Urgate looks more like a central defender to me than a central midfielder. He can defend, but he has no creativity.

I see shades of Carrick at times. Decent on the ball but nothing incredible like a Scholes or Kroos. He'll never be that as the CDM. But in the few games he's played he does show diligence when getting back for opposition counters.

I usually back new signings and give them at least a year before judging, but Zirkzee sure does make that really difficult. It is not just the lack of quality, it is more the carelessness. He genuinely seems to hate playing football to the point where it far exceeds Martial's disinterest in games.

He's been shocking off the ball tonight and as bad as I've seen from him. He's just never where he's supposed to be and basically pretending to press.

Ten Hag and the team should be giving him a rocket every time he doesn’t press. Drives me mad looking at him miles away from pressing down his side, usually he’s not even in the camera shot.

Really worried about Zirkzee. He’s a mile off it, was behind Weghorst in the pecking order at the Euros.

A big man that is so weak in the duel, limp press, not great finishing, little to no predatory instincts.

His only asset seems to be link play, but the pace of the game always seems to pass him by

Yeah I was really pleased with us buying him as I appreciated his quality at Bologna under Motta, but he clearly needs to find another level of intensity at this point. It's fine not being some Cavani esque predatory box striker, but every action of his is so lax that it makes him very easy to deal with for defenders. I don't think I've ever seen him sprint either on or off the ball. That has to change or he'll be swiftly shipped out.

We look so poor in so many areas, we really don't support the man on the ball when trying to play out from the back, instead we do basic positioning that Fenerbahce have done a good job of cutting off and closing down so we've been forced to go long and lost it nearly every time. Defensively we look happy to sit off them which makes sense when you see how disjointed our press looks on the odd occasion we do try and do it, but even sat off them we're too easy to play through and better decision making on their part or barring a world class block and save from us we would be behind.

Hope to see some personnel/tactical changes at half time otherwise the second half will probably look the same and it's going to take a big slice of luck to hang on.

It was good tbh but nothing really. His back was basically turned to the goal, shooting there would have been a big gamble.

I was thinking this as well. He's really not been great all round, but the time we needed that 1 bit of heads up, unselfish play and he did it really well. Its not enough to say he's had a good half, but saying its the worst 45 minutes a United striker has ever had is rediculous, the guy had a key pass in the build up to set Garnacho off then the assist at the end.
