I didn't save the clips but he scored 2 in a 3-1 win. First goal about 40 yards out, done an el tornado and let rip and it flew in top corner. That was the impressive goal though... I came from the right with him and with most players would have definitely lost the ball but somehow he managed to just walk out the other end and bury it

I had a lot of fun just using skill moves with him and mbappe and terrorising the guy :lol:

I will never afford it as im fading off fifa atm, but 94 Ronaldinho with those 2 would be so much fun

Sounds like TOTS Aguero, he literally scores from anywhere if he's got a yard or 2 of space

I have my 2 CDMs untradeable so wont be changing them. Goretzka (can play RCM or CM easily and Vieira. Lets be honest, neither of us are getting Ronaldo mate :lol: (Hoping this helps by crying about it)

I'll probably get offered Cancelo again along with some dross.

Next week I can use any central player so will feel a bit better about my odds of getting lucky then.

I was just about rank 1 last night, not too much difference between rank 2 and 1 though at div 1 is there.

I never get good pack luck from those bastard rivals rewards. I’ve done alright from FUT Champs. Hoping for the unlikely prospect of getting Ronaldo or Nainggolan in it.
 
Please help someone! This week i have really struggled with formations. I can’t make my mind up. Id love to play 41212 but I can’t defend to save my life, unless i have a CM on stays back at all times, or the whole back 4 on stays back. So firstly i need tactics AND a striker to play the system. Im thinking Cristiano if i sell a load of players and im hoping he would be enough to win games on his own. I dropped 200 skill points last night from 1400 to 1200 because of some unexplainable reason FIFA scripted everything against me.

Or can anyone help set up a decent 4231 system for me? Which i’m more solid at but struggle to creates golden chances. On the Bench I have 92 Zlatan, Birthday Walker and Prime Owen, but the latter two i’m shying away from using. Walker because he ruins the chemistry on the defence and keeper (all of whom are untradeable apart from Cancello) and Owen because his passing is woeful and constantly interrupts my attacking moves)
After advice on tactics/player instructions. I used to be good at crossing but recently any cross is easily cleared by the first defender, whether its whipped or lofted in, no matter the power i put on it. Maybe because I can’t start Zlatan due to only being 8 chem. The whole team you see is untradeable apart from Cancello like i say.

Torreira needs to go imho, I'd start there, he's too small and for this stage of the game too low in rating. Your team lacks someone to win headers in attack bar Gullit. Height is a big isssue throughout your team. Imho Robertson, Torreira and Laca are certainly too small. Costa is tiny too but as I'd imagine he's the one doing the crossing I have no issue here. Since christmas being huge is the most important stat on this game imho.

Working off what you have, I would say you could go 4231 with Gullit and Ndombele at CDM. Costa at right CAM, Lacazette at centre CAM and two decent signings. If you could drum up 2m in coins then I'd dump Torreira altogether and bring in maybe Quagliarela (under 500k and amazing) and one of either moments Kluivert or Ronnie. Personally despite his low stamina I'd go moments Kluivert as it will make linking things much easier. You could go Kluivert and Ronnie if you can work up 2.5m or so which is a steal but imho despite being just under 6ft Quagliarella's stats blow away both Kluiverts and Ronnies.. So Kluivert up front and Quagliarella at LCAM in game.

For me I'd start like this...


Then I'd start upgrading Cancelo to tots and finally getting a replacement for Robertson (although they'll be hard to link) but Ronaldo and tots strikers with height and power will kill him at the back post.

I got Izzo (over Onana, Angelino, Lazzari) and Sirigu (over Onana, Lazzari, El Khayati) :lol:

Just got De Paul in a mega pack. What formation are you using?
 
Only got to silver 1 last week, had to choose between Correa, Izzo and the spanish lb from eredivisie.

Went for Correa as I use him and Izzo anyway, and he was more expensive so I'd make better coins back.

He has dropped 35k since I listed him, and Izzo has held his price :lol:

I havent looked back since i made the switch. Its not as solid defensively as other formations, but for attacking its the best. Everyone just seems to be far enough apart to not get in each others way, but far enough apart that theres always an option open
 
ilicic and Chiesa. Could have went Donnaruma over Chiesa but heard Chiesa was good, so can be a sub. Done Serie A SBC, Fabian, will be kept for ultimate TOTS. Gonna do Sandro SBC soon
 
Got Van Person and Chiesa, could have take Quagirella over Chiesa but I've already got Zlatan on the bench if I decide to change my striker.
 
Donnarumma continues to be the worst keeper I have used. I has read his TOTS was the best keeper on the game... 5-1 down at half time where he hasnt made a single save, caught a single cross, no matter the distance or angle, suggests otherwise.

Luckily got him for 120k and sold him for 140k, put that towards 94 Yashin instead. Hopefully he is as good as he was on WC mode last year

Go and buy 89 Van Der Sar.... best on the game. I don't usually care about keepers but I thought I would try him after he was highly recommended. He is solid!

@Hernandez - BFA There will be an ultimate TOTS at some point, the best of the best from TOTS. Requirements for the SBC will be higher than normal and that weekend league will be mega sweaty.
 
Does anyone actually play career mode anymore? I can’t really be bothered with the effort of FUT but whenever I play career I usually go through the first transfer window, buy the best players
And that’s that done for career. Anyone know if they are planning anything else in the next one to help with people who want a more interesting career?

Get yourself into FUT. At least give it a go. If you don't fancy playing a lot, you can buy and sell on the market. Its very rewarding with rewards for playing games during the week

Compared to years ago, everyone can access the best players at some stage

I used to play it regularly up until fifa 19. May give it a go again.

I will play this weekend probably, but not care too much. I usually don't care too much if I hit elite or not but the ultimate week I want to be hitting elite 3 at least

I think I'm only annoyed as I haven't managed it this year. Normally fluctuate between G1/E3 and this year it's just been G1 all year

I've seen a few people say that and its weird as he has stays on his line and comes for crosses trait. I think the issue might be he's slow as hell and with those traits gets caught out of position. Since I started playing high depth and pressure on heavy touch I couldn't be happier with TotS Ederson. He's not the best shot stopper on the game but my god does he save my arse on through balls past my high defensive line.

He has the same traits as Donnaruma but he's got 82 pace which is amazing for a keeper. Only 6'2" might be why he's not the best shot stopper but if you aren't playing drop back and playing an attacking game he's the best I've used.
Statistically with a basic chem style hes the best keeper on the game with most base stats. Add in the basic chemstyle and he's 99 in every stat and 82 in speed. No speed boost for keepers on any chemstyle so it impossible for anyone to come close to him.

I'm considering swapping over to him from Alisson, but the long throw of Alisson gets me on so many counter attacks quickly

I think many people plump for Alisson over him, I generally play possession in attack and defend high which is why Ederson works so well for me. I'd imagine for those using fast build up those throws would be great. I hated Ederson at first but once I switched back to Macern's tactic's he just clicked for my team.
 
Welp. I have seen Icardi sbc can be done for 160k, i can sell Cutrone for 130k and maybe use my 97 Griezmann to reduce one sbc.

Or sell Yashin now, rebuy Handanovic, and then do the sbc.

Whatever way, I want Icardi

I tried Macerns tactics for a while but just couldn't get them to work for me. Had Cavani, Ibra and Crespo being crossed to by Mbappe and it just wasn't working at all.

I score more long shots with it than headers to be honest. What I do is the first couple of times down the wing I spam crosses. The other player gets used of it, than I simply break down and instead of crossing do that two pass thing he had a diagram up for and tots Eriksen scores 90% of the time. I think I'd score more headers had I a better left winger than tots Gomis.

Yeah I play using the passes inside from wide anyway. Have N'Dombele and Blanc at CDM and they just sit 30-40 yards out recycling the ball over and over again when I'm on form
