I think I read that it’s TOTS players from the PL, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Community.

The games basically dead. Rather than piss everyone off further and risk people not getting FIFA 20, why don’t they just do all they can to make the last couple of months exciting and try and get people back on side?

What I would love to see is players from where im from (SSE Airtrcity League) bumped up to compete at weekend level. I know they are brzone but it would be amazing to build a team like that

With icons though you could use just about anyone and it not matter if they bumped everyone up.
In other news gameplay is terrible today. Lost my first match against a guy who couldn't string 3 passes together, problem was I couldn't manage 2

Time to bronze pack like hell. I made huge profit last time it came up. The SSE has plenty of rounds to go and will likely pop up a few more times before the end of the game cycle same with Korean league.

Play absolutely shitloads if you’re shite or just do well in the weekend league if you’re good. I’m the former. I was addicted to gambling before this so I guess it’s better than that.
I'm okay at the online normal game but people constantly quit on you if you're winning . Is the fut game any better for that?
Just came up against a guy who had his whole team on gets forward, and could i string two passes together despite going 1-0 up?? Pathetic. He was pressing on the max amount and literally my team would pass the wrong way for every pass because of it. Ended up losing 5-1 somehow. I hate this game.
at least you didn't quitI have an 87 rated team, the bench is crammed with tots objective players, how the hell am I supposed to win vs guys with 91 and 92 rated teams. I'll win the ball, well tackle the forward and it drops straight back to them for a tap in, even my keeper palms the ball into the path of a striker for a tap in. Such a shit game, which I hadn't bothered getting back into it.
These are my last 2 opponents. People who say the team doesn’t make that much difference are talking shit - as long as you know how to press X and O you will win 99% of the time with teams like that.

It’s gotten worse over the years because legends became available on the PS4 and there’s so many legends now. Legends are just too overpowered.
Don’t know how people can call it competitive. Forget about the gameplay, but you need to spend a serious amount of money to get a competitive team. I mean you can play lots but that’s not going to help you in the first few months. Imagine if shooting games you had to spend more to get better weapons. If Fifa wants to be a competitive game than the competitive mode shouldn’t be restricted. Yeah restrict the other modes, but obviously EA will never do that.
I don’t blame the pros or people who use these teams. EA themselves need to make it better.
The quality of teams is through the roof but the quality of player I'm coming up against this weekend league so far is shocking... no one must be left playing the game. Or maybe I'm just really good when the servers are running nice for me... not really its the former.
1st Game - 7-0 win
2nd Game - 9-2 win
3rd Game - 9-0 win (had 20+ shots on target here)
4th Game - 7-1 win
5th Game - 2-0 win (rage quit in the 7th minute).
6th Game - d/c Loss (was battering the guy for the first 20 minutes but finishing badly, put Cavani through on goal and he must have turned off his console)
Had I played out all 6 games in full I'd be confident I'd have scored over 40 goals in them. Couldn't believe the first 4 guys all stuck out the games, I was 3-0 up in the first 25 minutes in them all. Kind of sucks to take the dc loss but if the game played like it has tonight all year I'd be happy enough with it.
Replaced Tots Benzema with TotS Cavani and Di Maria because I preferred Cavani's workrates and my team just feels like it plays right now. Kluivert, Cavani and Eriksen make all the right runs while Di Maria feels fantastic as the creator. Been subbing on TotS Quagliarela for Kluivert due to Kluivert's shitty stamina and he's been smashing teams.
I'll probably still only finish on 17-19 wins but tonight the game feels so good, not perfect and small bullshit still happens but at least when I press a button the player does what he's supposed to and 90% of passes go where I aim them. Those first time shots are a killer, shouldn't even be as good but it's a way of exploiting a way around low composure I guess. Every game I've played someone has scored at least 2 with them, Quagriella is too good at them.
Started my path at this game by going directly to online playing this weekend. 2-6-3 is my current record, but I guess the server will probably try to match noob players, because even the games I lost it was by stupid mistakes by loosing possession near my own area.
I also started the FUT mode, but I'm not sure I will continue it because I guess it needs daily maintenance and unfortunately I may not have as much spare time as I would need (or want).
Now noob questions that I've tried to google but found no answer that really worked:
- When I pass a ball to a player (or try to anticipate an opponent's pass), how do I do I make the target player to move before the ball gets to him? The guy just stands there waiting for the ball to reach his fee. In old PES2010 I would press R1 + R2, now pressing the sprint button seems to help a bit, but still gets a late response.
- Is there a way to make sure my center defensive midfielders to cover my defense? It seems to be a gap between the midfield and defense and a lot of my opponents exploited the space between the midfield and defense and I couldn't get the right instructions to make sure those players wouldn't get out of their zone.
- How do I change game plan during the match? I've spent about 30 mins doing the gameplan strategies, aligning players, etc

1. If you press RB/R1 towards the players you want to pass to, he will come towards you. If you press L1/LB he will make a run
2. You can set midfielders to sit back on attack individually. Sometimes it works but also depends on the work rates of the midfielders
3. Before you go into a game, go to customs tactics and setup a normal tactic, defensive and an all out attack in case u need a goal. In game you will flick the d pad to switch to the one you want
Used another lads team this weekend as I couldn't care less about weekend league atm. Finished on 23 with 2 to spare. He has a great team, but I tell you what... R96 is awful. Subbed him out every game, sometimes as early as 20 mins as he was falling over, stretching for easy passes etc.

Seemed to have a problem with players pressing/sitting this weekend. If Vieira and Gullit pressed the opponent like I wanted, the defence didn't move up at all so this created huge gaps

They are ridiculous and should be toned down for the next 20 version. I remember in previous versions, you rarely would score one, never mind from ridiculous angles or 25 yards out. Most people didnt try, and if so, the ball would rarely hit the target with good power and accuracy. The biggest issue is that at this stage of Fifa, everyone has ridiculous cards, and even if you know what they will do, you cant block the shots, unless your AI defending does it for you or they miss, which is harder than scoring. The majority of goals i concede are first time shots outside the penalty box with the players being behind the ball and then pulling off ridiculous shots into top corners. Hate that shit, so unrealistic and lucky, you only have to try a few times and you will score one with guarantee.
I know what you mean mate, soon as I come up against TOTS Quagriella, Ibrahimovic, Reus, Havertz etc, I know I'm conceding a few at least. The first time thing was supposed to have been nerfed out months ago.
Yeah especially Havertz from that list is massively OP. Prime Eusebio is probably the worst one in this against me. Just yesterday TOTS Pepe scored a few against me as well with his ridiculous left foot. Everyone has the same OP players and abuses the shit out of them.
Question for everyone? Who is your favourite player to use for fun? Not overpowered (they might be)… but overall someone who u like even though they may not necessarily be a meta player
The worst is when they can afford to being on a TOTS Ibra in the last 10 minutes of the game and just lump crosses to him. What the hell can you do?
Scream Koke. He's played almost 600 games for me and I've played him in every position in midfield.
Ronaldinho 94 is fun to use. Only used him a few times in drafts but you can actually twist and turn and run away from people using him.
What I mean is I normally have to use a skill move or pure pace to get away from someone. With him you can just turn in different directions before accelerating away from them.
90 Veron and 93 Rivaldo. Not popular icons, but i loved them as players and i also like them in the game. 94 Baggio was nice as well, but i settled for Rivaldo due to being cheaper

Yeah and not even the standard crosses, but the tornado ones and flick/volley crossing. I love to win against these guys. Or the croqueta abusers.
I’ve just got Rivaldo. Where do you play him and what chem style? Not loving him thus far.
I have him as a striker initially due to chemistry reasons, but move him to cam in game behind 2 strikers. I have Engine on him, to make him a bit more smooth. When i had Hawk on him and he played as a striker, i didnt like him initially, i expected him to score more and he didnt. But after a while he grew on me as a CAM. His right foot is useless, but i am patient and love it to shoot with his left after making some space with a skill move or fake shot, since i am a left footer as well
Might not be great in Fifa though, but yeah. With his right he only scores first time shots or from close range, which doesnt happen often with me. I think his freekicks are excellent and he pops up with great runs from crosses for headers. Since TOTS, it is obviously a bit more difficult, since plenty of midfielders and defenders got faster and stronger, so his impact isnt as huge as before.Oh man that prime Eusebio is ridiculous on this edition, I concede from all over with that guy, he's broken. I agree, the game is finished now everyone has a team stacked with TOTS and icons.
I actually have a lot of joy using the TOTS Rodri, not sure if he classed as OP, his rating is 88 but he just seems to play well
I really like the Felipe Anderson 88 OTW card. Not overpowered but great stats and a lethal goalscorer.
