DJS said:Did you think you'd finish 3rd this year?
Murt said:I wasnt that confident that wed win the title, i reckoned Arsenal, spurred on by the previous yrs disappointment would be a good bet, like what well be next season.
I expected us to be a lot closer at the end, i hadnt accounted for the whole Rio & M&M farces.
I never had the slightest doubt about who the top three would be though, as i doubt many do concerning next season either.
DJS said:Yes i do. Nice try, but your Sky Generation membership is highly transparent.
DJS said:Did you think you'd finish 3rd this year?
VanNistlerater said:Yes Your right.
Murt said:I reckoned it was a distinct possibility, all depending on how Chelsea would do. I never doubted that wed finish below 3rd.
Did you think the dippers would finish in the top three? Do you think they will next season?
DJS said:I know. And no amount of bad grammar or attempted reverse psychology will change that.
VanNistlerater said:
And you have the nerve to call us arrogant? When you cannot admit that my sarcasm went straight over your (probably) fat and (most likely) balding head?
DJS said:
I know you're a bit thick, but this is hilarious.
Did you think you'd finish 3rd this year? Just yes or no.
Give it a try - there's a good lad.
DJS said:So you did think you'd finish 3rd. What has happened to make you think you'll be so much better next year?
As for me, i wouldnt be daft enough to speculate until i've seen what happens over the summer.
Re_Deus said:Gerrard is as good as Keane ever was. In fact, he's better. He has everything Keane had and more - the only thing he lacks is good teammates, which Keane has always had. .........
But Keane in his pomp and Gerrard of today is a good comparasion, one which Gerrard still shades IMO. The quality of his passing, his crossing, vision and versatility is superior to Keane even in his heyday. And he has all of Keane's desire, effort and engine.
Re_Deus said:However, if Gerrard is to attain true greatness, I think he's going to have to leave Liverpool, especially if the scousers continue in being so far behind the big 3.
JJ_Batchelor said:Gerrard is the new Bryan Robson. Footballing giant in a mediocre team.
Murt said:Why has he bought Bellion.
Davo said:You really need someone of his ability....
Keane16 said:not as much as you need someone of his ability.
If he leaves, you lot are screwed.

Davo said:True
We've got someone of his ability mind...and he ain't going anywhere
JazzG said:He doesn't say Gerrard is better than Vieira, he says more influential. I agree because unlike Gerrard Vieira is playing with good players but Gerrard is playing with decent players who have under-performed most of the season.
An Extremely Boring Man said:If you continue being an also-ran, as you've been throughout his career, he will son feck off.
Barcelona have started getting very interested in him
Davo said:True

Keane16 said:They all say that. Even Gerrard Houllier - but that not true is it?
Davo said:Eh?
You think he's leaving then?
An Extremely Boring Man said:If Liverpool don't put in a title challenge soon, I reckon he'll be gone in two years time.
Davo said:Excellent
King Gerrard's here for life then
Houllier, yes.Davo said:Eh?
You think he's leaving then?
Keane16 said:Houllier, yes.
Gerrard, hopefully not far.
JJ_Batchelor said:I would grudingly agree with that.
As Fergie mentioned, Gerrard is a Keane and I think he did not mean in terms of footballing ability but in the way they influenced things around them. It's the same with Vieira. I think Fergie meant that in terms of influence, Vieira and Gerrard are equal but the latter is a better footballer. That's my interpretation anyway.
In terms of footballing ability, even the most bitter Man Uted fan would have to agree that Gerrard's got more chink in his armour than Keane had in his heyday.
Gerrard is the new Bryan Robson. Footballing giant in a mediocre team.
Davo said:Gerrard won't be going anywhere.
RedPhil1957 said:Gerrard at present is a good player
Keane16 said:You're lashing that one in as many posts as possible - you must be worried.
RedPhil1957 said:Gerrard at present is a good player playing at his best in a poor side but in the same class as Robbo, Keane your must be joking he might get close to that standard if he keeps improving and moves to a top team, but not at Pool unless they change their manager.
Keane16 said:To be fair, the performance he gave on Saturday was worthy of Keane in his prime - but Keano gave them every week for years against all sorts .
Keane16 said:To be fair, the performance he gave on Saturday was worthy of Keane in his prime - but Keano gave them every week for years against all sorts (and still does occasionally), Gerrard doesn't. Well, not yet anyway.
That consistancy is not easy to achieve.
JJ_Batchelor said:Gerrard was very very good against Birmingham too. The last bad game I've reckon he's had was against Arsenal. Even then, he was Liverpools best player.
Davo said:Great pass for Owen's goal wasn't it?
