Never tried him but I played against him once and he scored a hat trick so I figured he was good. Heard he was martial-esque.

Who would you suggest as a back up striker then? Should have 100k to spend if I budget things correctly. I would take Icardi again but the chemistry doesnt work.

Am I right in thinking one of your teams has a lot of French in it? IF Ben Yedder is a lot of fun. He used to be my super sub. He's very nimble and his finishing is great.

Currently 20-5. Had a few late games when I should have just gone to bed. Doh!

Really enjoying MOTM Son and 87 Mane!
I may carry on using them for my main team.

Well currently dont have a team but its what im planning to buy. Will have 1.1mil when everyone sells most likely, plus kante, martial, otw pogba and potm alli in my squad already. Planning on just having 1 team and rotating some players around rather then 2 different sides. Since I have Martial on the left in the back ups, its more just someone up top to have a strong link with on the right wing, basically 9 prem and 2 other leagues. Might do rw Isco and then Benzema since they'll have full chem. Or Diego Costa. Like having 1 stronger striker when I already have 1 of the more nimble types already (so Martial +1 in a diamond).
 
Tempted to play UT. Haven't done so in years. But one quick question. Is the gameplay still much faster compared to other modes? I always found too many players were over powered which caused the game to be played at such a helter-skelter pace with so much emphasis on dribbling and shooting with ridiculous power. Defending and building up the play was too much of an after thought for my liking.

Nah it's slowed down quite a bit since FIFA 15. Over the top through balls are quite rare these days. The main changes are the crazy prizes dished out for participating in the Weekend League.

Same as the post above really. The players still move quicker than normal gameplay but comparer to past years it's slowed down massively and is much more tactical than it has ever been.

It's the only game mode I will play nowadays.

Try sif miki on the left. Card looks great. Or colemans 86 if. Miki is like 220k, coleman 90k i think. Obviously main thing is striker though.
 
Ended up buying Jordan Ayew iMoTM and putting hunter card on him. Cost 15k in total. So frugal with virtual cash. :lol: He's actually good, 4 star weak foot, 4 star skills. Scored 6 in 9 for me so far.

17-3 now. Played some bastid in my last game, atuerk7 (something like that), name seems familiar, like top 100 familiar. His close control was fecking insane. Made me look like a chump. Lost 4-1.

The servers have been shite today. So much speed up and lag, i've had 2 dc losses too. Need 9 wins from 13 games to get gold 1, which for me isnt likely and the fact that my last 5 games have all been affected by the servers is annoying as feck (not saying i'd have 5 extra wins though)
 
For some reason my games turn into hellish lagfests in the second half. The game flows smoothly for all of the first half and everything is dandy, and then as soon as the whistle goes after the break it's just utterly shite. It's happened in every game for the past two days, so I'm pretty sure it's something on my end, but my connection is flawless for everything else.

This is seasons and not WL, by the way.
 
Anyone played with Aguero? Just seen I can afford him, would be an upgrade on Sturridge. My Prem team is this:

Just sold my Mane OTW to afford for him so will let you know how it goes. Had Sturridge up front before this who I found good but nothing special.
 
Just had someone go 3-0 up against me and then pause it 3 times during the celebration, letting the time expire before repeating. I did the same thing from kickoff and then kept possession for a minute and he got disconnected. Nice dose of karma as I just got a null result.
 
17-4. Will have to play the remaining 19 tomorrow. Lost one on pens and the other 2 I lost today was a joke. One guy even apologised for a lucky win. Could've been 20-1 but not to be.

I feel your pain. I'm at 19 wins with 4 games left, had 12 wins at the halfway point. Gonna build my bundeslaliga team for next week this weekend, and use it in rotation with my PL team to save money on fitness cards, and hopefully have a change of fortune. Might have to try macern's 5212 idea. At least that way I might stop leaking goals
 
In the WL is the matching random or do you get placed against better people the more wins you get? I started off 7-2 but then up against ridiculous people since.

Based on skill level. You gain points for a win, and then play against people with a similar amount of skill points. Its why us mere mortals go on good runs then shit runs, as we win games we start getting matched against people we have no right to play against

Nice one, I thought it must be something like that. I should just lose every game between weekend leagues to give me half a chance of a good start when it comes to the WL starting :D
 
After the accustomed everything goes wrong for me start I have turned it around a bit and have 11 wins from 20, its not great but I should manage to get gold. I just played a guy that had 4 prem red cards so he must be a decent player, I played really well though and he rage quit at half time because I was 3 0 up.
 
I crymbled hard last night. Lost three in a row which just never happens. Ended gold 1 with 3 games left. Started off so well too. So sick of people subbing on Ronaldo from kick off. That shit needs to be banned.

I'm actually considering selling my whole team for a Ronaldo next week but will mean average players around him.
 
How do I enter the tornys which give prizes? ? I can see the weekend torny option but it says I need to win a daily one first
But can't see where to compete it that either

You qualify for it during the week. Check back tomorrow and it should let you attempt it. Then get 18 wins in the weekend to automatically qualify for the next weekend.
 
Just bagged Kantes new and improved. Thinking i might just sell it and buy it it back in a few weeks.

His upgrade is insanely overpriced due to the limited supply and high demand. Sell now if you don't desperately need him right now. He'll go down over the next few weeks.
 
Finished on exactly 20 wins. 12-8 for the first 20 games, 8-12 for the last ones. I am the definition of average :lol:

I can actually feel my gameplay change from day to day though. Everything feels smooth on friday as i play maybe 4 or 5 games a night in the week tweaking the line up etc. Then the grind of the WL takes its toll and i start second guessing myself and making more mistakes. How any of you manage 30 wins plus i have no idea
