Ive been silent about him all season, but im afraid my frustration has boiled over. I EXPECTED a whole lot more from Veron this season. Not just because of his price tag, but because of who he is, who he's played for, all the big matches he's played in. The man is capable of so much more.
This season we've seen a world-class player in maybe 5 or 6 matches. The rest of the matches he constantly gives the ball away and looks dis-interested. I thought passing was meant to be his main strength? He should try taking lessons from Keano on how to keep the ball, even if it only means passing it 5 yards.
If we'd wanted a Matt LeTissier clone we could have got the real thing for a fraction of the price, and he would have played the same.
I know, you'll all jump on the bandwagon and have a go at me for this but im one of few on here who constantly supports Gary Neville. A lot of the people who are now 'supporting' Veron are people who were calling for Gazz's head. Is it because he cost more and is a 'superstar' that youre prepared to back him more?
By the way, if he stays next year and plays a blinder i'll eat humble pie and my hat.
