Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Haaland often start well. I think Spurs can come out flying too, but also have games when they struggle and Chelsea is the perfect team to stop them.

Yeah I think Chelsea are my oversight, not got a single player from them after taking Sterling out.

I'm noping out of the mid-price City midfielders to begin with I think. Any of them could be benched and I wouldn't be surprised.

Don't think I've factored in Alvarez enough up to now.

Perisic starts in friendly. I have to have him I think or Doherty.

Rather them than trippier, Bailey, Digne etc.

I am sticking with Haaland. Hopefully this gets his ownership down a bit ahead of the first game.

Only know one from the report - Jorginho set up Sterling
Thanks yeah I ended up checking in detail and found the assists. CHO for mount and the one you mentioned. Nobody got an assist counted for the third goal.

How much longer is Jota out? Looks like he is competition for Diaz on the left. Núñez and Firmino have the #9 spot locked out. And honestly Diaz hasn’t lit up preseason. So concerns for now about that 8.0 midfielder spot.

I had Diaz for a while but I think TAA Robbo and Salah is the three to have from Liverpool.

Doherty starting for Spurs.. Might go back to him from Dier.

Just threw up a bit in my mouth. :wenger:

This donkey Nunez is gonna feck up my Salah points.

Yep looks like it.

Núñez and Firmino have the #9 spot locked out.

Yeah the only question is if he'll make Salah ineffective as a result.

Yup I got rid of Diaz after that. I think Robertson is the much better pick.

Klopp said, "a while". So I imagine not until GW3 or GW4 will we see him ready since it is a hamstring injury. Diaz gets subbed most games too so I would save some money if I was you and get Martinelli. He got two assists today and is linking up well with Jesus. Also, he is only 6mil. Could use that extra 2mil on other players

Diaz + Haaland or Nunez + Mahrez + 2.5m?

Wish I could have Haaland and Nunez but I just can't bring myself to drop Kane or Jesus. Even Alvarez looks worth a punt at £6.5m.

Alright guys, seriously, who's the best 8.0 option?

Mahrez? Foden? Mount? Saka? Sancho?

Trying to get rid of Diaz and have Martinelli locked already, so preferably not Saka.

Mahrez will give you a great haul, and then just cause you pain. At 31, he isn’t suddenly going to become a nailed on starter.

Pep has obviously let Jesus go because he feels that Alvarez is ready. Sterling has gone because Grealish is ready, and the constant waiting for City’s teamsheet will just cause you annoyance.

Go for Bowen/Saka/Maddison and save yourself the suffering!

Is there a way to start from scratch without deleting your whole team? Feel like I want to play around a bit, but I'm tied with funds and cross over players so would be better from a blank slate

I know what you mean, but I need some city attacking representation in my side. I have Saka already, might downgrade to odegard or martinelki for the extra cash to try and get de Bruyne in

Lloris
TAA Walker Zinchenko Cancelo Robertson
Salah Bailey Mahrez
Kane Jesus

I think this is it for me..
I see good defenders scoring as much or more than the 8m mids so I prefer Robertson over Diaz for example..
I also like Bailey.. I was more in favour of Coutinho but I think those funds can be better invested and pick Bailey instead who keeps scoring..
I also have a good rotation option for a 8m mid if Mahrez doesn’t perform but for me he’s a proven PL player and will play a lot.. he’s the type to even score/assist 2+ in any game.. I’ll keep an eye on Mount/Saka/Sancho to replace him if needed..
I’ve given up on Martinelli/Rashford cuz no matter how good their price point is, they haven’t been showing they can score consistently so I’ll hold back on them for now.. I also think they’ll be the first to get subbed during games so huge risk.. I much rather prefer Bailey for instance who may give similar or more points then these two players and is much cheaper..
I had Alisson as my GK but I like Salah/TAA/Robbo better and I think Lloris will be a solid keeper under Conte..

Think I'm gonna avoid all City mids for the time being. I honestly think it's less stress. Might just alternate premiums based on form and fixtures. Keep coming back to this at the moment and don't see much changing...

Ramsdale (Gazzaniga)
TAA Robertson Cancelo Trippier (Patterson)
Martinelli Bailey Salah Mount (Andreas)
Jesus Kane (Taylor)

I think Diaz is the best one for gameweek 1.

Otherwise I think Kulusevski is the best one.

Sancho may beat them all, but he missed the last game so probably would avoid him unless we know he starts.

Cancelo-Mount or Walker-Sterling?

Robertson + 6.0 mid OR Luis Diaz + Walker

Bailey scored again... hmmm... Robertson + 5.0 mid. Upgrade Martinelli to Saka

Ederson
TAA Robertson Cancelo Gabriel Dier
Salah Saka Bailey
Jesus Kane

I like it I think. Just deciding whether Doherty will start first few games.

I got Robertson instead of Diaz so that ship has sailed.

Tempted by one of kulusevski / mount.

Less competition for Diaz though. Plus I don’t wanna triple up on Arsenal cause I already have Jesus and one defender from Arsenal. Odegaard is Arsenals captain now. So he won’t be rotated. And Saka and Jesus won’t be rotated. It’s Martenilli who will be to give way to ESR.

I might go Robertson as well, but go with only cheap midfielders and Salah.

It is not ideal structure and do not allow me to get Mahrez, Foden easily, but if I need a hit I will take that.

The only reason I consider this is so I can have Bailey, Martinelli and Pereira that I think can all go up fast in value early on. Particular Bailey.

Same reason I'm looking at Odegaard, shoe in to start every week now he's captain and cheaper than most other certain starters at big clubs.

Ah so, if you have an Arsenal defender already then no point having three of their players. Martinelli started 4 of the 5 preseason games and is on form so I have him in my team currently for the first 2 games at least. Considering switching him with Ødegaard though since he is captain now like you say. Who knows when deadline day comes though, in two minds about taking a risk and going with Bruno Guimarães or Allan Saint-Maximin
