Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Nah, no way I'm going with the Martial gamble... they were winning with the Sancho-Rashy-Antony front 3, so I'm guessing he's just leaving it. I might have to go Antonio instead.... which seems drastic!

Has a double, but every chance it's a double blank!

Ok, I've obviously got one major area of weakeness, but how's this look for the best bet to cover this week's double, plus the future ones?

Steele Iversen
TAA, Shaw, Stones, Trippier, Botman
Salah, KDB, Rashy, Mitoma, Andreas
Haaland (c) Martial, Greenwood.

3 United
3 City
2 Newcy (they double soon)
2 Brighton - can bring a 3rd in for their 2 later doubles
Key 2 Liverpool big hitters

Martial a risk.
Greenwood deadweight.
No March - but is he all that?

Thoughts peoples?
March is a United legend and he's converting into points now. Martial is a mistake.

Have this starting XI but worried about my bench. Newcastle defense have been leaking but it’s Sou at home. And Martinelli against Chelsea might give a good haul

DDG
AWB Estu TAA
Mitoma March KDB Grealish
Isak Haaland(TC) Jota

bench : Raya, Trippier, Martinelli, Henry

This is always a worry - we chase the doublers, and end up benching or binning a single gamer.

The alternative would either be have March instead of Andreas, and play a mid 5. But that would mean losing about 0.9m from Martial, which takes you into the chimpola dela monte bracket of strikers.

Or downgrade 5.1m Shaw to either Lindelof or Wan B, but then you have Martial but benched, which feels even more pointless.
Hmm decisions.

Thank goodness this isn't a Fri eve deadline!

That’s all my worry this week. Was thinking subbing jota off for him but klopp hasn’t been helpful in his presser. Any news whether jota trained ? Will wait till deadline to see if any reports coming out about this training

Double defence abd weak bench is something which i avoid tbh. Greenwood is man less and Pereira is meh.
You are all crazy about Steele but are you sure that he will not be rotated?
No need for Mitoma AND March. One is enough.
Martial; you know the story.

Isak is 6.7. Good option for double.

Here is my team so you just do the opposite and you are golden.

Raya (Iversen)
Stones, Trent, Estupinan (mings, Trips)
Salah, Mitoma, Rashy, Gakpo, Grealish
Haaland, Ivan fecking Toney (Isak)

Heres mine right now +1 sub with Bench Boost.

Ederson, Steele
TAA, Robbo, Lindelof, Botman, Burn
Rashford, Salah, Mitoma, Macallister, Andreas
Haaland, Alvarez, Watkins

It's essentially Watkins to Antonio or Martial.... or just keep Watkins, since were shit :annoyed:

Sorry guys, i wish you all well this double but i really really hope that KDB will be benched or flop.

We conceded 8 goals all season at OT. And if he does something it will be maybe one assist or goal. Go for double striker

For this GW I will transfer out Saka for Rashford and probably TAA for White, but I'm tempted to get Ederson too. Is it worth to take -8 to get him and sell Kepa, given that my other GK option is Raya (NHO H) ?

Potential selection in that case:
GK: Ederson
DF: TAA, Estupinan, Trippier, Mee
MF: Rashford, Mitoma, March, Bruno
CF: Jota, Haaland(C)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks. :D

Play Raya.

No salah or kdb here as would require taking Bruno out for a hit which seems a bit pointless (if it was a single gw for Bruno I'd obviously do it). Expecting one or both to run riot and that's my season done.

How much roulette is Pep going to play this weekend??

I’ve got KdB and Haaland but not sure they’ll play both games now they’ve practically sealed the league.

OR, will they both play both games to really turn the screw and rub Arsenal’s face in it?

Play Raya.
Agreed. If it was a FT the punt would be worth it but not for a hit.

Yes, it seems right to me too, Raya is like a magnet for saves and bonus points while Ederson IMO can make a maximum of 12 points in double as he plays in a better team and rarely gets those points for saves let alone bonus points.

Are there any other moves worth another -4 hit (-8 in total), for example, Grealish for Martinelli or Watkins for Gakpo ? Also probably not, but just asking. :D

It’s never that easy. I got a 38 last week and dropped 100k places in rank, this week rebounded 80k with an 84. If you hit the right Captain, you never know what else will happen and one haul will never finish you off.

We can’t have everyone!

Either way... Your a legend in my eyes.
I'm not sure if you're trolling me or not.
Says all I need to know about this transfer

Anyway. Can field this team without taking a hit:

Ederson
Trippier Estupinan TAA Shaw
Salah Rashy Mitoma MacAllister Foden
Haaland (C)

Hope for a good week finally as the last 4-5 GW's went to shit for me.

Have you ever watched videos, taken on opinions, thought about your transfers, finally come to a decision, confirmed them with every confidence…

…only to immediately regret them and wish you could take them back?

That is why i love good old rage transfer. At half time during the game.

Rage transfer is the way.
(Quote from Star Wars @Dirty Schwein :wenger: )

Haaland TC active. I'm ready for Pep roulette inflicted pain.

Utterly at a loss on what to do.

Team currently is (dgw in bold)
Steele
Shaw
- Mee - Estupinan - Trippier
Saka - Grealish - Rashford - Mitoma
Haaland
- Kane

Subs: Kepa / Chilwell / Martinelli / Watkins

I have 2x FTs but to get in the likes of TAA and Salah, I'd also need to get rid of Kane. So looking at a -4.
Chilwell > TAA
Saka > Salah
Kane > this is the fecking annoying one. Can't get in a BHA striker as I already have 3x BHA. Can't afford a Newcastle striker (unless I downgrade TAA to Robertson) and the only striker calling out to me with a DGW is... Martial

I'm actually very tempted to do a -8 and field the following
Steele
Robertson - Stones - Shaw - Estupinan
Salah - Grealish - Rashford - Mitoma
Haaland (C) - Martial

But that's a complete gamble on Martial and leaves Tripper on the bench vs Soton!
feck this game. I'm going to drink many beers and revisit this in 4 hours time.

So, any news on Jota then? Have one FT...

Isak's my only single fixture player this GW, so I was thinking Martial for him, but now I'm unsure.

I have actually bought Isak in! I wouldn’t be taking him out for Martial. Newcastle have been regularly putting 3-4 goals past teams like Southampton. The fact he will get on the pitch twice in 36 seals it for me.

Klopp said Jota got a heavy knock and they were monitoring him, but he hasn’t been seen in training.

You'd like to think the latter.

Common sense would suggest City go as near to full strength as possible for the next two, then heavily rotate when Real come knocking.

However as we well know, common, sense and Pep do not come hand in hand!

Personally think KdB is worth the risk though. He's the leagues form player along with the obvious and can outscore everyone bar maybe Haaland with 60 minutes on the pitch across a DGW.

What do we think of this team?

Ederson
Trent Tripper Shaw
Martinelli Mitoma Rashford De Bruyne Gakpo
Wilson Haaland(C)

Debating whether to throw in Akanji instead of Shaw and put another keeper like Raya in but not sure.

That's the experience every single wildcard isn't it?
Watching the single fixture players smash your doublers.
