The alright "V", B-Boy cypher cat
Yeah, good call. Superb portrayal by Hopkins, in that film anyway. I also enjoyed Brian Cox's version in the OG Red Dragon too.

Yeah, as himself he was scary but when he was Leland, that was just as scary. Reminds me, it must be about time for a TP rewatch.Bob from Twin Peaks
Another of my all time favourite films. Just perfect. The Thing from The Thing (the original). Could be anyone, could be your dog ffs, basically no way to stop it spreading, and you know it hurts because of the fact you can hear the scream of each of its past victims in its own scream.
Edit: ffs just noticed the deal with it shades. CBA change it
In my opinion the greatest horror film ever made.Another of my all time favourite films. Just perfect.
Tbh I’m surprised it took for so long on here. Truly terrifying monster.Dude, well done, I wondered when someone would post this
The Carpenter one you mean I assume rather than the original? The Thing from The Thing (the original). Could be anyone, could be your dog ffs, basically no way to stop it spreading, and you know it hurts because of the fact you can hear the scream of each of its past victims in its own scream.
Yes sorry. Although isn’t that other (50s) one called “the thing from another world” ?The Carpenter one you mean I assume rather than the original?
Absolutely, NOES 1, 2 and 3 were totally the horrors of my teenage years. Great character and great films ... back then, they've dated a bit now. Still, old Freddy Kruger was a brilliant character.Freddy Krueger because of the whole dream thing.
one of British cinemas best ever characters.
Begbie from Trainspotting. He's mental
I remember watching this round my mates on VHS when I was a kid and I remember the tension i felt during the blood test scene. Genius screenplay and Carpenter fecking nailed it.In my opinion the greatest horror film ever made.
Lynch is the master at making things seem so slightly 'askew' they become terrifying.Since Lynch has been mentioned, got to add in
They were funny though, they may have killed you but it'd be a riot while it happened.
We watched it this Christmas just gone, I still love that film. There's a real purity and innocence about it and if released today, it would be little more than a straight to TV B Movie. You're correct, I re-watched the movie a few years but as a child they were absolutely monstrous. I used to have nightmares about the things!
Hereditary.What's this? I'm drawing a blank.
Yes, it is. If you love the film, it's based on a fairly lengthy short story called, from memory, "Who Goes There".Yes sorry. Although isn’t that other (50s) one called “the thing from another world” ?

Indeed, read that a few years ago when I first found out about it!Yes, it is. If you love the film, it's based on a fairly lengthy short story called, from memory, "Who Goes There".
Agreed. It's one of the three pillars of our christmas viewing. Die Hard (yes it is), Gremlins and Planes Trains and Automobiles. In fact, John Candy / Del Griffiths was the Anti-Alien.It's a crime it doesn't get mentioned more often in discussions about the best Christmas movies. It's second behind Die Hard for me.
Krampus and Rare Exports!! Great Christmas viewing! And Home Alone for the kids in the morning of course...Agreed. It's one of the three pillars of our christmas viewing. Die Hard (yes it is), Gremlins and Planes Trains and Automobiles. In fact, John Candy / Del Griffiths was the Anti-Alien.
Never heard of either, after a quick Google, I'll stick them on the festive viewing list this yearKrampus and Rare Exports!! Great Christmas viewing! And Home Alone for the kids in the morning of course...
Yep! One of the scariest films I've ever seen. The OG btw, not the soulless and unnecessary remakethe Grudge.
