Gaming FIFA 18 Ultimate Team

So I won the draft and got a gold pack and a rare players pack. Highest rated player in the two packs was Ashley Williams from the fecking gold pack. Pedro Leon was the face card of the rare players pack. I feel thoroughly ripped off. Barely made my money back.

Pulled Messi's CF card, CR7 and Modric and just a bunch of utter trash in the remaining spots, but that Messi card is just unreal. I felt like I could score at will with him and he carried me through the entire draft before provoking a rage quit with a hat-trick in the final. Definitely going to think about picking it up when I get the coins for it.

Anyways, started a new draft with the money from the garbage in those packs and got the 91-rated Pelé which is just unreal as well. He scored five goals in the first game. Nothing like a bit of draft to get me drooling about the players I will probably never be able to afford.

Think the draft rewards were better last year, I'm sure you'll eventually pull someone decent but just the kind of packs you get is shit, always gold or rare gold, for winning a 15k draft like.

Well, for every draft winner there's 15 draft losers. That adds up to a total of 240 000 coins in entry fees. The fact that the winner gets packs worth 55 000 coins at the end is ridiculous. I get that you're always supposed to get back packs of the same value as the entry fee, but I still feel like the winner doesn't get a reward that even remotely reflects the value of the combined entry fee.

I don't know how to fix the reward structure, but maybe they could guarantee a draft token to the winner, as well as the mediocre pack rewards. At least that guarantees a profit.

Griezmann doesn't hold the ball up well in my honest opinion but that's a very solid looking team.
 
Sold my team coz I'm out of the country for the weekend so now I'm sitting on 1.8m. Gonna buy a team Sunday evening when prices are cheapest, I think.

Not sure if I should splash out on an icon and build a cheap team around them or spread the coins equally

So yeah, I spent THREE fecking hours on ea live chat yesterday. It all ended with them telling me to forward some ports on my router. Not sure whether to blame the game or the ps4 (or both, I’m currently blaming both). I pray to god that I’ll get it sorted out quickly later today when I get home. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Dumb question - on the SBC challenges, when they say Team of the Week players - do they mean the actual cards of TOTW or just a player who got TOTW?
 
How fecked is the difficulty for the single player squad battles? 'World class' is miles more difficult than the normal world class difficulty outside of squad battles. Then there's unbelievable amounts of bullshit in the game you have to deal with

Squad battles and the draft one. IT's fecking pointless. I only play FUT single player cos they have no manual player filters online in the mode. So when bullshit happens I am perhaps more fuming than I would be playing someone

Just had a run of 3 games in squad battles where I hit the post 9 times (including 4 times in one game on professional difficulty which thankfully I won 2-1 despite the bullshit meter being ramped up to max). I've found that the difficulty jump from world class to legendary is marginal at best - so now I'm just going to play professional against most of the teams and legendary when up against decent sides.

As long as you’ve got fast players I think legendary is pretty easy. Scoring the first goal helps a lot too, I find it’s much more difficult if the computer scores first.

It is as it should be really. Most teams when going a goal up will try and control the game and that's the same thing the computer does.

Inversely they will chase the game when going 1 down.
 
Started off the day 0-3, panic bought De Gea cos Karnesis had me on full tilt due to his inability to save the softest of goals, ended my session 9-3.

I cannae be losing to absolute garbage. Worst thing about those defeats is that they alll went extra time, one lose on pens.

Takes up valuable playing time! :mad:
 
I really don't know what my next move is / should be.
With the hype around Bakayoko, I've sold Rose and Wanyama and replaced with Bakayoko and Alonso.

IF Fellaini - Bakayoko
De Bruyne
Mkhi - Costa - Martial

By selling a few players I can raise around 500k, which means either:
A. Hazard > Martial / Fellaini > Kante
B. Lukaku > Costa / Sanchez > Martial
C. Pogba > Fellaini

A.1 Martial is doing really well for me. I don't see Sanchez as a big improvement to be honest, but Hazard is.

B.1 Costa has been really good for me so far. Out performed Zlatan, Kane and Morata, and his price is only so low because he isn't flavour of the month. Stats wise, there isn't much between Costa and Lukaku to justify the money.

C.1 Pogba over Fellaini is an obvious improvement, but Pogba would be expected to be defensive minded as well as going forward, and I just worry I'm wasting 500k on a player to do a defensive job, but I really do want Pogba :lol:

I could play a 2 up top formation, but I like having that bit of width when needed and you'd lose that in the 41212. It releases Pogba though.

It's useless. I buy every single thing in the catalogue and still have loads left over each year. Completely pointless, may aswell just let everyone have all the items at this point
 
This shit keeps happening vs. Legendary AI but three times in a row is taking the piss.



Switch to World Class and those shots go in. It's so fecking backwards that the higher difficulties make my players worse and not the opposition better.
