FM 2011 Network Game

Okay, me and Solius managed to get this working.

What you have to do is:

Download Hamachi.

Connect to the network name Solius will send you in a PM, using the password he provides - in Hamachi

Load up FM, click Join network game, and join using the IP he gave you.

That IP should be the same IP that shows up next to him on the Hamachi window, then you're off.

Create a new manager, select your team and remember to give yourself a password.
 
Who can come on tonight? Should we wait til all 6 are free to give us a fair chance in the transfer market?
 
Ok I'll leave this on for now and whoever can come on tonight, just add your manager, sort out your tactics, transfer targets etc... but DON'T push continue. Tonight seems we can't all play so just add yourself. We'll sort of when to start it properly afterwards, unless we can all play tonight.
 
My Stoke are gunna make the real Stoke look like Arsenal.
 
Starting the game

Ok I'm going to save it and quit for now because I want to download some shows and having the game running at the same time will be terrible.

PM me, or post in here when you want to set up your team and I will load it up.

Once all 6 teams have their managers we can sort out a time/date where we can all start at once.

I'm setting up the Hamachi/joiny business now.

Edit: Right, I'm on the caf thing on Hamachi, so I've got that bit right. Trying to paste the IP address in the PM just leads to a "Error: unable to connect to server" message. I've tried pasting in the IP from the Hamachi window too (by right-clicking and then going to "copy address"), but that gives the same message.
 
Signed into Hamachi, and then went to join a network game with the address provided, but it said 'could not join network game :(
 
I'm in. My tactics will now find themselves very much set up.

I'm at college from 5-9pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I imagine I'll have plenty of time after that to sort stuff out.

I'm thinking we should start tonight even if all 6 aren't here now because otherwise it'll drag on in terms of getting started, once it's running we only need 3 at a time

Not gone past the first day yet, waiting for everyone else really.
 
Good little session. We're up to about 28th August.

Christian Benitez - 2.2m

A couple more deals potentially happening. Jørgensen is looking a superb buy at 2m for a CB. Haven't actually won a Prem game yet, 2 draws (Arsenal then Fulham away) and a loss.

Oh and Ben Arfa out for 4 months, brilliant.

Results:

Lost 1-2 to Sunderland. Most bullshit game. Had like 10 1on1s but Carew is bloody useless, then Faye got sent off 5 minutes after bringing him on - got a 5 game ban for a horror tackle on someone.

Lost 4-0 to Chelsea away. Torres had a steamer, scored two of the goals of the season in the first half.

Beat Exeter 4-1, Jones was starting to turn on the magic... finally.

Then drew 1-1 with WBA. Again, Carew in useless 1on1 shocker.

Good session though, can't wait to carry on!

Had a bid for Heskey turned down, and drew WBA in the League Cup 4th Round. That's all I can remember, haven't really kept an eye open.

Oh, there's the 2-1 victory over Stoke too. Sw33t is very understandably upset about that one, as the last 20 minutes were all Stoke, then in the 96th minute (of what should have been 93), Malbranque popped up the other end and scored.

And you may have someone out for quite a while because of a horror tackle from Faye first game of the season. Can't remember if he got taken off injured or not, but due to the fact Faye got an extra 2 match ban... probably not good.
 
You team were taken over and became crippled with debt, had to sell all your star players and then your manager shot himself.
