City defenders are not that attacking so you're not missing much unless one of them scores. I'm not bothered by that at all.

I had Mitoma for ages but I remember he was outperforming his xI for ages then balanced out the back end of the season. He's still good and safest way into Brighton but their fixtures aren't great beyond the first 2-3 games.

I will stick with Maddison simply because with or without Kane, they will still be an attacking team but now thinking of Richard Allison is a better pick... The 0.5 saved would allow me to jump from Jackson to Watkins.

I'm my current draft I can't get Watkins unless I drop someone by 0.5. easiest switch now is Maddison to Richarlison or a 6.5.

Or Onana to Pickford.

But Watkins is such a boring pick and Jackson seems more fun.
 
The prospect of Kane actually staying is now another confusing situation. I was hoping he was gone so I could write off that draft.

I'd rather go with my Kane draft than my Salah one really.
 
Does anyone expect Sanchez to start for Chelsea from the get go? Kepa looks linked to Bayern.. Just wondering if he's better value than Onana.
 
Anybody followed City‘s pre-season? Wonder if Alvarez is a decent option - even as a sub. Alternative for me would be Pedro and upgrade either Jackson or my defense.

Rarely play four defenders myself. And if only if one is known for his attacking output. Chillwell is nice but I don‘t really think Chelsea will score a lot so questionable if he‘s getting that many points.

That’s actually not a bad team. If you downgrade Stones to a 4.5 you can use that to fund Jackson to Watkins or Diaby to Maddison.

I liked the look of Joao Pedro in pre-season and Brighton have a very nice openin 2 fixtures, so I would drop Stones to a 4.5 defender and go McAtee to Pedro.

If nothing unexpected happens, I think i've settled for the following Team:

Onana
Stones Gabriel Estu
Salah Saka Mitoma Garnacho Rashford
Haaland Jackson

Bench: Areola, Cash, Baldock, Balogun

Plan is to roll transfer and Captain Salah in GW2 and then see what to do with 2 Transfers after we got more Informations about Teams/Starters/Form etc.
Could easily downgrade Salah to a 7-9m midfielder and upgrade somewhere else.
 
This is fecking hard this year.

Jota and Mitoma or Richarlison and Maddison.

surely the former is the safer bet, but wonder if spurs will surprise people with or without kane

Similar to mine except I have no Salah but have Bruno and Eze in midfield, plus Trent and Shaw in defence and Pope in net.

Not that similar then really but I’d go for something like yours if I were to get Salah in, which is a very tough choice at the moment.

Do we think kdb starts tomorrow?! I'm holding a couple of mill back so that I can upgrade Saka/Bruno to him if he starts strong.

Yeah that's the main downside but I can do that in two moves. Given Pedro is on pens and cheaper it makes more sense to have him at the start and judge after that.

Yeah it's a really tough choice...Salah Draft or not.

My non salah draft would look like:

Onana
Stones Gabriel Estu
Saka Odegaard Bruno Rashy LuisDiaz
Jackson Haaland

Bench: Areola, Baldock, Bell, 4.5m fodder

But main reason for me to go with my Salah Draft is Liverpools Home game vs Bournemouth and the chance to captain him for that game.
Afterwards chances are good that I sell him asap to spread the funds around a bit more balanced.
 
The Kane situation has really dented my confidence in Maddison. Until that, I was locked and loaded.

I just don't want any of the £6.5m mids because they're boring and Richarlison might or might not play, too unsure.

Might actually think about Diaz...

Yeah I think you're right. Diaz goal involvement over pre-season has not exactly been great either.

Maybe it will be a £6.5m after all. Mitoma the front runner.

It's what FFScout has and very similar to what I have currently as well. I have Rashford, Mitoma and Saliba to your Martinelli, Gabriel and Eze.

I'd love to have Martinelli in team(and I had him in my team for the whole season last time around) but I just don't think his minutes are guaranteed anymore because of Trossard. Mitoma could easily be Eze but I just preferred the home banker against the relegation candidates rather than away with Eze.

They’re also very good options, I really want to get Rashford in there but means messing about too much. I’m debating whether or not to change it again and swap Jackson for Darwin Núñez. :lol:

That's when you know you need to take a break. Havertz and Nunez are the sort of players you should stay away from at least until they show they are capable of playing well for more than 1 game. I had Nunez for like 5-6 games last time around after the WC, dude could have had like close to 7 or 8 goals in that time and he scored none. I wouldn't even think of touching him with a barge pole.
 
Richarlson is the play then. Hes the only CF esque player they have.
