Gaming Fifa 10

Oh my God, I'm so incredibly good at this game.. just scored a goal after (no exaggeration) 20 connected one-touch passes finishing it off with a Rooney header in off the woodwork. The opponent went absolutely apeshit, started throwing sliding tackles everywhere :lol:

My one-touch passing is practically impossible to defend against when I'm at my best, just sit back and wait for me to score to have the ball back on the spot.
 
having played the demo a bit I have to say fifa on ps3 does have its appeal. What I particularly like is the curl on the shots and the control. You can score all kinds of goals. Graphics wise though fifa is light years behind pes. The players are awfully slim, matchsticks like, and as if made of plastic. AI is also crap. I can see fifa's strongest point being the online, not the single player. Having said that I just ordered my copy from amazon - 23 quid. Not bad. This will be my first fifa since 1999.
 
I've had XBOX live for two years and mine ran out the other month. Since then I can't be fecked to shell out another £35 so I just made a new account and got one month free. Got to level 26 on that account, had a decent record but yeah just recently expired.
 
I'm still getting disconnected in the middle of online games by their shitty excuse for servers.
 
I just won 7-0 in a ranked game, yet my skill points didnt go up by the amount it said, what the feck :(
 
What is the highest skill level you've achieved? I've been ranked at 2900 at best but I don't play too much lately.

Yeah I don't play online too much and I think my max was 20/21. At that level though I just found the games boring, the people who play are so overly cautious that there are feck all goals.
 
God I hate playing against Chelsea... apparently the makers of FIFA10 thought it would be a good idea to engineer Chelsea's stats so that not only can Nemanja Vidic not hold off Ashley Cole at all, but you have to make passes at ridiculous angles because apparently the Chavs are built like sebuetio players and will instantly trap and instantly control any ball that passes within a 5 ft radius of them.
 
The servers are still incredibly shit. I haven't completed a game online in 5 attempts. EA don't give a feck though, they'll patch it once it's out and then do a January update but the server issue will be the same til FIFA 11 and who knows if it'll be fixed then?
 
Finally finished a game online, and it was a great one.

Was a very tight game only split by two wondergoals from me. The first a chip down the right flank to Drogba and a first time volley which dipped into the opposite corner. Think Rodallega earlier in the season for Wigan but better. The second was a Ballack thunderbolt from about 45 yards.
 
your connection problem must lie with your own equipment sol, I haven't encoutered any disconnections since the software upgrade
 

Just scored an exact replica of that goal on online clubs. Even down to where it went on the net and where I was on the pitch. What made it so special was it was a randomly generated donkey.
 
I've just come to the conclusion that I play better with Sunderland than United.

Does anybody know the best team to pick if you like to play simple short-passing one-touch game with lots of possesion and playing yourself into good positions to score?
 
Good shout, can't bring myself to enjoy a win playing with them though.

Arsenal play 4-3-3, I converted them to a 4-4-2 with Arshavin and Eduardo up top, with Walcott and van Persie on the flanks and Cesc with Diaby in the centre.. worked a treat, won 7-2 my first game. Best thing is you have quality to come off the bench in Nasri, Rosicky and Bendtner

edit: second game 5-0, arsenal seem to be easy to score with
 
What are their main threats? Villa, Silva.. ? Much pace? Shit defenders?
 
Chelsea Vs United, I go 2 - 0 down in 20 minutes. I fight my way back to 2 - 2 after 40 mins and begin to take control of the game. Some lag appears from nowhere....'You have been disconnected from the EA Servers".
