Why doesnt EA release POTM cards for other leagues apart from premier league? It would probably stop the overuse of the BPL.

Hagi is the best player I've ever used on any fifa.
Was 2 out of 4 before buying him, I used 91 Hazard in those 4 games btw and now I'm 12 out of 14. 10 won on the bounce and he has been key to each of the wins with goals or assists.
Any free shot within 25 yards goes in, and I've finally found someone that can take free kicks on this Fifa whereas before I was crap at them.

I should have but I was having fun playing with it so thought 'feck the money'. Then Salah turned to shit and all his shots started going out for throw-ins.
I actually just want to try Mertens out. There's a lot more room to build with a Serie A team, I'd start with Koulibaly and Manolas and save for Chiellini and Bonucci, start with Pjanic and save for Nainggolan etc. With my PL team it's only really in-forms of players I already have that I would want to improve.
I can’t use Hagi at all, done the loan SBC to have a look. Quick and nimble, but his shots from 18-25 yards out are poor for me anyway.

Just remembered, last night I had the biggest indicator yet that scripting/momentum does exist. I always knew, but this time it was clear as day. I'm not even talking about things like "oh his goal was bullshit". It was a game where I was playing some nice stuff, fast free--flowing football and was 3-0 up by half-time. Great, I thought.
Then in the second half, it literally felt like my players had lead boots on. My players couldn't control a simple pass, the passes themselves started going awol, the players positioned themselves far from anyone else on my team and it seriously felt like they'd been drugged or something. I've never seen it as bad as that before. It's not like they were just tired, they were on 90-something fitness and they all have green stamina stats. I was so sure I was being fecked with, and my players wouldn't even do the basics. He equalised in the 86th minute as my defenders were busy running into each other. It just makes you wonder what the point is.

Don’t know how you guys do so well. Last year I was a gold 1/ Elite 3 player. Just can’t get to grips with it this year.
It seems in fut champs everyone has Ronaldo with a few icons surrounded by him. Even though I can beat some of these teams it’s very demoralising!

Likewise; I get gold 2 or 3 every week and can’t move beyond that. I start off well at like 5-1 then get matched against better players and go on a losing streak.
Me three. I was flying at one point and getting matched against similar teams as mine. Since then EVERY team has Ronaldo or Griezmann and loads of icons. One guy had Ronaldo/Griezmann/Bale with fecking Pele behind them.
I called it. 11 games later and still need 1 win. Absolute jokeNeed 1 win to get gold 3 which was my aim. Had 14 games to do it and I’ve lost 7 in a row. I’m definitely not going to win again

Griezmann isn't really that expensive for how good he is. Aubameyang is like 2x as expensive and is no where near as good.
I think so, as someone else said try out the loan and see what you think.
I've got Griezmann just in front of him so utilise his passing to play him in on goal and he doesn't really miss for me.
Yeah, did the Hagi loan yesterday, he is very good. Pity i cant afford to buy him or do the untradeable sbc. Probably the third best 10 in the game behind Maradona and Ronaldinho.

I just hate it when i click accidentally on putting an expensive player on the market without adjusting his price. Usually i get fecked over and he sells for less than he could/should. Think EA should ask an automatic question if we are sure that we want that rather than putting him directly on the market and telling us they get 5% of the fee.
So after my quest for strikers i have basically gone from Mbappe to Griezmann to Cavani IF to Icardi IF to Lewandowski to Larsson 86 and then to Suarez. Will keep Suarez and one of Icardi/Mbappe, the rest didnt do it for me. Griezmann is good, but his right foot was useless for me and he hit too often the woodwork. He scores some cracking goals, but he wasnt the most clincial one. I hate it when strikers miss too many sitters, so in that regard Suarez, Mbappe and Icardi where the best for me, even if the allround game of the latter two wasnt the best one
Sold my 4321 prem team and went for a 3412 Serie A side. Then won promotion to division 4, then my first game in division 4 with a 3-0 rage quit. Plays quite nicely and Mertens is class.
Really, he was crazy expensive on the xbox the other day cause I looked at buying him as a super sub late on.
Have Mertens on my bench, hasn't really done anything for me yet and considered selling him.
He always seems to find space. He's 5 foot 7, but so good in the air because he finds space for himself and never seems to miss. Scored two headers for me in the last game.

I havent played with him, but i tried his IF card in a draft, was pretty good, even if i thought his pace wasnt as high as his card suggests.
Don’t play much now but decided to try out IF hazard and he’s is the best attacker I’ve used by a long shot.
What CT? How are you protecting the back 3? My fav formation for previous years was 352 but it gets bullied this year.
Eriksen is probably my favourite midfielder in Fifa 18. His crossing, freekicks, corners, passing and shooting is absolutely amazing. Had his NIF and his IF card currently, both are great. Will buy his hero card at one point for sure. He is an assist machine. Think he has 43 assists in 58 games as a CM. Anyone that has problems with corners and freekicks should try him out, ridiculous accuracy.
Just being curious here. Often wondering how do you guys get coins for buying superstars? Do you spend actual money with in the game ?
I set them when I used 4231 and can't really remember what they are anymore. I don't really protect them at all, I just have quick wingers that I track back with, so I leave the back 3 alone and run back with a winger.
If you spend a feck load of time into the game you can eventually make enough to buy the expensive players - even then the likes of icon Ronaldo, Pele etc will be inaccessible as they cost 4-5m+.
Doing weekend league and squad battles regularly and then some pack luck from the rewards, doing sbc's and hoping for pack luck, etc.. I did a lot of buying players for cheap and selling them when their price goes up over the first few weeks before the WL started, did the squad battles for the first 3 weeks or so, and did the WL all of October. Put me up to 1.7mil basically. Now down to 1.5mil because some investments didn't work out but it's not too hard to get coins in this. Finishing gold 2 should get you 100k overall over a WL, squad battles probably gets you 40-50k overall for finishing around gold 2 (Forget exactly but it's decent enough) and so on.
What a time to sell your useless 83 players! Worth barely 800 coins on Xbox prior to this week, now going from 3k-6k onwards. I made around 80k from selling 12 players.

Some do, you can either buy coins or points and open packs.
I do a bit of trading if i see some good deals or speculate which player prices will increase and rely mainly on pack luck, from the weekend league, fut draft and sbc. I dont play much during the week, at night a few games here or there, more on the weekends though.
And how do you define superstar? A lot of players over 91 rating and some icons are unattainable, the rest is ok if you play regularly and have some pack luck at times.
99% will never get the really good players like Pele, Maradona etc.

Something like 14/15 and my brother like 15/23, my team is so good. Just got elite 3 and have faced the teams I'd usually lose against but its so much easier with Bale, Kante, Blanc, Rui Costa, Boateng, Neuer, Alaba and Sergio Ramos.
83k in squad battles, lost my last game. Hope I can hang on to elite1, if I do I'll be signing Erikson and azpilicueta.

Yeah but EA being EA, probs need those 83s for an incredible SBC soon. They always get people to dump a card before giving them a reason to desperately buy packs.
Flash SBCs tomorrow as well... I’ve kept all my cards because those TOTW SBC looked shit, lets see if it works out.
