fecking Bowen ruined a week where all other 6 attackers returned.

72 in the end. Meh.
@Dirty Schwein you know what to do
Can't believe I have to do this to my own deputy but no one is above the law.

@Moby you are under arrest. Come out peacefully or I will use deadly force.

Yup, soon as I know if SK are still in it, Neto is back in the team.

Might enable Son, Haaland and TAA

54 in the end. Yukh

Could have been worse. 50 points with captaincy stuck on Palmer and no transfers made. Didn't know there were midweek matches until it was too late.

Not many of the more popular players absolutely hauling.

Unreal Garnacho ended up with 1 point only. Don't think I've seen him have more chances of assists, only to blown by others. One goal disallowed when the player did onion bag it.

Oh well, won my work cup game by 1 point. Tighter than I liked as he had Solanke with 8

Going to have to watch the next city game from behind the sofa.

Going to hold off bringing in Haaland for one more week :nervous:

Lineup:

Leno
Botman - Porto - Andersen
Olise - KDB - Gordon - Palmer Richarlison

Got Haaland - Watkins - Solanke as well

Not sure who to bench
One midfielder or striker

Thoughts?

Ye but he just played a great game and in form
So is everyone else and it's a headache that can backfire but you took it one when you picked 8 attackers. I will likely be benching one of Foden, Saka or Bowen this week as well but that's what it is. I wouldn't bench any of those other players over Olise. But it's obviously not obvious

Foden as a popular choice or Bernardo as a possible nice differential ? I’m leaning towards Bernardo. Any piece of advice will be helpful.

There are so many variables that decide whether Foden is a good or a bad pick that's why I just got him and got the headache out of the way, but I am worried he could get benched in one of the games for KDB. But to think here,

He went out wide with Lewis inverting, but if Walker comes back he will be more central
If KDB is benched he would surely be playing through the middle, but then again it also depends if Haaland is starting or not. If it's just Alvarez up front that's when he's looked at his best, playing as a front two with him. But if Haaland comes back then it could be back to the early season setup where Foden was deeper and Alvarez playing behind Haaland. So yeah overall Foden should be fine but maybe wait for the presser.

Silva was mildly interesting when he was as nailed as Rodri and could get forward at times but he got subbed vs Spurs I think then benched vs Burnley and they don't have a lot of these big games where Pep likes him, maybe the Chelsea one, but with less minutes he's a no go, not enough ceiling there to replace a mid in the team.

Yeah, heart says Bernardo but brain says Foden. I’m just afraid that Bernardo will start as he was rested last game against Burnley and Foden could be rested as he started practically every game recently. Also, Bernardo is considerably cheaper which allows me to manevare my budget once I decide to bring big boys back (Haaland, Salah etc.). Maybe Rodri was more nailed on option, he can also be a goal threat whenever their opponent sits too deep.

Bus team right now:

Dubravka (Pickford)
Estupinan, Burn, Porro (TAA!, Zinch)
Palmer(V), Richarlison, Foden, Garnacho (Saka!)
Haaland(C), Watkins, Solanke

3,5M ITB

Benching headaches all over the place, but I like the team.

Thoughts on bench and captaincy?

I need the Aussies to get back Son in my team.

Off to my super glamorous freezing cold 6pm Friday track sesh soon, but will leave this with perhaps the finest fantasy footy minds out there (aka you lot)

Dubravka
Gabriel Estu Trippier
Saka Palmer KDB Luiz Garnacho
Watkins Alvarez

Areola Archer Maguire Lascelles

13.4m in the bank

Basically are we doing Alvarez or Archer to Haaland? The former allows a lot more surgery, the latter leaves only 3.8m in the bank.

if you can do Alvarez to Haaland directly and it helps other moves do it

Korea get a pen in the 4th minute of added time to equalise after Australia missed an open goal for 2-0.

fecking FPL is leaking

I mean is that even a question? Archer can't even get into the Sheffield United first 11 now. Bin him and reassess the Alvarez situation after this gw.

Pep doesn’t like Bernardo in big games? Think you’ve got that completely wrong.
He’s nailed on for the big games. Grealish is completely out of favour and Doku isn’t ready yet and they’ve never started a game together . Rest of the season their first choice will be Rodri, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Foden/Alvarez, Haaland.

Risk backfired last week, but am playing catch up this season. The dice roll this week is JP/Saka out for Gordon/Hojlund. A bit mad perhaps after Saka looked closer to goal in the last game, but need a big few weeks and I think these two can get off with a bang this week and have decent fixtures afterwards.

Dubravka (Areola)

Porro Gusto Estupinan (TAA, Doughty)
Bernardo de Bruyne Jota Richarlison Gordon
Hojlund Haaland (Darwin)

It feels like a strong team, with the glaring admission being Palmer, but have to start to whittle down the blankers for 26 instead of bringing more in.

Salah coming back for Burnley will be a big spanner too, but might just have to go with the three I have got for the potential double and hope for the best.

3.8 is still a lot and with a city double on the horizon... Keep Alvarez and then downgrade him after the double.

Archer to Haaland is a great move. Keeps Alvarez for insurance this week and lots you can still do with the change in coming weeks

Lucky you, my IT bands are fecked so limited atm.

Archer for me … he’s crap, his team are crap and you’d still have a few £m left? Rest of first XI look fine so it’s just two defenders… few £m should be enough?

Sold TAA and Son for Trippier and Gordon (c). Still have Colwill injured, Bowen wasteman and no Toney.

At least I have enough money to go Archer to Haaland.

Why do you have Archer over Solanke anyway (especially with so much cash ITB - I know it’s Salah/son/haaland)? Should really be Alvarez to Haaland. Though I myself have been toying with Watkins to Haaland until he was on last chance saloon and returned this weekend past.

I still have all my chips. My dilemma is Garnacho has been a dud since I bought him, Bowen I’ve owned since the start but he’s blanked recently and I need to get Haaland back (for Alvarez). Thinking is to get Gordon and KdB/Richarlison in for Garnacho and Bowen. Plus the Haaland move.

Is it a good time to bring Haaland back? I assume Alvarez drops to the bench? I don’t want to take a hit but I also don’t think “just” 3-4 transfers is enough to play a WC chip. Any advice would be appreciated @Dirty Schwein @whoever @CassiusClaymore @Moby

I'm not sure if it's worth panicking with Garnacho. Depends what your long term strategy is but he should be a great enabler at 4.8m for bringing the like of Salah/Son/KDB/Haaland back in. He'll be your 8th choice most weeks but can return any game really and he's nailed. We have decent fixtures with finally our best 11 and attacking players starting to click together

That’s some good feedback Cutch, thank you. I guess the “other” enablers aren’t too expensive either: Gordon, Palmer (I don’t have Gordon) and Hee Chan when he returns….but I get your point. Can’t own them all…

Garnacho is bench player, don't worry about him. Most players are bringing Haaland back so if you wanna keep up, I would recommend it. I would personally keep Alvarez until the double is done. Ignore Richarlison, Spurs have a couple of blanks potentially.
