Fantasy Premier League 22/23

79 take that all day, considering TAA, Robertson, Ward, Bailey & Jesus scored a total of 7 between them

Going with Kane for GW1 was completely fine. I was on Kane from the first day itself. It's the morons who were on Haaland initially, watched that community shield and thought "this guy won't score goals" and shifted. Utterly brain-dead as far as having any idea about the sport goes.

I actually decided based on the game that there's no way I can go without him and that's what made me go with both. If he's getting those kinda open chances vs the best defense in the league he's gonna rip apart the other defenses. Only question was fitness which was perfectly answered with him getting 90 minutes.
I was referring more to the crazy ownership drop he had after that miss. Same bunch who make their transfers a week before the next deadline and cause a volatile price change market.

Yep, that's just plain dart.

Wish I'd stuck with my initial obvious Haaland straight in plan, but sometimes you overthink these things.

A few cleanies from the powre 5 at the back in Cancelo/James/Tripper starts things off. With TAA/Robertson having a weird first game, the attacking hauls will soon kick in for these 5.

Rashy looks a big problem too though, but will soak him up for 1 more game, then probably ship him pre Liverpool.

I made a B team (threemium). Just to see difference between threemium and "noooo, threemium is not the way".
Main team: 45 points
Threemium: 80 points (btw, just as some app on youtube predicted :nervous: )

Man city boys came through to salvage a bad week. No knee jerk changes for week 2. Happy I went with Haaland and not Kane.

Cancelo’s got a yellow but is still set to get 2 bonus points. How come he always get so high bps?
He's premium for a reason.

Ok, seems to me that Rashford wasn't bargain after all
He's a 6.5m player. You wouldn't expect any of them to return every game. He'll get a few goals. That being said Martinelli is the better pick by a long way.

Tempted to just do Diaz to Kulu.

But i'll wait 1 week probably. Aside from that 74 points not terrible.

Let down by the United players in my team. 57 points.

Not gonna change anything though.

Yeah I'm 56 and not changing anything just yet. Thinking Rashford out before Liverpool and see what else I can juggle around

Not bad 78 but made a mistake putting Ward in net and having Mendy on the bench, cost me 6 points.

Looks like Haaland is already going up in price tonight, so if you're thinking of doing Kane to Haaland may have to do it today.

So glad I got rid of Sancho and freed up funds for Haaland. United players are a hard avoid for the foreseeable.

Look good for next week with no pressing transfers.

49 points, bad but considering my captain choice not completely terrible. I am inclined to let it ride for one more week and save a transfer, maybe one of Sancho, Diaz and Sterling will do something next week, besides I need at least 2 transfers to make substantial moves anyway.

Yup, threemium paid off and big at the front - to an extent. 68 points and just swapped Kane for Nunez and banked 2.5 M on a FT. Think I’m going to to sit on the money for a week though, no hits. Kulu tempts me, but next week 2.5 M is a hell of a lot to play around with.

Think we might have the same team

I'm also thinking no hits but price rise can feck us over in a week's time so could just move tonight.

Threemium is the way. 2 of 3 if not all 3 will always deliver. Plus you are not bothered will they be benched or with whom they are playing because they are favorites in nearly every game.

With you on that.

I’m Leicester GKs
TAA Cancelo White
Almiron Bailey Salah Martinelli
Haaland Nunez Jesus

Watching and refreshing FPL stats, if Kulu moves I might be compelled to act. On the other hand, Perisic and Doherty should come back in, and Cucurella and Fofana if he goes to Chelsea weigh on my thoughts. I don’t get all the Bailey negativity, I know they lost to Bournemouth but it’s not his fault. 5m forward/wingers from top half teams aren’t going to get attacking returns every week, but there’s value. Sure, Neto got a return and Podence, but is that worth taking hits after 1 week? Nah. If I’m going to be pissed off about something it’s the 1 pt I got from TAA!

True, which is why I hope to hold the money for a week. Kane may drop, and Nunez and Haaland might rise .2. Haaland almost certainly will go .2.

Yep, same structure except I have Walker, James and Neto instead of Cancelo, White and Almiron.

Absolutely no point in taking a hit to do a Bailey to Neto/Leeds mid etc but my hit will be him to an 8m mid with similar money in the bank as yours. So that could prove to be valuable.

It's just one GW but I watched Villa very extensively last season as a Coutinho owner for far too many GWs, and apart from a few freak games they looked really dire and when they do look dire they are absolutely hopeless like yesterday when they got 0.71 xG vs Bournemouth. That was my big worry with them, and it hasn't changed. Their fans want Gerrard to be sacked and have no faith in him either. With regards to Bailey, Gerrard is prone to changing his attacking setup and if he goes back to two up front with Ings and Watkins, Bailey can get benched as well. Overall, my gut feeling says he'll be gone from most teams very soon. So if I can already replace him with an 8m mid and get in on an attack of a top-4 team then why not.

62 points. I could have done with Perisic staying on the bench as I've Toney sitting there with 8 feckin points.

Ditched Kane for Haaland. What was I thinking? Kane generally starts slow.

So are Villa unfortunately. I was thinking should I rather get a good attacker if I'm covering City CS with Walker anyway.
If City are likely (most likely?) to get clean sheets, then having two of their defenders is better than one?

I get “covering” when its attacking players as you have a chance of your choice being involved in some way, but not sure it’s the same with defenders. I’d have all City or all Liverpool if I could afford it as it’s 99% that they’ll have good scores.
