Toney benched and Watkins back. Toney has looked poor last few weeks but I thought I'd give him a week more to bring some points in. Ah well.

How the feck does Haaland get 2 bps for that tap in?

Goal scored by forward +24
Winning goal +3
60+ mins +6
Big chance created +3
Recovery +1
Key pass +1
Dribbles +1
Big chance missed -3
Tackled -3

Total: 33 BPS

None of the others were close.

Cheers. What qualifies as a winning goal then? The one that takes the score past a draw? I don't really understand that. It was 2-1 when he scored. Game ended 4-2. KDB scored last.

Great start. Akanji on at half time for a 1 pointer. Foden with a zero and Toney benched now.

Always a gamble with City defenders or players in general but I didn't know who else to go for once I'd made my mind up that I wanted Doughty out. Akanji had started 7 out of the last 8 and City's fixtures look good. They also have a double GW to come.

Was looking at Liverpool defenders too but they're another without many nailed players outside of Van Dijk. TAA will be back soon, Bradley, Konate and Robertson have all been in and out of the starting xi the past few weeks. Gomez could lose his place at any time.

Third plan was to bring in a random Brentford defender as they have good fixtures until the end of the season by and large, and just play whoever I thought had the best clean sheet chance of Brentford, Everton (Branthwaite) and Brighton (van Hecke) alongside Gabriel and Saliba each week.

Then there was the Ait-Nouri hype train this week.

Maybe I should have just stuck with Doughty.

If no-one else will...i'll field this one.

It's the goal that...wins the game.

:wenger:

I suspected KdB might do well today but he's just too hit and miss in this game.

One of Salah's customary goals against us should best the Yeti, even though he somehow scammed 2 BPs. At least Foden blanked

Sigh. So what I said then. Don't think I've ever heard anyone say the 3rd goal in a 4-2 result is the "winning goal" before but whatever. At least now I know.

Did you for some reason think that a goal only counts as a winning when it's a level score?
Why wouldn't the 3rd in a 4-2 eventual win be considered the winner?

I understand that way of thinking to a degree. Teams or players will often be referred to as having scored a winner if the game is tied and someone scores, especially if it's a late goal that makes the difference.

Nobody really talks about who scored the winner in other circumstances although it still actually is the winning goal in the end.

In some ways the 2nd in a 2-0 win or 3rd in a 3-1 win feel more significant or important than the other goals too. They're the ones that tend to wrap up the victory and make the fans the happiest of the goals that were scored. They feel like bigger moments, especially if they're late goals once again.

Yes this is only for retrospective reasoning and the only way the game could work.
You won't tend to hear a commentator calling a goal like today's 3rd the "winner" after the game.

Gordon and Isak stinking up the place while my ML mate forgets to change his team and retains KDB.

Muniz looking a bad call to start, Neto conceding at least keeps the other keeper with a chance of being a success!

Could have saved myself the Watkins to Haaland transfer and got more points and budget. Karma.

I've dropped from 600,000 to 1,200,000 in the last 4-5 weeks and gotten just about every single decision wrong. Fortunately, I've just sold Watkins and bought Solanke, so at least something has finally worked out!

EDIT: feck me, just realised I've missed out on Reguilon's 7 points as I had him last on the bench. Plus Foden didn't play. feck knows where I'm going to be after this gameweek.

10 points from 5 players...will probably lose the lead in my work league because of this disaster :(

Doughty has gone to absolute shit recently! Thinking to bring in Bradley but knowing my luck he won’t start…

I brought in Branthwaite for his home fixtures and still benched him today.

At least he's only getting the 6 and no BPs. Need Gusto or Udogie to not play.

He's the new feckin troll in a long line of trolls. Red card, benched, 2 assists. cnut. Need him next week but he'll do feck all. Also what's up with Toney? Do I play him next week or what?
I'm sure Toney will be back in the team. But I see your frustration. My rival had Branthwaite and Dubs today. There's no way I'm catching him. Every week he gets another few points ahead.

Similar, knew the risk, but thought my starting 3 were a better bet, and gives me another week 34 doubler, albeit one game v Liverpool which is a guaranteed loss.
