on my iPad Air !

Would well recommend it - I'm even getting a few sneaky games in whilst at meetings today...

Going to give the 'Old Lady' a go, never managed them properly before.

Not really looking very good in my second season at Valencia but I was never going to repeat my achievements from the first one. 3rd place was always the target here and I'm on course for that. Dortmund in Last 16 of Champions League will be a big task but I can do it.

Sold Piatti for £6m and Rodrigo for £9.5m because I didn't want to keep them on the bench. It was enough to sign Witsel (£15m) and Xhaka (£8m) to improve midfield. Kishna has gone on loan again this time to Leverkusen, hopefully he will come back ready to play first team football - likewise Alcacer who has gone to Benfica. I want him to be my second choice next season behind Morata and Jonathas will be sold (he can fetch me £8m easily).

I have two incredible full backs in Gaya and Coleman so I might try tactics that uses them both. 3-5-2 would actually be fine and I'm willing to test that at some point when I am certain of CL and no longer competing for the title. Or maybe I'll do it before Champions League so it might be ready in place for Dortmund.

This will be my starting 11 for the season:

GK - Buffon
LB - Evra
CB - Chiellini
CB - Bonucci
RB - Lichtensteiner
CM - Pogba
CM - Vidal
LAM - Asamoah
CAM - Tevez
RAM - Ben Arfa
ST - Llorente

Bench: Caceres, Ogbonna, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pereyra, Coman, Morata.

Not had a lot of money to spend so brought in Ben Arfa on a free, had a few attempts at bringing in others such as Ganso, Rotariu but no luck so will stick with my base for this season. Hopefully pick up a few good free's in the summer and then wade through all the youth coming back from loans.

I currently play a 4-3-3 as well and the formation is really good in FM15 at least in the current patch. I have a slightly different setup than you though but it also works with lower league teams quite well.

My game seems a bit easy, first 3 results of the season.

Empoli (A) 1-7
Fiorentina (H) - 5-1
Chelsea (A) - 1-4

Could you post your tactics?

Hey Joemo I found that in this years FM isn't really that good if you use tactics that work for someone else. They might neither fit your players nor the stature of your club. As a top dog you need to approach games differently than as a underdog. But if you post some details about your team and the squad you currently have I'll look if I can help you figure out a working 4-3-3.

Sick of normal FM, going back to FMC.

Back to my beautiful PSV team. Going to stay here until my favourite regen retires and then move to somewhere like Russia etc.

I'll probably never leave because someone else always comes along :(

Something a little strange...

I've won 6 league titles and 9 cup titles in my time with PSV(there are more below these):

wmWA0c5.png

but the hall of fame only recognises one or two of them...

GKqXqni.png

Might be cause I played offline sometimes, other than that I have no idea!

I'm finding my formations I used in the last patch are totally useless on the latest patch.

I just use 4-4-2 all the time now. Adjust individual player roles and the team's playing style accordingly depending on the opposition, but 4-4-2 just never seems to fail for me. It's fecking ace.

I've played 8/9 seasons at PSV without changing a single thing about my formation/tactics.

Won 7/9 titles an loads of other cups.

Finished 4th in my second season and got to a CL quarterfinal. I'd say this is a good season for Valencia but the board clearly don't seem to think so and they think I should be doing better - despie the fact that I won the league for them completely against the odds.

I bought Carvajal, Smalling, Tielemans and Ljajic so far before my second season. Sold some players (Parejo, Jonathas) and want to sell some more because I want to rebuild the team a bit. I don't think Witsel fits my idea here, I'll give him half a season more but I can see him leaving in January. Xhaka is good though.

I got Atletico in CL qualifying round which is complete nonsense since 1) we're from the same country, 2) we should both be seeded.

fecking United just sacked me 3 months into my contract haha. I took over after leaving Utrect and was told I need to fix my media handling skills. Had an 18 year old complain about not playing so I said he could go on loan. He didn't want to so I told him he can rot in the reserves.

He goes to the media and complains so I tell the media that I'm the boss and I'm happy with how I dealt with it. Woody calls me in and asks why I shouldn't be sacked for breaking my promise about the media. I told him if he sacks me he better be ready for a unhappy squad cause they all love me and bang sacked haha.

Prob should have said something different but thought it was a funny thing to say lol

I just scored the most bizarre goal. In my derby vs Acrington, their goalkeeper catches the ball, roles it down to his feet, my forward pressures him. Their goalkeeper tries to boot the ball up the pitch, but it rebounds of my striker, then off the post and into the net. :wenger:

Game finished 1-0.

I've decided that Valencia became a bit boring and I could do with a change but I wanted to do this on the same career save. Cordoba offered me a job, they are struggling massively, have no good players aside from Ekeng and Luiz Adriano but they have €5m available and there are shitloads of cool players out of contract. I intend to pack them with older players on free plus some younger strugglers from better clubs. They want me to keep the team in La Liga for now but I intend to take them to Europe within 3 years. I'm a title-winning manager at the end of the day. Shit thing is I cannot sign anyone until January because I've taken over in the middle of October so I will have to do with the dross I have now until then. I inted to squeeze as much as possible out of them though and by January I hope to be relatively safe in the league.

Great, first 3 games at Cordoba are 3 wins, 2 of them away from home and pretty convincing wins - 5-1 at Getafe, 3-0 at Osasuna. I've pulled them up from relegation zone to 11th and it looks like I could get them to the top half in my first season. I've secured some incredible signings for January too - Dani Alves, Dante, Carrick, Boyata will all join. They're all very old but should have 1-2 years left in which case they're probably going to be worth it.

Finally caved in and ordered a copy. should get in 4-5 days

Tell me something guys, how do I update to the latest patch before starting a save? I'm buying it off an online retailer so it wont be the most updated version.

Should update automatically with steam.

Amazed by my spell at Cordoba so far. Got some random defensive midfielder from Sociedad whose name I cannot spell for £750k, Nocerino, Dante, Sidnei, Dani Alves and now Young and Barnetta for free but only Dante, Alves and Nocerino plus the unknown guy play regularly so far. They were 4-1-7 before I joined, now we are 13-4-7 - yep, I have won 9 games and drawn 2 (both almost wins too) and I am completely safe with 43 points. Currently 7th in the league, two points behind 5th and 4 behind 4th. It won't last forever but 60 points will give me top half and 70 would send me to European competition - with 42 to play for it is possible.

I'm mallorca manage, somehow managed to get them EL football after predicted mistake finish. In November 2018, my board have give me £9.5m towards transfers when I had nothing. So I bough Barkley off Le arse for £3m rising to £5.5m, he's still only 24.

So after 14 games I have won 12 drawn 1 and lost 1. Got into the third round of the German cup where I now have to play Bayern. That's gonna be fun.

I think it's the end for me in the cup but I'll give my best against the Bavairan giants. Well I can already start getting used to playing teams like this as I think our promotion is almost a certainty at this point.

In all fairness.....I've pretty much played 8/9 years of FM without changing much. 4231 forever <3

Experimenting now and then, but nothing comes close to 4231 godliness on FM.

I lost my first game at Cordoba at Rayo Vallecano, it was bound to happen sooner or later but after 26 games we find ourselves in 7th place, mere 4 points behind 4th placed team and just a point behind 6th which secures Europa League football. I really don't want to get ahead of myself because it's ultimately still only Cordoba with a poor squad and no money but if I could take them into Europe in my first season, having taken over a struggling and dismantled side after 12 games played it will have been my greatest achievement in FM in ages.

The decision to move to Cordoba from Valencia was a great one. I feel much more motivated here and it looks like I could really take this team somewhere.

Picked up a genuinely transfer listed Morata for 1.7m after the first season on my current save. Absolute steal. Did spend 20m on Rulli though, must have started on an older patch, I'm just a bit slow with my games..
