Gaming Football Manager 2010

Why is it all the keepers that play V United have a good game , some keeper's you just cant put one past them.
Given is one in 2 matches ,I had 25 shots on target and he save every fecking one ,his rating was 8.4 and 9.0.
Does anybody else have lots of goal disallowed for off side really fecks me off

Hey boys, I'm sure this has been dealt with somewhere else in the thread but I have only just got the game and I need to ask something. I am conceding late goals in every fecking game. I can be 1, 2 up but I have drawn about 5 or 7 on the bounce now to injury time goals. It's doing my head it - is this a normal thing? Is there a way to deal with it? cheers

Oh yeahhhh

Deep defensive line, quick tempo, less closing-down, play narrower, don't concede silly free-kicks, defensive midfielders, throw fitter players on in the latter stages of games, ...

ahh i have the same problem. im nottingham forest , and managed to get into premiership in my first season. but i conceded a lot of goals , mainly form distance. my assistant manager says all the time that there is a too big gap between defence and midfield and i cant fix it. anyone has any idea how to change it ?

Bought this lad for £1.5 million from Oxford at the start of the season...

benb.png

He's scored 18 in 28 PL games (22 in 32 overall) and is favourite to win footballer of the year. A good piece of business if I may say so myself. His mate, Mark Mason (also a £1.5 mil buy from Oxford) is wanted by Liverpool, but is pissed off that i turned the bid down :(

That's an incredible regen.

How the hell did he stay at Oxford into his 20's?

put a defensive anchor in there between midfield and defence, I picked up a guy called anthony obodai in my second season at newcastle, and the coaches reckoned he was better than barton

So I turned things around after christmas with Stalybridge and went on a 14 match unbeaten run pretty much down to Matty Ritchie's return in the AM role after injury where he kept firing late winners from 30yards! Snuck into the playoffs where I faced Bradford, who I had an excellent record against. Came out of it with a 3-1 win over 2 legs which took me into the final against Southampton who'd battered me home and away during the season so I wasn't confident despite having a full squad available. Here is the result

^^^ 6-6

That must be the greatest play off match ever! Amazing stuff.

I need a sharpish reply, Madrid just bid £40m for Vidic and am in the second season. Take or leave? I could get Sakho for around 22£ and already have 10m in the transfer kit.

I'd take £40 million personally. Fans will hate you, mind.

Just played Barca in a pre-season friendly...

Granted, they were playing a weakened team, but it still including Messi, Alves, Toure and Marquez.

I had Vidic set to move to Madrid in my game anyway, I bought Walter Samuel to replace him and so far he's been awesome. Although obviously getting on a bit, will need replacing.

Meh, he ended up rejecting the contract and they also offered 32m for Evra which i accepted and the cnut rejected thier contract and both stated their determination to stay put and i ended up offering them both 71k on a 3 year extension. Oh well..

im swansea city in my second season, i thought i made some nice signings in season 1, and soem good loan deals.
finished 15, losing to rubbish teams, drawing all the time.
wonde rhow i didnt get sacked

coming into season 2, bought some awsome players and still sitting 10th! after 30 games

quite a young team but it seems very good all rounded.
their moral seems very low and alot of the players arent happy and thinks im under achieving..
any help ?
this is my first proper game on football manager 2010 dont know any of the wonderkids and dont know how to work the tactics effectively

This is pissing me off, madrid are after all of my players and they just bid 44m for Gourcuff. They need to double that if they want him

I started my 2014-15 season with an audacious new 3-2-3-2 formation... two def minds and three attacking mids... gave me a lot of joy after christmas, but only enough to get me through the season with a weak title challenge... Next season they maintained their form, scored the most, conceded the least, Agüero leading the top assist, average rating and goals charts. League and CL, League and FA Cup the next season... In November of current season, narrowly leading the EPL and looking a wee bit found out by now, so we'll see how it goes.

Have some fantastic regens, too... A certain Connor Fitzpatrick poached off Arse for 3 mill when he was 16 is currently bossing my def mid and the English one, at age 23. World class.

CL winning squad.

I sold off some of the deadweight afterwards and bolstered the squad with the signings of Park Ji-Sung, Gabriel Milito, Diego Benaglio, Nené, Aaron Hunt, Artem Milevskyi, Joshua King & Matteo Darmian.

Ah, what a nice ending to my season.

Final round, *** over liverpool. They're away at Bolton, which they won 1-0 in the end. We've got Chelsea at home. Rooney gets sent off in the 6th minute. Ashley Cole somehow manages to score an own goal. van der Sar having a blinder and in the end Cole ends his misrable day with two consecutive fouls and yellow cards inside a minute. Happy days.

Fabio got a call for the Brazilian World Cup team. Made his debut as a starter in the final against the Czechs. Ended 0:0, Fabio missed his penalty, but the old guard delivered the glory in the end.

Anyone who needs a quality DM/Ball Winning Midfielder/Anchor Man at the start of their game should have a look at Anthony Annan - a beast at 2.5 million.

Patch is out next month.

Happy Valentines Day perhaps?

Hopefully, though i've beat the system it seems, start Rooney and Aguero at ST and then move them into AMC positions a few minutes in after some shots on goal... They get momentum and them move into a position where most of their shots are from afar.

It's worked well, the old 4-6-0:

------------------------------------- ("ST" position empty)
Jovetic---Rooney---Aguero---Valencia (Valencia and Jovetics energy helps, forward runs rare)
------------------------------------- ("CM" and "ML/MR" positions empty)
---------Asamoah-Carrick------------ (2 "DM", one for playmaking, one for holding)

When I want to play more attacking, 4-3-3:

----------------Aguero--------------- (Drops deep and runs with ball often, lots of assists)
Rooney-------------------------Young (Awesome energy, Rooney bags goals from the top and on rebounds)
-----------Anderson-Fletcher--------- (Box-to-box, both have goal threat now, 17 between)
---------------Asamoah-------------- (Hold)

It's been hard but I've combatted the bug, and i'm undefeated as the FA Cup starts, 5 points above City, Arsenal and Chelsea are 24 and 17 points behind respectively.

Feckin ell, This season has been my first premiership title challenge with St Albans and it's a close one but City are just gods in this game. Managed to turn em over 3-2 at home but unfortunately lost to Spurs the next game which undone all that good work. Villa look like they've thrown away their chance so it's up to me now!

That's inspired me to start a lower league club.

I will probably start in the conference south, who should I be?

Blyth Spartans because any team with the name Spartans in it needs to be at the top level.

I managed to get into the Premiership by my 10th season. I think the main factor is just playing the transfer market sensibly. The AI doesn't have the greatest knack for spotting players so if just look around for hidden gems you can shoot up the lower leagues quite quickly. But you gotta make sure not to let your wage budget go to high, bringing in revenue to increase your transfer budget is essential to moving up the leagues. Once you start getting losses on a monthly basis your fecked.

Right, this is actually crazy. 14 games in to the season and I'm top  plus I just beat Liverpool to make the CC semis. I knew the team I'd essembled was good enough for a mid table finish (as predicted by the media) and I though I might have been able to nick a European place, but this is unbelievable. I dont for one second think I will be able to sustain this form and actually put in a title challange, but still to be top with Birmingham after just 3 seasons, and just £16 million net spend is surpassing even my wildest expectations.

You finally found a decent tactic then Sam?

Who have you brought into your squad?

Regarding the tactics I seem to have totally fluked it  To cut a long story short, I now let my assistent deal with the games as he seems to be a tactical genius and wins games that I would draw/lose, which is very strange as he seems to be using the same tactics I was struggling with earlier on  Dont know if its a bug or if my Assistents just a genius!

Fecking board won't give me 1.5 million to bring Gael Kakuta to FC Basel.. that'd be a feckin coup. And it's not like I spend like crazy - I've sold more than I've spent in my three years there! We're kinda rolling around in profit too. Bah.

Llajic

I'm on my third season and he's looking pretty average

Other people seem to think he turns out the bollocks in this, but it doesn't seem to cut it in my game

Is there anything I should do with him ie training, positioning?

There's nothing you can do, apparently it's all a punt... Just play him and play him often and hope he develops... Same with Macheda and Welbeck (Who was cack once I joined United, Fergie never played him or sent him on loan... Real bought him for 7.5 )

He's third choice for me, second only if Ashley Young starts on the left.

Ljalic for me started well in the first season, but he is not improved so much during the last 2 years

I suggest Badstuber as a centre half, Jonny Evans at 25 y/o is becoming a world class

2012/13

Adler

Azplicueta Evans Chiellini Cissokho

Valencia Fletcher Toure Vuckcevic

Macheda Rooney

-----------------------------------

Isaksson/Blanco

Paulao Badstuber Cabrera Fabio

P.Leon Rodwell Alaba/M.Diarra Kolarov/Ljalic

Yakubu Welbeck

I spent since the 2009 for the defensive departements, over than 150 million probably, but i have sold as well:

Ferdinand (31 y/o, 30 million to Atletico Madrid)
Vidic (30 y/o, 27 million to Milan)
Kjaer (23 y/o, 24 million to Tottnham)
Evra (31 y/o, 20 million to Bayern)
Brown (33 y/o, 6 million to Aston Villa)
Foster (30 y/o, 9 million to Sunderland)

Now I have completed the gk and defensive packets, i will not sign anyone for the next 6-7 years, only some youngster

I will spend all my next budgets for a world class striker, left/right wings, a creative central midfielder

Oh Ffs my assistent manager has decided to join Hull as a coach :wenger:

This game really is quite retarded at times!
