FC Bayern 17/18 discussion

Serge Gnabry is on loan to Hoffenheim for the season. Good move, I think.

He should have just signed for Hoffenheim from the get go.
I'm afraid this is a sign of things to come. Top clubs will buy more talent than they need and 'lease' them out for two, three-year loan deals or with buy-back clauses. Case of rich getting richer, although Bayern wouldn't mind.

No - I think he did the right thing. He needed a step between Bremen and Bayern - but playing is after the wasted years after his injury the main thing for him. Like this he already has his foot in the door at Bayern and the chances for him will be bigger and better to succeed with this year in Hoffenheim and Robbery that then are really gone or in their last season. It should be the last season for both right now - Arjen for sure things about it.

The offer with Bayern might not come a year later - like this he is already manifested in the team and it is one buy less Bayern will make next season.

He is not good enough to replace Robben or Ribery . Hoffenheim is more his level.

Sure? He carried that Bremen offense alone last season until his injury - and he only had the experience of a Arsenal youngster with 2 years nearly out before that. He did all the decisive goals especially in away matches. All of this kids are hugely talented but often it is that mentality that makes the difference. He still has time to improve. Some stay on their 18-year-level - some rise from that.

Let's wait and see - after his time out after that big knee injury he then used the chance Hrubesch gave him at the Olympic Games - it tells something if you use your chances.

I just think that it is too early to tell. Nagelsmann is a good developer for young players - especially tactically. I like how smart he now goes his way. Nobody at Bayern wanted him to go on loan - it is him who is doing his career move. He seems to think that the career move now is still to big and with an Ancelotti on the steering wheels and Robbery still available he does not have enough standing to get enough match time - especially if all stay healthy - so he is doing a more safe path.

Hoffenheim might be his level now - I doubt we already know what his top level might be. He might not have the craziness of Ribery or the speed of Robben - but there is many ways to be good.

I am normally not into this youngster hyping - but I guess Evina might be a name to notice for the future...

Absolutely he has been great for the u17 and I have high hopes for him and even more for Batista-Meier. Götze has also developed into a fine CB and Früchtl seems to be a GK talent too. Then there is also Tillman amongst others like Fein and Friedl.

Evina will skip U19 and directly play for the reserves while training with the team. Just 17, but physically already well developed a little bit like a baby Sanchez. Would be great to see him given opportunities.

The bavarian talent drought will soon be over.

Yes - broke his foot in the Real match.

That offside 2:0 that was no offside was a nice one.

James looks completely exhausted . Really don't envy those players.

The offside goal...

I start to really like how Tolisso plays. He will be a great addition.
