Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Yeah my thinking was to go big at the beginning with defence:

Ederson, TAA, Robertson, Cancelo, Gabriel, James

Just the two Liverpool lads not returning. Only caveat is, to get a 8m midfielder (to replace Bailey), I need to take out £2m from that defence.

Any reason not to do Kane to Haaland tonight?

I couldn't wait. I just did it. My reasons, I can't be doing with Kane dropping deep all the time, Haaland will be more of a focal point. Plus upcoming fixtures for City. I will try and get in some other Spurs assets who chip in with attacking returns for cheaper than Kane (kulu). Kane will still come good, but he burnt me towards the end of last season and I'm not going to hold onto him again waiting, it's infuriating. I thought Pep would ease Haaland in but obviously not..

Agreed.
If Haaland can batter West Ham away, we don't need much more warning.

Checked the price change tracker and he's already clocking over 100% and Kane on -78%, so it looks likely Haaland will go up tonight, and then Kane down some point this week.
Have done it now to avoid any stress!

Kane out Darwin in. £2.5m to sort out one of Rashford/Bailey the week after.

Bus team...

Ward
TAA Walker Trippier James
Salah Rashford Bailey
Darwin Jesus Haaland (c)

Subs: Iversen, DaSilva, Andreas, Williams

I did try to tell those who went Kane that the urge to go to Haaland for GW2 will win out so why bother even going there in the first place?

The fact Kane blanked in a 4 goal win
is unlucky, sure, but it's just booking in transfers you don't need to make. That's the thing I have learned the hard way in all the years of playing this game. Transfers are precious.

That looks like a 110 Mil team at least. Very nicely done mate.

You know Pep will pick Alvarez.

The Kane hate? I have him (and Haaland thank f**k), but he's been red hot all year. I'm keeping him until at least Forest. Fully expect him to come good and in typical fantasy fashion, probably against Chelsea this weekend. 76 points for me. Could be better. Have other fires to put out. Hold the transfer this week and give Digne the Everton game. Then an Arsenal defender for him in week 3.

I was planning on saving a transfer but Martinelli is about to rise to 6.1 soon and 0.1 at this stage of season is basically worth 0.5 so I have taken Saka out and got him. They are basically the same player anyway and should get similar return over the course of season and I can use the funds to improve Dalot, White and Leicester GK. Getting Cucurella might be my next move.

Sancho will be next to go if I have to find savings, Sterling I will let ride for the while as Chelsea don’t have a striker and someone has to score (I think he has potential to match Hazard’s output which was great).

What’s very helpful this season is there is already a 4.0 defender that plays and should get some attacking return (Neco, maybe Patterson) and a £4.5m midfielder that looks very very good in Andreas. Also a 3-striker line up seems like a no brainer.

Think Bailey won't start next week and Rashford is against Brentford.

I am currently unavailable to watch the games... Can someone give my a headliner for how the below played? Thank you:

I still can't understand why Haaland wasn't in most teams.

A striker playing on the best team and his position is unchallenged.

Kane, as we saw last season, is a quarterback now who occasionally scores.

West Ham away with Ben Johnson playing CB was a "tough opposition"...

Seriously though, it was the preseason. Kane scored a few quality goals and looked very sharp and fit. For all the playmaker stuff, I still really don't know what he's gonna do. Is he just giving up goalscoring? Is Conte that much of an influence that he has convinced him to stop going for golden boots and the PL record?

He was one of the most selfish goalscorers not long ago, and he just needs to become that again because he's still an insane finisher and striker but just looks content to do the playmaking like when Rooney got old. That's why we kept him last season because it's Harry fecking Kane, he's gonna score goals at some point. But no idea now really, because his current role is working wonders on the pitch for the whole team.

Yeah he was playing deep and Conte came in and said "I want my striker in the box" and Kane did that and got some goals but then went back to becoming a DMF. No idea why... Maybe he's realised no matter what he does, Spurs won't win anything

Either ways not interested in this uncertainty when paying fecking 11.5m on one player. If anyone wants a Spurs player just get Son, far far better asset and will pretty much play up front the whole season.

Grealish - OK
Foden - OK
Haaland - Great
Cancelo - Good
Robertson - Unlucky to not get an assist
Diaz - Unlucky to not score
Darwin - A good option, starts a doubt
Perisic - Not fit yet
Martinelli - Scored a poachers goal. Good value at £6m
Sancho - Avoid
Rashford - Avoid
Dalot - Avoid
Bruno - Avoid
Eriksen - Avoid
Neto - Played well, Wolves are crap up front though. Might be a cheap enabler. Dont expect big points.
Bailey - Avoid
James - Everton had no striker, clean sheet was easy.
Chilwell - As above
Mount - Chelsea were poor going forward
Sterling - As above
Havertz - As above

Amen to that. If Haaland gets injured or we start seeing Darwin have an impact on Salah's output then this is the way.

I am so tempted to get WC already. I will take 3-4 weeks to get my desired team otherwise but could make it so tasty already...

Was thinking exactly that. It isn't impossible that we may think of going Son instead of Salah on WC1 and save the 1m but have to see the impact of the new system at Liverpool. Far too early but let's see.
