I remember the commentators saying how Ven de Ven and Romero are one of the best CB partnerships when Spurs were playing Luton and thinking "chill out, mate... They're playing a squad mainly filled with championship quality".

Now look at them... They make United's defence look like prime Milan :lol:
 
Gaining more points on my rival who's got Van de Ven in his team. Thought he'd be a wiseass and get some Spuds doublers :lol:

Every player has returned bar Gusto but Gusto returning to the team means I save a -4 next week.
 
Son is the first player to score in 4 successive aways at Anfield wow!

Our whole team barely score there!!

I've learnt with this game you have to make hay while the sun shines because you sure as hell will be getting Haalanded next GW.
 
114 points all out. Normally would be ecstatic but all my main rivals have similar points. At least I'll be green for the OR.
 
What defence are people going with for the DGW? I just realised I never played my WC even though I was sure I did about 30 weeks ago.

Are there defenders with a DGW that people are looking at? Far as I can tell, I'm just better off sticking with Gabriel, Saliba and Reguilon and keeping them for GW 38.

I've got six players (Foden, Palmer, Son, Gordon, Haaland, Isak) with DGWs in front of them.
 
77 with three united to play. So will be looking at about 80 all out. Absolutely cursing my foden cappa call.

Gvardiol looks must have. Got one assist and was unlucky not to be smothered in more points.
Always Pep routlette risk though.

You get 2 each season, first expires after GW19 and that's when the 2nd is activated, so you can never stack and carry forward.

As for defenders, I had a plan to bring in Schar for Arse defence but that's gone t the dogs, so I'd second the Gvardiol shout if you are happy to play Pep roulette - he's featured in most games recently. Also, Gusto if news comes in he's fit for both games but seeing as how that other youngster is doing well, might also be a risk.

Thanks mate. Yeah, Pep Roulette has absolutely fecked me this season.

I'd have thought he'd stop now that they're out of the Champions League, but I'm not sure he has?

Maybe it would have been handy to realise there was a second one earlier on. feck knows how many points that has cost me.

I'll probably be shipping Gusto and Solanke and bringing in Gvardiol and Jackson for a free double and play the BB

Ahh, forgot about Jackson. Thanks for that. I've got feck all money left so I've chosen Dubravka over Petrovic for the same price as I already have Gusto, Palmer and now Jackson. Gusto might be handy for the bench boost next week.

Yeah I'm using my second WC. Anyway, I've changed Dubravka to Petkovic now because it appears Nick Pope is back in training and might displace Dubravka before the end of the season. I've sold Gusto and brought in Doughty. I now have exactly 0.0 left.

I'm worried about Gvardiol but it's probably a safe team to go with.

Glad you didn't go the Gusto route - I have him currently, but he has to go, as there's very little chance he plays both surely.

You could probably get a couple more doublers into that defence too in fairness.

I had initially said about Saka to Bruno but of course you're WC not BB so would have a real arse of a benching decision in the front 8.
