Just managed to qualify for weekend league but my God it was an absolute struggle! Lost once in the final then last minute winner in the semi, last minute equaliser in the final which I won on penalties.

Thanks. I'm planning to replace Gabiadini later on when I get some coins to get one of the top strikers but as a start for the game think he'll be good and his stats looks good too. I got him for 700 coins only so it was no brainer for me.
Absolutely! He’s a good striker! I found him to pop up at the right times.
My mate has him and said he’s absolute trash. He’s going to sell him. I’d say try Belotti instead.
Going for elite 3. If the level is around div 3/daily knockout then elite2/1 should be possible.
Opened 10. Best so far is Smalling. Used the rest to complete some SBC.
Instead of writing off this WL altogether I decided to make two teams worth around 20k each (ligue 1 and Calcio A). Both seem pretty decent to be fair and I can probably still do alright with them. So have this, along with 1mil coins...

If you are any good you should easily get gold 2 with that team, very well balanced.
anyone tried out Khedira and/or Biglia? Dont know which one to get for the more defensive midfield position, i wanted to upgrade on Allan. I play with a midfield 3, the other two midfielders are Nainggolan and one of Milinkovic-Savic/Joao Mario.
I use Biglia, he's slow and quite poor on the all but if you tell him to stay back and man mark he's very effective.
Doubt I'll play enough games to get to gold but I'd be happy with anything over 10 wins tbh. Probably going to play 20 games max.

Anyone else struggling like hell to break down parked buses? They are just impossible to score against. Blocking shots is so OP this year that there's literally no way to find a gap between nine guys huddled inside the penalty area and still beat the keeper. These teams usually have a 90 pace midget on the wing idling around at the halfway line, and since I spend ages passing it around in their half trying to find a small hole in the defence my own defence pushes up too. As soon as that hail mary ball gets hoofed out of their defence the midget on the wing has acres of space for himself, and I just can't get a hold of my defenders quickly enough to catch him.

Set your instructions to defensive and possession. It should stop your defenders from over committing.

One guy beat me when I only needed one win, he had a team with fecking Ronaldo and Bale in it. He scored in like the 60th minute then proceeded to just keep the ball and waste as much time as possible. Thankfully though I've made it.
Card weights are highest during release day generally.
Injuries are bugged in this sometimes. First of all, the frequency of them. But also I noticed that the players just stay injured and the games don't go down. Just played 3 games with Seri being injured, and checked and he still had 2 games left. I doubt he had 5 games to start with.

Feels good doesn't it. I'm dreading some of the teams I'm going to come up against though can guarantee there will be some excellent sides.
How much do people expect squad fitness cards to rise tomorrow? Currently 1100 BIN considering picking up 100 off them to sell tomorrow when prices rise. If they go up by 500 I'd make 50k
They're all in my transfer pile along with the squad fitness cards! I rotate teams so I never need to use them, but it's just bugged as in the number of games out not going down sometimes after playing a game which makes me use other players twice in a row or something.
Actually never mind, they aren't bugged. They just get stupidly long injuries. Just had the standard injury I get, checked how long he's out for.... 4 fecking games

I'd hold on to them until next week. I've got around 50 from SBCs, not to sell. I'd imagine a lot of others have a heap at the moment so waiting a week or two might be the best option.

Tbh I'm not sure they'll rise a whole lot, they stuck at 1100 last year. The cards I'm surprised at are position modifiers.
They normally go above that in WL though. I remember them at almost 2k last year

I did the same with Martial, packed thinking I’d get 20kish, ended up with 60+. The crazy thing with Rashford is that everybody is buying him in the knowledge that’ll he drop in price dramatically at some point.

Is there any way to see the rough price of position modifiers and stuff? I checked FUTBIN and every position just says 150>5000.
Look it up in the transfer market. No website that gives you the price afaik, except for the web app ofc.

Still struggling for goals but seems to be an improvement in overall gameplay using the 4-3-3 (4). Bit of luck this morning doing the SBC's...so far packed Martial and Ibrahimovic!
