De Bruyne returns to City's bench and will presumably be starting their next GW vs Newcastle in 2 weeks. Obvious Salah replacement? (I only have 2 City players)
Hmmm. I think his minutes will be managed for a while and with a long lay off there's always a risk of hammies and stuff going if you push too fast too early.

I have Palmer but Doughty third on my bench and Gusto, with 0 points, second on my bench.
For a Luton defender, Doughty in undoubtedly the best pick, one of the better defensive picks towards the bottom of the table.
Brought in Gusto for Bailey last minute and don't have Palmer as one of the only ones in my mini league, great start to the GW.

People said his injury is a 5/6 week one when it was first announced. I was sceptical but it sure looks like it now.

Finally Alvarez and Foden. Both the transfers this week have worked out. Threw out Saka for Foden so need him to do feck all like he has been for the past 5 or 6 games and need Alvarez to score another.

Some guy in my ML who's been absolutely nowhere all season is on 71 already. Captained Watkins, has Foden and Alvarez, Cunha and has bench boost with Palmer, Estu on it. Could hit well over 100 points. Crazy.
These clowns have settled for 2-0. Ultimately this is a massive let-down.

Last time my captain scored was when Salah came in for Haaland. Before that... it was GW12. I've had assists but no goal for months.
My captain picks have been my weak spot all season. Last season captaining Wilson for that 22 DGW won me the ML but this season it's so frustrating.
So far so good for the WC. Foden captain too and currently sitting on 49 points with 6 left to play tomorrow. Downside is Martinez and Gusto (though he's on my bench). Everyone else, even third on the bench Doughty has returned something.
I've lost my work league twice on the last day, but that Isak over Wilson last couple of games last season was amongst my most painful memories of this game.
