They are all listed in the help section, cant remember off hand but i think its in the settings bit on the main menu. Pretty easy to get the star skills to level 5 which helps using your virtual pro early on.

Class mate thanks alot!

How do I even begin getting those? Sounds stupid, but from the 3 minutes of fooling around in the arena I did, I couldn't figure out how to even begin dribbling

Also, people, let's play, the Club ;)

Wii version doesnt have a career mode :(

this makes me a sad walrus

also, players are only rated out of 20 stars, not out of 100. and the transfer system is pretty damn basic in manager mode, or "battle for glory" as they call it.

Hold down the left trigger / L2 and wiggle the right analogue stick.

The list of tricks is in Controller Help, have a look to see if you can find it off of the main menu!

No no, I know how to dribble. I just don't know how to do it in this Virtual Pro business. My super-winger is more of a goalscorer than a dribbler right now.

Stupid game. January transfer window in manager mode I sign a young midfielder for £2m with a rating of 80 which as I'm playing as Cardiff City is 10 points higher than any of my other midfielders. Play through the month and he is majestic, scoring and setting up goals all over the shop. Transfer window shuts and he's gone. With a search I find that the game has given him to Hertha Berlin and put Peter Enckleman in midfield in his place. Stupid game.

I would give anything to know how the feck I find out my WEP key.

Stupid tosser previous housemate has managed to set all this up and remove the sticker off the bottom of the router. Tosser.

SO after a few days of playing, here's my thoughts on the game.

1. It is fantastic, a step up from Fifa 09, and I really think the series has left Pro Evo in its wake this time.

2. Its harder than before. I find the physicality of the game a bit annoying, with players getting so easily knocked off the ball, but I've adapted to that now and am generally managing to shield the ball and lay it off or win the free kick.

3. Some of the ball physics are brilliant. Crossfield passes are much better, and the crossing, while it took me a while to adjust to it is far better, especially deliveries from deeper areas. The free kicks are better as well.

4. I want to stab Andy Gray in the eyes.

5. I am sick of everyone online picking Real Madrid.

6. I'm disappointed with the United squad on it. No real pace, and some of the ratings are utter shit.

7. Having to pay for Live Season sucks, and I won't be doing it.

Really, this is a great game, the best football game I have played.

In MM as Newcastle, got promoted and won the Carling Cup in my first season, finding life in the top flight a bit harder though!

andy gray is a cnut, everytime you play at old trafford they always say how it gets bigger and better and congrats to the architect

cnuts...

He contradicts himself as well, banging on about how the Newcastle support deserve success and are right to be so expectant and then proceeds to berate them for being so impatient.

Twatbag.

What ratings are shit? And we have pace in Valencia (88) and Nani (86?). Thats not to say that there shouldnt have been more pace for Rio and Rooney though.

I'd say aside from maybe Fletcher's ball playing stats, the ratings werent too far off. No football game comes without some dodgy stats though, at least on this version you can change them if you really feel strongly about it. In Fifa 09 you had to play through be a pro mode successfully with your player in order to get him some more points to put in his skills. And then if you used the live season update it would go back to the original stats anyway.

Berba's rating sucks, and when you play with him (not as dodgy as it sounds!) he feels so average.

Maybe that's just my take on the game though.

Berbatov is almost always my man of the match. And aside from his weird response rating, of 91 I believe, I think they pretty much have him nailed on. Cant say I checked his vision and passing stats though, maybe they are a bit low. They dont feel it to me when I've played with him though. He scores a bit too often though thanks to his high reactions.

In fact I've enjoyed more success with Berbatov so far than Rooney. With Berbatov I know I just need to make room for a shot (may need to use the right stick for that) and then use the finesse shot to place an effort. Usually he gets good contact on it and the outcome is a goal or a corner.

I don't know if there are stats I can actually look at for this, but online Berba is my highest scorer - and Carrick is second (he keeps tonking in Berba's knockdowns in the box)

Anyone who uses the finesse shot, should take a long hard look at themselves. Its a pathetic feature of the game.

Legendary. I didn't fanny around on any other difficulty to start off with which is why i lost all my friendlies. I see no point in playing on anything but the hardest setting.

Same here.

Played the full game for the first time last night.

What camera settings does everyone use? I zoom the camera out a little on Tele cam - you can see more of the pitch that way and form better attacking moves.

Loving it so far.

Computer tactic:
Through ball, run forwards, lob keeper, through ball, run forwards, lob keeper, through ball, run forwards, lob keeper. Unrealistic, and boring as feck.

Prefered Fifa 09. Same game but with less idiotic gameplay flaws.

Pro Evo's gonna be where it's at this year. Unless they've cocked it up again.

whats the best team to be (apart from United)
I was Barca on Fifa09 and Etoo just out-pacing every defender....anything similar?

The beta demo I played for about 20 minutes the other day in London was no different to last years offering.

Think this year again its Fifa>Pro.

Shame really, used to love Pro Evo.

Barca are great in this as well Paz - I love the 4-3-3 formation and score some great goals with them.

Barca it is then...I transferred Zlatan to Barca (and obviously got rid of Etoo as in real life) and Zlatan was sooo slow...was painful...I am an amateur so thru balls and running onto them is one of my main tactics :(
maybe stick messi or henry up top?

Messi is vital on the wing mate. I play with Henry and Messi on the wings and Bojan through the middle as he's pretty quick.

I don't like Zlatan myself but he's great at holding up the ball for the supporting wingers to get onto.

Ibra is a goal machine for me online. Nobody seems to be able to tackle him when running with just L1 and low finesse shots just roll in, same with Messi. Beat some fecker 7-0 last night with those two

 thanks for the insight lads
my copy should be waiting at home from Amazon, I'll give it a shot tonight and let you know how I get on :)

You'll be luckier than me then.

I ordered mine on Saturday morning and even paid the extra £1.50 for First Class postage.

I thought if it didn't come Monday it would definitely come today. Nope. Useless feckers.

I ordered on Friday and got the dispatch email on Sunday, my mate did exactly the same and he has it at home (arrived in the post, he says), so I am hoping mine has too :D

They only dispatched mine on Monday.
