Favourite United Player Who Wasn't That Good

Yes he has his flaws but he was a very good player on his day.

So yea Anderson and Herrera were my fav and I believe they were good players, but is just that I'm disappointed at the fact were, they never developed into great footballers.

Heinze without a doubt.

He always looked happy out there and was willing to throw himself at everything. He was eventually replaced by Evra and Vidic who were a class above him, but man he was always fun to watch.

Gabriel Heinze too, always loved his effort was a dedicated pro until that Liverpool nonsense he pulled...

Veron. Class player just didn’t fit the system at the time, unfortunately he was ahead of his time with United. When we signed him I felt like we would take our game to the next level and win the Champions League, didn’t happen until after he left.

Lee Sharpe. There was a tiny window of time when I thought he was the next big thing. Which then didn't happen of course and then came Giggsy who turned out to be everything that I thought Lee Sharpe was going to be.

Darron Gibson, John O'Shea, David May, Keith Gillespie and Macheda

In terms of academy players that never made it at the club: Lee O’Connor, Ethan Laird, Nishan Burkart, Etzaz Hussain, Davide Petrucci. Angel Gomes my favourite but looking at the careers these players have had so far you can’t say Gomes isn’t a good player.

I know he was on loan but I wished Radamel Falcao was the player we saw at Atletico. By the time he came here he was finished.
I came here to say him, and I'm surprised you were the only one who mentioned him!

Falcao was a great striker, but it's fair to say he was bad for us. Understandable, considering he was recovering from that ACL injury, but a shame because he did return to fantastic form a couple of seasons later. He scored over(?) 30 goals again, and put in great performances like this one away to City in the 16/17 season:

That Falcao alongside a motivated Di María is what we were all dreaming of back in 2014. Regardless, he always gave 100% and came off as a very likable guy. It's why he got such a great reception when Rayo Vallecano came to Old Trafford for a friendly a couple of years ago, and he still thinks fondly of us despite struggling here unlike Di María.

Loved his iconic celebration too.....shame we didn't get to see him tear it up at OT.
