finally got promoted with swansea.
sitting 5th in the prem agter 7 games, losing to chelsea and city in the last 2, hopefully things dont go downhill from here.

I sacked Phelan as Assistant Manager because he kept getting things wrong. I promoted McClair who seems to have done a far better job


A year down the line I call a backroom meeting and McClair suggests I appoint Phelan (who hasn't found a job yet) as a run-of-the-mill coach. I offered him a far lower contract and he accepted!
 
I've won my first cup, the League Cup, in a thrilling 4-2 victory over Spurs.

I'm up by 10 pts in the league, about to move to the quarters of the CL, and im out of the FA Cup

Rooney and Vidic have been hurt, I sold off a bunch of players in January for financial reasons but that hasn't come back to bite me... Macheda has returned from loan and he and Aguero have been a good pairing.

Could see this coming a mile off at half time, Valdes was having the game of his career and saved everything we threw at him (Including about 4 one on ones), and we were dealing them pretty comfortably in defence. Then they get one chance in extra time and score it. feckers :mad:

Game took the piss afterward and gave us one last chance after they scored in injury time, one on one with Valdes, and Benzema tried to lob him from about 25 yards out and put it hideously wide
 
Crikey's. Just had a game where Rooney scored 5 goals. He only got a 9.9 rating though - the poor fella.
 
Just beat Liverpool in the CL Final in season 2.

Struggling in the league though, still not managing to win it. I beat the big teams but lose/draw against the poorer ones.
 
Just thought I'd share this with you guys. Started a game up with Everton. Sold Saha, whilst Yakubu, Vaughan, and Anichebe stayed injured for most of the first half of the season.

Bought Juan Roman Riquelme for £3.8M and played him as an attacking midfielder behind Cahill in a 4-4-1-1 formation. These were the results!

I signed Riquelme on free transfer after my first season with United.

His skills were fantastic, but he failed miserably.

Ribery has become an absolutely fantastic signing as it is for me who has notched up 4 Assists and 3 goals and playing superbly in the first nine games from his favoured position which is AML. I decided to just give him a game on the right wing and he did diouf scoring 4 goals. :D My best signing, well actually Gourcuff is atleast on par with Ribery. Gourcuff is the best player in this game Assists and scores 20 a season each.

Since this update, i've cruised and gone undefeated which is all but a league title and a CL final.

I toppled Chelsea in the CL Quarters 4-1 aggregate and Lyon 2-1 AET in the semis to get Barca, who beat Fergie in his last career match a year earlier 2-0 in the final... Essentially, i'm trying to beat Barca in a CL final, Uniteds third try.

I did it all without Rooney, who I lost to the good old broken foot... But Felix Kroos, Stevan Jovetic and Kiko Macheda have cleaned up the slack partnering Aguero.

It came at a cost though, i'll lose first choice Anderson (7.22) and Vidic (7.41) in the final to yellows, and Rooneys match fitness might be in question.

In the League, i'm first with 3 matches to go, 8 points up on Chelsea... City just lost out on any mathematical way to win the league with a piss poor draw against my lovely Notts County... Sadly they're on their way back down to the championship, but i'm scooping up Smithies from there for 3.5 Million to backup Adler.

I ended up selling him at a 10 mil loss , he started to unsettle the rest of the team complaining about the way I spoke to them during and after a game.
Did not to too badly with out him , won the PL ,CL ,FA Cup and World Club Champs and the Super Cup.
 
feck, been offered the United job, but really dont know whether to take it. On the one hand, its United. But then again, it'd be nice to see how far I can take Birmingham. Hmmm.

Jesus, all my Regens want to move to bigger clubs. Its so bloody frustrating, i manage to sort one out and give him a massive contract, then another one requests a transfer.
 
Rooney's been sensational for me, absoultely astonishing the last 7 games. Check out his average rating for the last five games! He is certainly emulating what he's doing in real life atm.

This is brilliant, I go and make Ben Barker captain, the whole squad is happy with the appointment, Barker himself is delighted. A week later he decides he feels he's achieved all he can at the club and wants to leave. feck OFF!

Thats the 5th! player in this pre-season thats wanted to leave. I mean ffs it just takes the piss really, its not like we're battling for relagation, we bloody finished 4th last season! Load of wank! feck you SI!
 
Yeah I just started managing Torino. We've been in cracking for the first couple of months of the season, so far undefeated. Dimitar Makriev has been my star player, scoring 9 in 8. Doesn't even wait until January to hand in his transfer request though :mad: Needs to move to a bigger club. What a cnut.

Since this point, i've started the next season:

I won the Champions League 1-0 over Barca, with Aguero scoring in the 26th off a Rooney assist... I was up against it, both Ashley Young and Jovetic got hurt before halftime, so I bunched up the midfield with Rooney wide for the last 30 off minutes and it worked to a tee. Messi was missing for Barca which proved vital what with Ibrahimovic well out of form (0 goals in 578 minues)

The day before the final, I was offered Igor Akinfeev from Lazio for 10 million... pennies given he's cheaper than Adler, but I figured i'd accept and let Adler do the talking in the final... He made 9 saves in the match and had a 8.3 MR, MotM, and essentially "saved" hus job :lol:

My transfer work wasn't too shabby, the squad needed a shake-up. and I got a bit younger:

(The goal is to use this depth to my advantage and mould my first teamers... There's alot of seniority in the CM position, Bit by bit the likes of Carrick, Gonzalez and Fletcher will be too old to be first team regulars, so there's good players waiting in the wings... The thing is, these players can fit in with multiple positions so match fitness won't be lacking.

(Jovetic and Young can play ST, Anderson, T.Kroos and Afonso can play off the striker... I also have a 15 year old regen named Kirk Heron, who has finishing 18, pace 17 and heading 16, plus lots of other attributes, the kid is goign to be a gem)

Got Stalybridge up to the Premiership, my reward? The board cancelled my training and youth facilities upgrade due to lack of funds :rolleyes:. They have agreed to expand the stadium though...by about 100 seats meaning I'll be playing in a 6500 seater stadium in the Prem. The board are actually spastics.

Nobody wants to sign for me either, I've got a few youngsters in but they're not really ready and I need a whole new defence one of my centre backs was signed when I was in the conference north!

Sounds pretty much standard FM. It doesn't matter how well you do, you're only ever as "big" a club as when you started the game.
 
Having a game as real to appease my inner muppet, going into el Classico in January 4 points clear but the might of my world class central midfield that's available is fernando gago and sergio ramos, looks like I'll need to rough them up abit to have a hope in he'll, either that or like first game of the season nick some on the break.
