Gaming FIFA 16

Hope they fix the defending in the stupid game too which includes :

The kick off glitch
The ability to use a pacey winger to basically feck every team up
The poorly timed tackles
And the ability to win Pens so easily.

It seems like FIFA has turned to PES and PES has turned to FIFA, the whole running at defenders thing used to be a PES thing and the build up play a FIFA thing, now they've switched roles.

The coin thing is also a problem in UT, how do you intend to stop me from buying coins from traders when you award me with 350 coins after a win, at what point am i going to be able to afford Hazard talk less of Messi and Ronaldo? you buy 10 jumbo packs and the highest rated player you receive is Ibarbo?

Just needed to vent on this thread.:)
Yep, this totally. It is so unrealistic a team like Roma can beat any team.

Oh, and the coin thing.

It's interesting, and I guess EA Sports are only doing this in order to get more females into buying and playing the game, but if they're going to be on the periphery, I don't see how they'll be used often enough. This is just like when EA Sports introduced the Saudi League and the India national team: it's all to expand the market and get more customers.

In terms of gameplay, I just hope that they make goals rewarding again. Too often do the goals occur due to some stupid goalkeeping, and scoring goals doesn't feel as exciting as it should. I'm also relieved that defending against pacy runners isn't that much of an issue as well, but the shambolic goalkeeping occurs way too often, and it's the way the majority of players score most of their goals.

Don't mind Women's teams. Actually liked the idea and it means finally I can pick Canada in Fifa  :( but Fifa as a game definitely needs improvement in many areas. fifa 16 will be the first fifa in years which I won't buy on day 1

doesn't really bother me as I highly doubt I'll ever use them and I'm genuinely not trying to be sexist or harsh or anything.

But it just sounds like time, effort and money spent on a feature that 90% of FIFA players will use once or twice to see what it's like then go back to playing with the proper teams.

That also being the case because 90%+ of FIFA players are male and watch the male version of Football. As 99% of all Football fans do anyway.

It just seems a little bit like it was done to maybe reduce some of the flak they probably cop from a lot of feminists who flame them for not having women's teams in there / trying to be ultra modern etc.

Time, Effort and money that could have gone into features such as improving actual game play.

I'm sure the female fans would appreciate more if EA spent that time and money on improving the core of their gameplay rather than including the women's teams. It's a nice addition but really feels just a matter of self promotion.

This.

EA Sports are an incredibly lazy Game Developer.

They never seem to actually attempt to improve anything worthwhile, rather just bring out stupid features that they can push in promotions.

I know! For a company that is based in Vancouver, I'm quite surprised that they have the Canada women's team out before the men's team .

Ah well, there's always TFC, Impact, and Whitecaps to pick in friendlies :p.

A while back, I tried FIFA 10 again to see the changes I might not have noticed year by year. It seemed much more enjoyable imo, though it was easier. I could play against the best teams on the highest possible difficulty and still win (though not always) and enjoy myself. Now, I can win games 4-0 and still be frustrated. The players are so annoying while defending; they are impossible to control. They don't press, they just run up to the opposition then stare at them ffs. Tactical defending still annoys me. Maybe I'm just crap at defending but it ruins the game for me. I normally play possession to avoid this but that doesn't work too much either as I'm then always stuck with packed defences. I don't like playing online because of the amount of tools there are online so I'm stuck with the computer. I used to focus on career mode but they definitely seem to focus more on UT now.

My brother's are younger and they still buy it and play with their friends so it's more of a social thing for them but personally, I don't enjoy the game at all. I think it's declined in recent years and they don't really care. I inevitably get sucked back in when I watch a great match and want to play some football but that enthusiasm quickly goes.

We are getting older, there was always a trick to getting a goal from direct corners, whip back post but now its dumb luck. you cant pick one of the best teams without playing the other 2 online it gets boring while when you pick a united or Chelsea you still play the big 3, defending is atrocious, especially the AI on pro clubs which i now find the best part of the game.

The amount of money EA make from UT is unreal. You see these gamers on youtube so tempted that they end up continuously buying fifa points

IMO they should scrap Fifa Street and make it a game mode inside FIFA 15

Desperate? They arent desperate, they are making youtube/twitch dollars. And to find out more on how they make those dollars, click on the link in the description, and dont forget to use the code 'EvilChuck' for 5% off any purchases made

I'm very happy that EA Sports decided to add Tactical Defending, but what's stupid is that so many players still find a way around it so that they do as little proper defending as possible. To actually try to defend with Tactical Defending is very rewarding, but most just set a defensive mentality in order to have the CPU aid them in their defending, and it works even better if you have world class defenders in your team i.e. Pepe, Ramos, Pique, Hummels, etc. as their attributes make it easier to defend with them when compared to Smalling, Rojo, Jones, or Javi Martinez. Plus, many still try a high-pressing approach online, which means that it's difficult to play a slower-paced game.

If EA Sports can find a way to prevent these loopholes, then we can see more players with better defensive skills than players who circumvent Tactical Defending through other means.

It happens every year for me. Each passing year, the period of play just gets shorter.

I wish FIFA's Be A Pro mode could be like its NBA counterpart with interactions with coach and GM etc. Heck, limit it to a few players and a few teams first. Would be fun to be Neymar or Kane or Hazard.

Been saying this for years, just like NBA 2K.
At worst, make it DLC for £5 or something. The reason I don't think they've incorporated it into the normal FIFA yet is, how would they work this and UT. I can imagine people asking for FIFA Street players being put on UT and that wouldn't woke.

When did I say desperate?

So for the people who play Pro Clubs - are you thinking of sticking with FIFA again this year?

I enjoy the Pro Club games, but the game itself has so many annoyances - balls always ricocheting to the opposition, your player artificially slowing down when chasing a through ball just because the keeper is coming out for it, the frequently dumb AI, plus the games where it decides from the first whistle that it is going to finish goalless.

Am curious if people are tempted to switch to Pro Evo and give that a go?

Despite its advances this year, PES just doesn't have a draw for the multiplayer modes for me. I'll always stick to FIFA until I get bored of football games in general.

I only find that clubs is buggy, and yet I'm still always down to play. When I play seasons, other than the occasional scripted feel, FIFA has been pretty flawless for me.

But no, no PES for me and I imagine that'll be unanimous although @DatIrishFella will probably be different...because he's a different sort of guy

I hope they don't make it as an excuse not to include any other new features.

There's no excuse not to have a Corruption mode now.

Actually come to think with the scripting going on in the game and the underhanded tactics people use on UT its probably not needed.

I'll most likely end up buying both of them.

Did you get both this year?

If so what did you think of Pro Evo? I only played the demo but was curious how it measures up.

I did, I love the SP but it gets boring after a while, career mode can no longer hold my interest. The AI is so much better than FIFA though it's laughable. And it's more slower paced, you really need to pass the ball about, no running the pitch constantly, although when you do go on some dazzling runs it actually feels like an accomplishment.

Very nice. Would like to see some details now, like they said.

That trailer offers nothing. Watch the one from last year and it's the same bullshit.

I also love how when Courtois makes that ridiculous save, it then hits the post. EA can't even rid unrealistic rubbish from their trailers, never mind the fecking game.

As with every Fifa trailer it's completely pointless. Half of the animations look completely unrealistic too, like Courtois' dive. and whatever the f*ck Silva did. And this is the stuff they picked out for a trailer.

Gameplay vids and details on changes are the important stuff.

UT ruined the game. It doesn't matter what they do, all the kids will use mum and dad's credit cards ploughing money in and EA end up laughing to the bank every year.
