I usually avoid the actual rating needed and go for a couple of really high rated players. Modric and Kroos are cheap and give you a bit of a buffer to pick lower rated players and still hit the target.

I don't think I've ever done an icon SBC though so probably best to ignore me

Sounds about right. Completed the 84 one with 2 informs and it cost more than expected, although that's probably due to people inflating the prices of 84-86's due to these SBCs.
 
Had they made the AI much harder or it's just I lost sensitivity on controller ? I don't have Plus yet so decided to try Journey mode, and I have been trying to win the first pre season match for 2 hours now!! They are very aggressive on the ball and this United side I'm playing in looks more disjointed than the real one.

I've just used his loan card this weekend league, he's not the best at cm but would probably do a job at CDM

He'd replace Matuidi in my team and would offer links to everyone which is useful in a hybrid. Just gonna go with it. Could probably get more cost efficient players but I'd rather just get players I like

Yeah he's not a slouch or anything, just didn't offer enough going forward for me.
 
Anyone tried Futmas Matuidi yet? Thinking about doing that one but going to end up with a team full of untradeables before long
 
Matuidi looks a beast, can't afford him though.

After starting Fut Champs 9-3, it took me to game 29 to get 17 wins, wouldn't mind but the game played great, I probably played the worst Fifa of my like yesterday. Ended up 13 and 12 at one stage, sold Fabinho, Naingollan and Alex Sandro and binned Hagi and FutChamps Alisson for Rivaldo. Luckily got Lloris out of the packs. Played Futmas Khedeira, Futmas Torreira and TotG Kroos in midfield and won my last 5 in a row.

New team is looking like this.

I've got about 600k coins on PS4 for 4 or 5 players. I'm not going to be playing until the new year, will the market crash more or is now a good time to buy?

It will go down when Team of the Year arrives, probably by a decent amount.
 
Didn't even touch the FUT yet and already deleted it yesterday after regretting buying it instead of Detroit.

You are better off to hold what you have a save for someone like Walker or Van Dijk, they should be dropping with the team of the year release and you'll probably be able to pick them up for 60kish.
 
Anyone else want IF pogba but annoyed they have no action shots for totw? Probably just me.

I think theyll update them with dynamic pictures later. Think it happened last year too where over the holidays it took a bit longer for them to get dynamic pictures as the people who did that were on holiday or something.

Get rid of Lindelöf, he’s definitely the weakest link. Buy Davinson Sanchez. Otherwise it’s a quality team considering the value. I think looking at formations/tactics is the easiest way for you to improve rather than getting better players, but when you get more coins I’d start looking at players like Sane, Fabinho, Walker, VVD, Firmino (play him in midfield) and De Gea.

Almost forgot, buy Son! He should be your top priority. Play him as a striker, even though he doesn’t get perfect chemistry.
 
Just reached a rating of 2500 in div rivals. I fecking hate it though, every team has CR7 and multiple icons. Everyone are sweaty cnuts who pause the game, changes tactics, subs, everything. It’s not fun at all, wish there was a gamemode where I could play casually against a bigger variety of opponents, but sadly the weekend league is as close to that as it gets.

The drafts are brilliant. will never play enough or be good enough to get the best players so its the perfect mode. plus they leave the opponents established date on the selection screen so you can pick out relatively newer players... I always get to the final.

I wish they had a mode where you could draft against your mates, one person picks and then the next and so on.

Haha. I sold standard pogba and IF Kante and bought POTGS eriksen and IF Pogba and still have 500k in the bank. But this was not a moment of tribulation. I did look at myself and wonder how much money have I wasted on this game.

do you ever come up against someone with a shitty team but they are just really good at the game and hammer you?
 
Anyone else feel like their weekend league rewards have turned to shite the last month or so? I went from getting icardi, martial and mane in the first few weeks to only getting Lozano as the best IF in the last 6 weeks. And that’s at two picks a week.
 
It's £28 on ShopTo now. Shall I take the plunge?

My rewards have been shite since i started. I usually finish gold one and the best red player I got was SIF Suso
 
Just bought a team and tried to make them all promising young players save for a few for chemistry reason.

I'm in division 6 for rivals and so far came against zero sweaty players, able to actually play the game the way i enjoy
 
These TOTW SBCs can get to absolute feck. I've done about 10 of them and the best I've done is Grimaldo (decent card TBF) but the rest have been from the bench. I've had that shit french left winger 3 times and that shit Romanian CF twice.

Christ almighty, my heart goes out to you pal. I got icardi, martial, mane in the first few weeks and a mate of mine got icard and mertens but since then it has gone downhill to the point that we are both getting the lower end of the 84/85 players. If Suso was your best pick ever then you must be on the blacklist.

Kompany is crap. Get rid. If you didn’t even have the coin then standard d Sanchez would be far better, if you have 700k then get second inform van dijk and pocket 250/300k and VVD will get a ratings refresh in a few weeks. You could use the other 250-300k to get inform pogba or martial who will also likely get ratings refresh’s as well.
