Neuer, Adler, Lloris, Akinfeev, Ustari, Carrizo, Asenjo... there are a few good options for goalies, its normally one of my first buys when playing as united.

Mandanda is fantastic and cheaper than lloris, hence me getting him, he's actually overtaken lloris as France number one after his great start with me, the fans said I overpaid at first now they rate him as my best signing
Berba hasn't scored in a loooong time, but he is creating often so I'm standing by him, especially when I start jovetic and Anderson, goals galore when the four of them play.
I put Bebra as Poacher (yeah i know hilarious) but he actually scores a lot. Rooney complete forward and Berba poacher

Opposite for me, berba complete and Rooney poacher, Rooney walks through every defence put in front of him.
Typical berba scores his first goal in 700 minutes an gets injured doing it
Well you have Kiko, who's a bit too good in this game
I replaced him with jovetic and proceeded to lose for the first time in the league to villa, a game in which, you guessed it Rooney an substitute Owen got injured, I'm relying on jovetic, Kiko and John feckig fleck now!
Relying on Owen and Rooney to stay fit is the biggest mistake anyone can make.
Time to sign Dzeko
So I'll just randomly jump into this thread. First season with United, signed Eden Hazard and Sami Khedira. Both have been great.
Also, since Berba and Owen (shockingly) have been injured a lot, Diouf really stepped up for me. He has 9 goals in 10 appearances now. Macheda has 4. Good lads.

kiko macheda is quite frankly a god in this game.

This is why I don't enjoy this game that much. No matter how average a striker he's going to score a lot of goals.
Can I load a saved Demo game onto the fully patched full version?
Yup you can continue it into the full game.
You cant move to a medium or large database though. You'll continue to play with the small database of the demo
How does everyone play Macheda?
I play him as target man when I have to play him.
No matter what you play him as he won't stop scoring
Leave him in the reserves until I read he was a goal machine for everyone else. Should I just be playing him right from the start? I was treating him as 5th choice.
So am I but injuries mean that he keeps getting games for me.
I'm currently playing a game with Werder Bremen but after the first season I noticed the German national team is all blanked out. Is this a licensing issue? Anyway, I have some emerging stars and I want them to get some caps, is there any way I could import a file into the game now to fix this or would I need to start a new game?
Unfortunately this doesn't fix currently-saved games - it only affects new games.
Remove the files fake.lnc and nleague.lnc in these folders:
Steam:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2010\data\db\1000\lnc\all\
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2010\data\updates\update-1030\db\1030\lnc\all\
Non-Steam:

It will enable the German national team as well as some J-League features (proper names). If Oliver Kahn is in the database (can't remember if he is now) he will have his proper name too.

Just once in the CL, I want one of the real minnows in my group. I mean, I've got PSG, Feyenoord and Sporting CP, which I can clearly win, but I want someone like Stromgodset IF.
That pisses me off too, I haven't had a good draw in any version of Football Manager since forever. Amongst the worst was when I drew the Spanish champions, the German champions (and UEFA Cup winners) and one of the tougher Ukrainian sides...

and there were a couple of bad bad draws.
Quarters every draw is incredibly hard and a big game match this time except for Porto Chelsea.

i just dont get the appeal of this game.
I've played it, and after about 3 months of gametime it just repeats itself.
pre match conferences are all the same, the games i feel i have no real input into the score... i just win every time, even if i arse around and play defenders up front.
there is no variation in it, and the players - so you buy all these different players.... theyre still little blobs arent they?
i love strategy games... i can play sim city all day, but this is so dull...

FM 2007 was the best. The most absorbing and obsessive game I've played.
