Gaming Football Manager 2014

I know it makes classic faster, but I would love some player interaction.

Its quite useful. Specially when it comes to contract negotiations as I make them sack their agents every time

Also helps cheer up or give a confidence boost to players when required.

Ha! Your man's [unh] icon disappeared in late October. He accepted a new contract, 16k a week, which makes him my 2nd best earner. Now, normally I'd be appalled at this kind of deal, but, I have ridiculous control now. 5 years, and at any point I can activate a clause to extend his contract for another three. He'll grow to at least an acceptable squad player in the Bundesliga(at the moment marked as potentially leading). 5 or 6 years down the line, I'm sure 16k will be pretty cheap for a squaddie.

Also, I'm just after putting a bid in to extend Benyassi's loan for all of next season too, with a 7.75m buying option. Hopefully that end season will be in the Bundesliga.

For some odd reason Norwich are great in my game. Sitting in 5th but only 4 points behind myself in 2nd place. They're also in the QF of the EL (As am i and United).

As i am typing i had a look at their squad and Van Wolfswinkel is hitting 20 goals a season, he's almost on 30 in this one. Hm...

Norwich ain't bad at all, great save to play. Van Wolfswinkel is a decent striker in game. Had him on 20-25 in the first season.

Benassi rejected my loan extension, ass. Back to the bench you go....

Just bought it today, bloody hell it's addictive, haven't stopped playing it for 8 hours

I have no life.....

It's addictiveness is summed up by the fact I've tried to start about 6 games in the last 2 weeks without getting one going that I don't find frustrating, and yet I keep on trying.

Edit: I also just lied about how many games I've tried starting, the true sign of an addict.

Just had an intense game. Went down 1-0 in the first half, equalized in the 56th, took the lead 1-2 in the 85th, they equalized 2-2 in the 89th minute, only for Frahn to Michael Owen/City his third of the game. 95th minute winner. 2-3

Just battered Dortmund 3-0 to follow up the 1-0 win over Bayern .

Dont get along very well with Klopp so its extra sweet.

Nice.

feckers at Bayern literally throwing money around in Jan to get back on top .

37mil on a 21yr old striker at Benfica. He's absolute top drawer too :(

Do any of you guy's play the online version of the game with friends?.

I am playing a save with my friend who's Chelsea, and i'm Utd. Its great fun challenging each other, makes the game a much better experience IMO.

Dortmund giving them a fight 35mil bid. Ha. I'd rather Dortmund got him, can only play one of him and Lukaku anyways.

I could be a cnut and make an offer too just to ensure they dont get him either but wont

Okay so i'm looking to start up a new campaign,
usually I play as Dortmund and aim for world domination or a lower league team like Burnley and aim for a complete club turn around in revenue/stadium/sponsorships etc

This time I kinda wanna dabble in building up my managerial profile - starting off relatively unknown and working my way up to eventually getting a top job at United/Madrid/Barca etc

I'm not sure where to start though, I might try the Brazilian league and make my way to Europe

Moyes has done some absolutely ridiculous signings in my current game.

Finished 4th first season. Second season he sold Januzaj to Real Madrid and is now under fire for being in 15th place after 15 games.

Just started a new game with Villarreal, Mata is the World Player of the Year 2013 and his average rating in the league is 8.13
Ronaldo still won Ballon d'Or though

I started in the Greek league when I did that, won the league with Panathinaikos, got the Levante job and now I'm throwing cash around ignoring the FFP at Monaco.

You can start with the likes of Kidderminster if you want to be a true Brit manager

I've just made the error of downloading the SI workshop file for the Gibraltar league system, and started a game in charge of the team predicted to finish last in the second tier. Literally the only player is a keeper.

Right, signed all the regens they fill the squad with on amateur contracts. Now I need to sort some tactics out. Got them working on team cohesion and defensive movement at the moment and looking to play something like this:

------------------GK
DR----------DC-------DC----------DL
------------DM-------DM
-----------------MC
AMR------------------------------AML
-----------------ST

I want them to be hard to beat, so for player roles I was thinking this:

GK - Goalkeeper - Defend
DR - Full Back - Automatic
DCR - Limited Defender - Cover
DCL - Limited Defender - Defend
DL - Full Back - Automatic
DMR - Anchor Man - Defend
DML - Deep Lying Playmaker - Defend
MC - Box to Box - Support
AMR - Inside Forward - Attack
AML - Defensive Winger - Support
ST - Target Man - Attack

Defensive mentality and Rigid fluidity, with the shouts being:

More Direct Passing
Clear Ball to Flanks
Hit Early Crosses
Exploit the Flanks
Higher Tempo
Be More Disciplined

Thoughts?

I think you need to click on "add players to palyable teams" or something like that when you start a game with such a league. Even though it's a bit strange that they would add such a league without adding any real players.

This is actually getting a bit hilarious now. It just keeps adding a selection of players to the reserves for me to sign on amateur contracts, so I keep signing them. Now got a reserve squad of 68 players.
