Can someone please tell me how to turn off the sound of my opponent?
I have no interest in hearing people's kids crying, them talkin to their mothers, shouting when i score, sing or whistle.... these are the only ones i've met.
Can't seem to find where to turn it off.

Hold in the PS button, there should be an option for Sound & Devices or something like that. You should be able to change it on there.

I'll check there next time, thanks.
I always forget the hold ps button option.

Played against a Glaswegian the other day who had his mic on. First time I haven't had the sound off for them.

He wasn't happy with my 84th and 93rd minute goals to win 3-2.

Could always just plug your own mic in but not put it in your ear.

lol ok the earpiece then if you want to be technical.

I never used the mic on ps actually, but i think it's a part of the wire to the ear piece, right?
So technically you're right.
I once used a mic that looks like the ones singers use, for gaming, so i got an interesting picture in my head before i commented ;)

Yeah I just use the 1 that comes with the ps, does the job fine for me. A proper headset certainly wouldn't work like that

Bit bored with ultimate team so decided to sell my IF Toure for 330k tokens and buy some 45k packs.

IF Naingollan
TOTGS Kongolo
Rakitic
Gundogan
Alex Sandro

Not bad at all :)

Must have opened 50 packs and the best player I've got is Wesley Sneijder!!

Dunno how but I transfer listed a Iranian player and got the 10k buy now for him, just assumed it must have been a mistake on someone's part.

I'm at the same point at the moment. My team is boring me so looking to change league's but can't decide where to go next. Bundesliga looks alright but to get the team I'd want would cost a fortune.

I'm done with it all together to be honest. I've been having much more fun with the gameplay in Seasons. It's unbelievable how differently they play. How EA have the cheek to claim there is no scripting in FUT is beyond me.

Yeah the scripting is a nightmare but I just prefer the quicker game play of fut compared to seasons. Plus playing with normal teams bores me to death after a couple of games. I'd rather keep changing my squad around

Had a bad start in D6 failing to win in 4 games. I then got 4 wins and a draw, I needed a win from my last game for promotion.

Obviously the guy I came up against had a super team, I battered him for most of the game but I couldn't beat his Courtois and he finessed one in the top corner from 30 yards and did nothing else the whole game

I never win a game the other way round though. Like I can't ever remember winning where I was outplayed and had 1 shot.

I had 17 shots, 11 on target with 4 hitting the post to my opponents 4 shots, 3 on target and lost 3-0 last week. I needed a draw to gain promotion. That was the last game I played in FUT and was a good time to call it a day.

I was just looking at some of my settings on seasons.

Out of interest, what does everyone use for cross assistance if you play semi/assisted?

Do you use full assisted or semi?

Also is there any benefit to auto switching move assistance? What do people use here. Mine is currently at none but wondering if that's something I chose on a previous FIFA and it's just remembered my settings.

I needed 4 points in my last 3 games in division 4 to get promoted and predictably got only 3 because I conceded a late goal which lost me the game in the final one. Then I started over and I lost my hope for this game, lost 4 games in a row where I only realistically deserved to lose in one. Final straw was leading 2-1 against Monaco with Nice and then conceding a never-was penalty 4 minutes from time and then another goal in the last seconds of stoppage time, an amazing tap in from two or three deflections. Feck off FIFA.

I wouldn't get too down about it.

I dropped from Divison 1 to Division 4 in more or less straight demotions!

Sometimes I like being demoted as I like a season of slightly less intense games. But this time I just kept losing. Once you're stuck in a rut it's tough to reverse it. Best to turn off and come back in a couple of days!

Thought I'd come vent on here as the EA forums and Reddit are a bit much.

I've played (extensively) and owned every FIFA since 94 International and would normally win Division 1 in Ultimate team / Pro Clubs with a 10:1 -or so- W/L ratio.

This year, no matter how I setup my team or approach my game, I can't seem to win at all. Player switching doesn't work properly, the driven pass is inconsistent, the standard pass and through ball speed up to the goalkeeper (or slow down for the CB to intercept) and first touch is completely broken.

I have to use some ridiculous shielding technique or a plethora of skill moves to even engineer a chance and even after 500 games I find myself shocked when I see completely average players use park the bus + high pressure to sprint at every single player I have without losing stamina (another ridiculous 'feature' of the game.)

I tried the weekend league for the 1st time and have played 25 games so far. I was 11-5 but now find myself 13-10 (or so).

EA are trying to promote FUT as the competitive mode but when there's clearly so much inconsistency combined with poor servers and on top of that a tonne of random input (stupid animations for throw-ins, corners, free kicks) along with only being able to play to one style per major patch.... it's a joke.

PS. On the last point, I've played Q3, Counter-Strike and Dota professionally over the past 15 years so understand eSports and feel qualified to make judgement on the state of FIFA.

I'm definitely not as good as on previous fifa's but it's not creating chances that I struggle with its more defending through balls. If I've got to play against aubameyang or Ronaldo the game just goes in circles of me dominating possession before a through ball sees my player run in treacle as they get skipped past. I refuse to use park the bus or ultra defensive like everyone seems to on this game but on the weekend league it really does seem the only way.

On the subject of the weekend league I do the same thing you described everytime. Usually win 12/13 of my first 15. Then suddenly can't win a game and get to about 18 out of 30. I could understand if you only played against people in the same tier as you as then it would obviously get harder but that isn't the case. Just seems like scripting to me.

Do people actually use park the bus or ultra defensive?

I have never used park the bus and the only time I've used ultra defensive it's nearly always led to me conceding because you just can't get out.

I'll only nudge it down one if late and defending a narrow lead but even going onto the normal defensive setting feels like ceding the game sometimes.

In FUT Champions, yeah. Almost every single game, from minute 1. I gave it one concentrated effort over a month to get the elite rewards and while the prizes are great, it's a game mode full of the worst of Fifa. Delighted to be done with it. Division 1 is pretty much the same.

Division 2 and below is where you can have enjoyable games where people aren't so desperate to abuse game mechanics.

I find it quite hard to tell if someone is using it on me or not tbh. I've played over 200 games on seasons mode.

Surely you can use it to your advantage by keeping them pegged in their box. You might not be able to play through them but you be able to stick in crosses or shoot from distance.

There defence is normally really deep so there are massive gaps between defence and midfield.

What annoys me the most about this game is the off the ball movement by AI players, you could have a simple pass set up then suddenly the striker sprint's back into midfield leaving you with no passing options.

Also the player switching has somehow got worse with this game, have found myself being locked on to certain players when there is a different player better equipped to recieve the ball just let's it go by him.

It's the inconsistency that gets me. One game your support striker is peeling inside as you hit a through ball and he's in acres of space in behind. The next he refuses to make any sort of run and the opposition defence is lively and first to every attempted pass you make. In fact the oppositions pressing in comparison to your own team is ridiculous at times. It has nothing to do with skill level of the players.

The bastards who just press r1 all game, and somehow make the Messis and Ronaldos shit the bed with awful touches. It's stupid.

Anybody know why they got rid of the R2 L2 dribble? That was awesome and fun to use and they got rid of the fecker.
