Sold him for 340k. Scored and got an assist today so his price shot up, but aubameyang scored twice so he'll probably get the IF over him anyway. Still, nice little profit on a player who just wasn't working too great.

Edit: Think I sold him in the 5-10 minute period between his assist and being subbed off. His price is back down to like, 305k now :lol:

So I think I should be able to afford these teams by next friday, as I'm not crazy about my 1 main team and then rotating other players. Team doesn't play as well as it should anyway. Plus I really want to try Pogba up top as him in midfield is so underwhelming every time.

Only problem that might happen with the second team is I usually like having a bigger presence up top... that second team has all tiny players. So maybe I'll do Higuain instead of Dybala if it doesn't work out.

13-3 today and 13-6 in total. My three unnecessary losses yesterday are extremely frustrating. I'm confident I can get Elite 3 or 2 in future weekend leagues, but tomorrow I'm happy if I secure Gold 3 so I can skip the DKO. I probably should grind out all 40 games to guarantee good monthly rewards, but it's so incredibly draining.

If I notch up five wins on the bounce at the start tomorrow I'll probably soldier on until I get Elite or it is totally out of the question. Then it will take 11 wins in 16 games, which is totally doable.
 
I'm 14-3. One loss was fair, one went to pens which I should've won before but on my first game there was this

Ive had an awful day in this. Think im 10 wins and 12 losses overall. Was 8 and 6 yesterday which was average at best, but today I feel like I can't do anything. As long as I get into gold I'll be happy but every game is such a hassle to play and I haven't had an "easy" game in ages. Half of them go to extra time, think I've lost 4 penalty shoot outs (and the last one I was about to win but as I was shooting my controller died and the shot got fecked up).

Seriously hope in the next Fifa they lower the amount of games you play over the weekend. 40 is awful.
 
I've now lost 3 in a row all against packed legend teams. So irritating.

I throw the SIF in there sometimes with Pogba and Vidal. Zeus himself wouldn't strike them down.
 
Really enjoyed my break from it this weekend. Looking forward to getting back on it this week though when the monthly rewards are released.
 
Ended up selling everyone and buying my 2 teams today since I hated using them. So far so good, Messi with 4 goals in 2 games, pogba finally playing really well as I'm using him at CAM (was shit tbh in CM). Also Mertens feels really good. Never used him before, heard his in forms were crazy, and all I have is his 85 non in form card, but I threw a deadeye chem style to give him 88 shooting so it's a really good card anyway.

Only players I couldn't afford from my plan were Modric and Marchisio/Naingollan. Got Iniesta and Bonaventura until I get my rewards for this WL, but I might keep Bona anyway. Iniesta is the one who has awful stamina but plays well in the first half at least.

Edit: Nevermind, sold Dybala and Iniesta for tif Icardi and Modric. Needed more height in the other team and Dybala wasn't having a huge impact (considering Messi was doing everything that he would normally do). Plus I loved using Icardi before. Works out.

If they want to improve the WL and make it less of a sweaty slog they need to introduce bonus packs based on goals scored. 150 goals in a weekend earns two Ultimate Packs, 120 one Ultimate Pack, 100 for a mega pack...

That would increase the amount of early ragequits substantially, because people are pricks and would love nothing more than to potentially rob their opponent of the opportunity of reaching the next reward tier for goals scored.

True, but it's goals scored rather than goal difference so even if you are losing 4-0, you might inclined to play on to try and scored 2 or 3 goals even if it means losing 8-2/8-3.

As for denying the opponent I guess you are referring to the automatic 3-0 win for a disconnect? Just scrap that and award however many goals had been scored at the time of the disconnect or aggregate them at goals scored per 10 minutes capped at 6-0 or something.

There is plenty they could do to make it a more enjoyable experience and I think they will look to do something next year as despite it's popularity there is obvious discontent from the majority of people who play it.

No it's a video game with arcade style play and reward system. They need to encourage people to play a more enjoyable game rather than a sweaty game, mechanics exploiting, shit fest that nobody enjoys.

Wouldn't people just send messages to each other and agree on scoring own goals? Even if you lose 60-61 it's worth it for pack.

I'm thinking more that people won't be as willing to fight to the end after going two or three goals down, just to prevent their opponent from scoring even more goals.

Harry Kane is surely guaranteed player of the month if you wanted to make some coins. How many goals has he scored this month he seems to be hitting at least 2 a week.
 
And here, if anyone is low on cash and looking for a cheap, OP PL striker, buy iMoTM Jordan Ayew, put a hunter card on him, and you have a fecking monster up front.

You can get him at discard price. Four star skills, four star weak foot, super strong, super fast and a quality finisher on either foot. iMoTM Andre Ayew is a good option on the wing also. Just tap L2 when sprinting with the ball and he shoves off anyone.

Two of my fav players and starters in my team. And I have the cash for much better players, stats wise, but nah.

Nah. In February all he had was 1 hat trick and then scored a pen in the other game, while Spurs had a loss to liverpool where he was ineffective in. Cup games aren't counted. Lukaku had 1 game where he scored 4 goals, and scored once in another game, Everton had 2 wins and 2 draws so better then spurs. McAuley should technically get it, think he scored twice for west brom and kept a few clean sheets and they went undefeated. A CB potm would be a bit underwhelming though.

Salvaged my weekend league. Was 10 wins and 14 losses when I decided to sell everyone and make my 2 teams. Have won 10 and lost just 4 of my next 14. 2 games left, just need the 1 win for gold 2 but this team works 100x better then the shite I had before. Its funny because the other team felt good in seasons, but once the weekend league came it fell apart.
Edit: feck. Lost my last 2 in tight games so ended gold 3. Annoying. My first 25 games fecked the WL up for me.

TIF Icardi instead of dybala, koulibaly instead of miranda, bonaventura instead of marchisio. Will probably get naingollan after rewards.
 
Had time for 20 games this weekend, spent the rest of the time with the missus, the kids and working and tbh feel so much more relaxed. I won 10 (maintaining my perfect 50% record haha) but realised the last few weeks i have been missing out on stuff just trying to grind 40 games for a few thousand coins and some discard packs. This weekend I have helped out the kids with homework, played some COD and Rocket League too, and the rest of the time watched films and tv with the missus and everyone in the house is so much happier.

I might not bother with WL again.... j/k I'll be back on the grind next week
 
I wish the drafts weren't so expensive, played a couple on the weekend and it's brilliant to be able to use the best players in the game.
 
Just my luck that in my last game I come up against a super team to deny me elite 1.

33-7. At least 5 of those were against absolute cack.
