When we signed him I was totally against it. Negative against everything connected to David Moyes. His first season was crap, like everything else at that time. He was the perfect scapegoat.

After a while LvG made him useful in a 4141 system that suited him perfectly. Mourinho also found a place for him and suddenly he contributed in a positive way, especially when we needed presence up front and in set pieces.

Great character and his winning mentality is among the best in our squad. From what I seen he sounds nice and humble. Nothing to dislike.

I have nothing against him. Actually I started to like what he can bring to the table. Not everyone’s cup of tea but as squad player I think he’s a very useful option.

If he leaves I wish him the best! If he stays I have nothing against him and I prefer to remeber the good times. Win and win situation from my perspective.

Totally agreed. He is a very good squad player to have when we're trailing in a game and we can't get through otherwise. He most definitely shouldn't be first choice in our team, nor should he even play in most games. But, he can be a very useful player to have in the squad.

I've no problem with Fellaini at all. He always tried and fulfilled his contract, good luck to him.
I don't think anybody has anything personal against Fellaini, it's just he should be NOWHERE near a club like ours. Not even as a 'decent' squad player. Real Madrid have just won 3 champions leagues in a row, do you think he would get anywhere near their squad? Not a hope in hell!

Manchester United should be dining at the same table as Real, as we used to. The fact we no longer do, shows just how far we have fallen when we have a manager desperate to keep a player like Fellaini, and half our fans describing him as a 'decent' squad player or option for pumping balls to. We are not Stoke ffs, and we can't even cross the ball to make that a viable tactic anyway..

Everton standard player
Moyes type player

He'll find a mid table club somewhere else no problem

He can be a good squad option but not for that particular use. He's just not very effective at turning games around.

Completely agree! When you look at the players that we need to move on and they're only being valued at £15m-£30m that is indicative of the quality we have. Other clubs are selling their players for £40m+. It's embarrassing having Fellaini as a plan B. We need to be having real quality in depth like Real to compete. No offence to the guy but Fellaini (and others) need to go.

I find it hilarious that he is trying to hold us to ransom despite having nobody else interested in his services to literally the last day.

He's been allowed to negotiate since January. Surely he'd have signed and sealed some other deal by now?

He’s just a money grabber and no one else is stupid enough to offer the wages United are paying him. That is why we struggle to offload any of our crap squad players.

Well put. Agree wholeheartedly

How is he holding anyone to ransom? He's completing his contract as agreed. At the end of a contract both parties are free to do as they wish.

I meant with his renewal. We've offered him a new one on our terms ages ago, but he hasn't signed it because he felt he could do better. Turns out he couldn't.

If he wants to remain employed, he'd best think about our offer again (unless we've pulled the plug)

Looks to me like he’s priced himself out of a move. I fully expect him to resign with us.

Spot on! Love the big man, myself.

He's a good guy, just trying to take care of himself which is not a problem in my eyes. He'll be a handful to play against but I think his time at this club has come to end. Wish him well, if this proves to be the case.

As popular as ever. feck those fans.

A guy who works with me went to the final (14 hour train journey out, cancelled Ryanair flight back) and he saw Fellaini and just asked him for a pic... some Liverpool fans aren't tits, but lots are and the hypocrisy in the media is mindboggling.

United fans do this, headlines. Jose singing at 6am after losing, headlines. United players ignoring their goalie, headlines, United fans starting a petition against Ramos, headlines? Amazing.

On Fellaini, he's always been a Marmite player .... for me, never more than a squad player and when on, he slows the play down. With the players we've got, we can't lose the pace so thanks Marouanne, good luck.

That's not true. He offers something different to what Fred does; something that Jose uses and appreciates.
Very different players of course, but Fellaini will find it even more difficult to get game time next season. He isn't going to be first pick in midfield, but is reportedly unhappy about his lack of opportunities.

He can be quite useful at controlling long aerial balls, especially if we have players that can create around him from his knock downs.

He has very good chest control yes. But he's not effective as a plan B in games we are trailing.

I'd agree with this.

I can't remember too many times when we've stuck him on for the last 20 minutes to lump the ball to, and it's actually worked. The recent Arsenal game at home is a very very rare occasion.

I'm desperate for him to go.

Yeah the Arsenal game is the first time we've stuck him on late in a game we were not winning and he's actually scored, last season he came on as a sub against Anderlect and assisted for Rashford to score.

In 5 years at United those are the only two occasions he's been brought on late in a game and directly affected the match to turn a game around. And yet there are loads of people who still say he's a great Plan B. He isn't the fact the last 2 managers have continually used him in that role has in my opinion been to the detriment of United and even Fellaini himself to an extent.

Hope he fecks off to be honest. Decent enough option on his day, but him "considering his options" when offered a contract by United is like Susan Boyle having to think about a date with Channing Tatum.

Big fecking oaf should do some soul searching.
