What's Northern Gaming, if you don't mind me asking? Is it were you get sponsored for playing the game?
So how do you guys feel about the Weekend league? I think the underlying idea of opening up avenues of income that don't require you to spend money or grind the market is great, but at the same time it caused me to quit FUT, because it kinda forces you to spend half a day per weekend on FIFA and with the insane IF upgrade they are pushing it feels like you're left miles behind if you don't do it every week.
Generally speaking I also think the whole IF and chem system has gotten a bit out of hand, the (ingame) stats are getting way too high.
I can't speak for him, but most of the time I don't see the upside of playing a cross to set up a header when I can just cut in and play a ground pass. Since both the ground pass and the "normal" shot I'm trying to get from it are ten times more reliable than a cross and header.

I like the idea of the WL, but its made people play so annoyingly and the amount of games is just overly excessive. Shouldve been like 25.
Im fine with the IFs and all that, though the chemistry stuff is excessive. A few points up, ok, but players get +10 boosts on loads of different stats and they become overpowered.

Has the glitch been fixed that gave you a loss when they triggered it with the all out attack and subbing the strikers?

Free pack based on number of days you've logged in to UT since launch. I got the max one for 111+ days which is an Ultimate pack of 30 rare gold players. Best were Rakitic, Lukaku and probably Mane. All untradeable.
I've got the Rare Mega Pack. 30 Items, all rare, 26 gold.... just logging in to open it now.

Transfer market on PS4 is an absolute mess for me at the minute. Every listing is expired.

Yeah. But still. Would be nice to get someone worth anything anyway, or at least a few players to help in those totw squad builders. Handanovic will help with that, same with the 2 84's, but the rest are pretty useless. Especially since none of them are good cards in the first place to play with.

8-3-2 (2 disconnects) on WL so far. Think it was my shitty student internet which caused the disconnects rather than those glitches. I'm not counting those at losses . My pack was only the second best one available, the best I got out of it was contracts and Juanfran. Two of my rares were used up on a stadium and 1000 free coins. I'm saving up now to get the special megapack, I'm assuming these ones are tradeable?

Its the promo pack, basically one that everyone else has already opened with 30 cards 26 gold 18 rare or whatever it is for 17,500
It's just in the store, it's 50% off using coins. Bought 3 of them, 17500 each (normally 35000 each). Got Smalling in my first one which made that one worth it as it gave me like 10k profit for the overall pack, the other 2 I bought were shite though so for 3 packs, selling everything, I'll probably end up 5k worse off with what I got from them. It's probably worth trying though as it's not a huge loss of coins with the pack being 50% off and you have the chance to get something good.
Yeah not a bad shout I'll have to give that a look when I'm finished with WL. Just splurged on James Rodriguez and he's been crap which I wasn't expecting. Ozil is a beast for me in my BPL team though Suprised more people don't use him.

His SBC card is unreal. Beats alba in sprints constantly. Andhas great free kick and crossing stats. Absolutely love it.
Maybe not worth it actually. I bought 5 packs, and will probably have like a 30k loss from them. Meh. Got Smalling in the first one and the other 4 were trash. Not a big deal as the team I want to buy with all my coins I can afford with like 40k to spare, so that's why I went for it. Big potential upside, and not a huge loss though it is a probable loss.
Yeah it's always going to be a risk. If it was guaranteed profits it'd be pointless.
I'm at a crossroads as the players I need to improve my teams now are all at least 100k+ and I don't have the patience to save up for a few weeks
Yeah i was in a similar position so sold a team and ended up with like 600k, while still having my other prem team that I like using (martial, costa, miki, kante, herrera, gundogan, lloris, united back 4). So I biught Sanchez and planned on getting another prem team for the remaining 500k and splitting it over the 2 teams to have 2 really good sides. The only thing I'll lose from trying these 5 packs was getting a second goalkeeper like Courtois, so hardly a big deal as I can just put fitness cards on lloris.
I always find I can't get the balance right when I do 2 teams from the same league. I picked la Liga as my 2nd league the other week but I'm sort of regretting it already. Seems much easier to build a serie A or Bundesliga team without weak points than la Liga.
Like my LW is Nani and he is shocking and my midfield is so so slow. It works alright in seasons but in WL they get bypassed to easily.
Solutions of people I'm missing that are cheap enough would be great fully received. Midfield consists of Koke, Rakitic and James.
IF Aspas is really good for his price, got him for just over 30k earlier in the week. Would definitely recommend. I've him and Carrasco as wingers in a 41212 wide and both doing well for me in the WL so far.
Yeah I've got him on the right it's the left side I'm struggling with really. No good options knocking about for that side that I've noticed.
Considering getting NZonzi and getting Ribery for the LW. Would be Martial but already got him in my prem team.
Yeah, problem in La Liga is the wingers are a bit shit unless you use the elite wingers. No "cheap beast" mids, though Modric is easily my favourite midfielder in the game. The rest are pretty underwhelming though. Also for strikers, wasn't a huge fan of any of the guys I used. Basically from La Liga, having Alba is really good, then they have a good choice of center backs, and a few average right backs. Oblak is the only goalkeeper worthwhile I feel like, and then the front 6 is mostly meh unless you can spend 1mil.
