Not abandoned just on hiatus lets say.

I did not actually plan to have this go this long but the first season took longer than I anticipated.

Think of it like the break in between Game of Thrones seasons ;)

Hopefully not as long as the break in between Game of Throne books though :)

Lol, awesome. See you in April 2018.

never watched Game of Thrones.

I think I'm in the 1% of the world who hasn't seen it.

Seems the percentages for people that haven't seem game of thrones are much higher amongst drafters. Weird bunch

I grew up on a shit-arse council estate that was so bad the local bobbies stopped coming around and 10-15 years ago, the riot police were called in.

My nephew tells me Game of Thrones is loads of violence and groups trying to wrestle top dog title off each other.

Don't need to watch that.... grew up in it. :)

Seems to me this has gone the same way as the last FM I played: needs so much work that by the end of Season 1 you are bored senseless.

Is that it @oneniltothearsenal ?

Not bored so much as I underestimated the ongoing time commitment. I did put Summertime in the title as I thought the draft would go quicker and I would sim and post quicker. My fault for underestimating and thinking I could get through 5-8 seasons by mid-September.

For Simon and BeforeKeane,

I haven't actually simmed further than my last update yet. Things got busy for me. Starting to die down now a little. I will definitely post more updates at some point but I don't want to commit to a date at this point and then disappoint. So hiatus seemed the best label ;)

 that was rather optimistic yeah.

I'd suggest you don't really bother much with the individual matches. The best content is when you do that summary with table and team/player stats. Just let the seasons run and shoot a couple of those per season with a team summary for each at season end (so we can see who is playing, doing well, etc.). Otherwise it will take you forever.

Yeah, this is fine @oneniltothearsenal

This.

I wouldn't mind more of the same over longer periods of time. Ultimately up to onenil though.

I think an update every three months would be ideal. Just a summary of results for each side, snapshot of table and brief commentary on what everyone is saying about each side. 3 updates per season - or if that is too much, 2 a season.

Season structure

1. Summary of transfer activity (done in this one)

2. League XI/Odds screen before start

3. Sometime in November: summary screen with table, team and player stats. Not sure there's a way to see several fixtires/matchdays in one for reference? Report on how the teams in Europe fared (group rivals, progress or not, which big European sides are shaping up as contenders, nothing major).

4. Repeat early March before run in and advanced knockout stages

5. Repeat end of season

6. Full team stats for the season (the one listing players, appearances, goals, assists, ratings), err, x20

7. Player awards (are there any?) and transfer rumours.

While playing you will pick up games that could be pivotal to the title race or shock results, maybe post those? but no need to sit around watching entire games of dots moving around.

For anyone who has forgotten. It should come as no surprise that @Tuppet starts as the preseason favorite. He was the favorite last season and while @Skizzo @Joga Bonito bonito flirted with overthrowing O Rei @Tuppet, it didn’t happen.

Sadly the youngsters at @BeforeKeanetherewasRobson and @Šjor Bepo are both 1000-1 shots but Remember Leicester City. Never Forget!

Red Star Belgrade are the current Champions League holders but the four Redcafe sides should be able to install a new Champion this season.

Atletico Nacional are the current Copa Libertadore holders. Led by Rene Higuita, Andres Escobar and re-incarnated Pablo Escobar’s cocaine cash, Atletico Nacional might one day face off against our Redcafe heroes.

Copa Libertadores

It looks like my Corinthians experiment is not faring well in the Copa. No Corinthians present. Gabriel Jesus, Jose Velasquez, Rinaldo Martino, Ademir da Guia and Victor Aristizabal are top performers.

Champions League + EURO Cup

As expected the Redcafe teams are dominating.

Redcafe Table OCT31

Gio is the early leader. Tuppet is struggling to regain his league winning form. Antohan and RedTiger Enigma struggle to keep up with European fixtures.

It's back!!!

I'm glad to see our team be just 1 point behind last season's champions. We're making progress!

I've got no idea what my squad is

I've got no idea what my squad is
Me neither

All I can tell is the only player of mine featuring is Carlo Parola... after Cruyff sold him for a packet of crisps.

And I top the pass completion table.

FFS, such a non-anto side. Sack Cruyff now.

A disappointing 8th right now after 2nd last year. But a game in hand on most. Topping CL group with 100% record, so delighted with that.
