Barely any decent ones for this game I find, used to be loads knocking about for FM11/12 but most just look shite now, only one I use is the default dark one or one called Nuu.
 
I've re-signed Dzeko for £4m. The fans are loving it. Currently second in the Bundesliga and it's the winter break but I'm way behind Bayern.
 
Decided to rest some of my first choice players for my next fixture, as they were tired. Threw some youth in, for some reason paying no mind to what fixture it was.

Real Madrid in the CL. :nervous: Luckily, my 17 year old CB stepped up, scored an early goal and was an iron wall the rest of the game, holding off Ronaldo, Bale Benzema, Chicharito and Isco. 1-0 win. :drool:
 
I'm having real trouble dealing with corners. Conceding every second game from 1 and sometimes more. One game I went 3-0 down in the first half, all corners! :mad:
 
So, I'm thinking about 5-3-2 for my southampton side, an attacking yet possession based style. Its the only formation I will use with 3 centrehalfs, just wondering, is it better with defensive wingers or with wing backs.

Got high hopes from this team. Only juve and Napoli are providing serious competition in serie A. Beat Barcelona in both games in the CL group stages.
 
Also, is it more is the contract system fecked since they updated it. Everyone wants to be a key player, the lowest is rotation. I tried get Ospina as a back up keeper, the fecker wanted to be a key player and payed 60 odd grand a week! Also can someone, PLEASE give me advice on whether I should use wing backs or defensive wingers in a 5 3 2 formation.
 
Is he one those giant CBs who have insane strength, jumping and heading? I usually put these ones to challenge keeper in corners with a food inswinging corner towards the 6 yard box. Score for fun.
 
My prized possession. Having another fantastic season. Plays almost every minute and is absolutely insanely consistent. Those stats are even more impressive if you consider that I still deploy a very strict defensive strategy which doesn't allow these poor players to get many attacks going, and also the fact that a lot of the chances he creates go begging because all my strikers are hit and miss. I am going to struggle to hold on to him, he has already asked me to allow him to leave, and I made a couple of promises which I can't fulfill.

That's what my 17 year old CB is. 6'4" with 17 tackling, 16 jumping, 17 strength, 17 heading, 17 agility. Beast.

Yep that is what I am doing right now. There was a point, few years back when the Challenge keeper bordered on cheating.

I remember doing it with Fiorentina in FM 2009, and Gamberini, the CB, ended up as second highest scorer with a pretty massive tally for a CB. :lol:

My teams scored so many goals via near post headers in FM13 that I felt like it was cheating the game. I'm pretty sure there was a bug in there somewhere. My CBs were one of my team's top scorers.

Team, players, planned approach? What's the plan here? Wingbacks are usually better, Defensive Wingers are almost always too aggressive.

Hazard's agent(above) wants 57k a week(would be my top earner), I can only offer 46, and don't particularly want to give him that. Agent is going to cost him his place in my team, though he'll be hard to replace in first team quality for the next season or two. Could try and convert Stanciu, and have Ravel as first choice AMC......
 
Luke Shaw(at 21) is available for 10-15m. Be kinda rune not to, no?

Would he be too old to convert to a full time left mid? His low mental stats worry me a tad too. Unless I sell Pereira, IIRC some Italian club is sniffing....
 
Whats the most you've ever received for a player? Just got a 70M bid for one of my players, but 54 of it is over 36 months. I rejected it, but any sort of offer that is higher, I reckon it'll be hard to keep rejecting them, particularly with my lack of CL football at the moment.


Also, the fixtures in this are so annoying. I started the season playing all of Arsenal, Chelsea, United, Liverpool, Everton and City in the first 9/10 games, then I played all the rest of the teams, now I have the same set of teams in the next 7 PL games. So annoying cause its can take away any momentum you have.

What the actual feck is wrong with this game. Its pre season, and there hasn't been a single competitive match, because its late June/early July. After my last training camp game, Lovren wants to speak to me because he wants to leave because we failed to get into the Europa league. What the feck, firstly that was my objective for the season COMING UP. We haven't qualified because the fecking season hasn't started. What the feck, so I checked my league position and its fifteen, bear in mind no one has any points becasue the bloody season hasn't started. I just couldn't believe the game would do such a fecking idiotic thing...fecking hell.
 
Won my CL group with 11 points, Real Madrid came in 2nd with 10 points.

Hazard put in a transfer request. Can get 12m, if I'm happy with 9.5m over 48 months, I'd prefer cash now to land a replacement, and Shaw, though.
 
Got St. pauli promoted in the second season with my man Rzat! winning the player of the season. Going to Real Betis now if they accept me and will take my best players with me as well.

Record bid I had so far was Real Madrid offering me 88M € for my 20 year old star striker. Not going to sell him though.

I won the scudetto in my first season. Balotelli is amazing — he is the best player on the team by a lot and he basically won me the scudetto. 29 goals and 6 assists in 33 matches. We made the semi-finals of the Champions League before being destroyed by Barcelona. Lost in the first round of the Coppa Italia to Sassuolo.

It is crazy how Juventus conceded only 13 goals the entire season. I have never seen that before.

Bought Berrardi from Juve/Sassuolo for 1.5 and 1.6 millions (he was owned 50/50). I was in competition with 18 other clubs, including the likes of Everton so I just gave him higher salary than he wanted himself.

And it's a hell of a bargain! He has 3 goals in 3 appearances in Euro Cup and 12 goals and 3 assists in 10 starts in the league. The kid is just 20, ffs!
 
Berardi is one of the best all round strikers in the game. You can bring him in to do practically any role.

He's also perfectly good in the AMR slot, better than strikers usually are.
